Great place to park for access to town. Water and electric were very good. Located on small boat harbor. The view from the bridge of the channel based businesses was very interesting. Close to the airport so float-planes and jets can be heard. Toilets available at marina. No Showers. Only other RV park with hookups is 6-7 miles north by ferry dock. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is just a short walk over the bridge from downtown, and it offers a pleasant view over the harbor. It is a very basic paved parking lot, and tended to be noisy with large trucks frequently turning around next to us. The water and electric hookups worked well, but were not particularly conveniently placed. The bathroom was a bit of a walk, and always seemed a bit dirty with all the commercial fishing usage from the harbor. There were no showers. For what we got, we felt the price was way too high. Fortunately, we thoroughly enjoyed Sitka itself, so this campground was an OK place to sleep. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is basically a parking lot near the marina. It is very convenient but doesn't have any shade or atmosphere or amenities. Just a lot to park in and go explore Sitka, which is what we wanted. The restrooms are a bit of a walk to get to, but they are clean and adequate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a paved (blacktop) RV parking lot just across the bridge on Japonski Island at Sealing Cove Boat Harbor. There is 30 amp power and water at each site. There is a dump site at the sewage treatment plant about 1/4 mile away. Pull in forward and you will have a view of the harbor and Sitka sound. About 1/2 mile walk to town over the bridge. The airport is on Japonski Island and there is quite a bit of traffic on the road. There were very few RV's there during our stay. The marina next door has flush toilets, but no showers. Sitka has a free City Internet, but connections at this location were very iffy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a paved parking lot with RV sites marked by white lines. Back of sites are on a waterway which connects the boat harbor with the ocean. Sea lions, harbor seals and dolphins swam through the channel during our visit, as well as the passage of colorful fishing boats and yachts. Downtown Sitka is a short walk away. We were able to get DirecTV reception from the park. While not the best campground as far as amenities go, the location more than makes up the difference. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
