Very nice Forest Service CG with electric hookups on southern loop. Reservable online , with some walk-up sites- we got a good one on a weekday afternoon. Base rate is $14; half off for certain govt. passes, then + $2 for electric. Super friendly, busy hosts. Large, mostly level sites. Clean vault toilets. Big Sky is up the road and has a small market with good deli food . You can get a cell phone signal there; none in CG. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Chose this campground so we could visit friends near Big Sky. Overall was a nice forest campground on the Gallatin river. We stayed at site 5 - just a 20 foot walk to the river. We had plenty of privacy in our site. While there is no water hookups, you can fill up when you enter the campground (just go left and left again). We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

One of the better N.F. campgrounds in the area. Wide enough interior roads with a good turn around, good gravel with out much dust. It is by the river but the mosquitoes were not to bad. There are a limited number of sites with electricity and they are in a separate part of the camp ground. The place will be closing down in September 2011 for a complete "redo" in time for next year summer season. Listed as big rigs "OK", but I would absolutely have some way to check your site before hand as trees and depth could be a significant problem. The campground hosts are wonderful people and if you can get them on the phone (it is possible) and explain your rig then they can advise you appropriately. The sites (electric) for greater than 34 feet with electric are near the host on east side then at least #s 7,10, and 12. There are more but I remember these. Make your reservation asap since they go quickly. There are 3 sites that are non reservable but plan to arrive around noon or sooner if you want to get one. The venue is great, near by to Big Sky resort and shops, but supplies are limited there. Located about 12 miles from the north edge of Yellowstone park on Hwy 191 40 miles from the West Yellowstone entrance. One amusing thing, the hosts sell firewood cut and wrapped imported from " California " how strange. Would definitely stay again if the chance arises in the future. Especially since we now know the lay of land. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This National Forest campground is about an hour north of Yellowstone along the Gallatin river. Sites are about 50 ft from the river with easy access. The southern loop has 30A electrical hookups. There is water available during the summer near the entrance. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Sites were packed dirt and gravel but were fairly level and include a table and fire pit. Many hiking and sightseeing opportunities in the area. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
