We love this little, super cheap spot to stay. Several times throughout the month we took a break from our boondock spot and enjoyed free WiFi, a dog park, the interesting wildlife in the park, awesome playground, and overall very quiet and respectful visitors. A nice shower, warm water, and clean surroundings made the stay worthwhile. A water hookup would really shoot this park to the top of our list. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very good basics for $18 per night! The CG is along one side of a large municipal park that sits along US Hwy 81 on the edge of town. On one side trees and dense shrubs separate it from the riverbank. On the other side a fishing pond separates the CG from the other muni park offerings (playground, ball diamonds, etc.) The CG has long, paved, pretty level pads and 30 amp with some 50 amp. Sites are generally about 40' wide with grass. CG interior road is gravel and is wide. Muni park roads are paved and trees are trimmed so no worries with a big rig. At one end of CG is a trailhead for the Cowboy Trail (biking, walking), which is paved here for a few miles as it follows the river. Pay the iron ranger. A police car passed through the CG every few hours. It was quiet day and night, and the WiFi signal was strong. There is a truck stop for diesel across Hwy 81. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice, small city owned park. There are about 15 concrete pads some with 50 amp service. First come first served. I nosed-in and had a view of the small lake just to the north. Very scenic. Wi-Fi is free and good. It is supplied by the city. I'm using it to submit this review. Wi-Fi perhaps throughout the city. The park was a pleasant surprise. I will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I didn't get to actually camp here. The campground is closed as the city completely remodels it. They have torn down the bath house and built a new, cement block bath house (still under construction). They have also brought in a lot of fill and rock to level the place out, so this should solve the constant mud and puddles issues in the past. Also, they have put in all new electrical pedestals. I dont' know when it will re-open. I am looking forward to that day. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Agree with previous review. We were traveling through and after a long day it was the nearest place to stay. Sites were muddy because of recent rains, but it was quiet and we had electric rather than staying in the Wal-Mart parking lot a mile down the road. Bathroom was rustic but clean and supplied with paper products. We would stay here again in a pinch. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay here when visiting family. It is badly maintained and run down but the only place in that area other than a state park north of town. Rain causes huge mud holes. Fresh water and a RV dump are available. It is near a river and entry point to a hiking trail, and part of a really nice city park with a pond. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
