We enjoyed our stay. The campground was clean and well kept. Close to town. Clean laundry with 2 washers and dryers. Large sites with firerings and tables. Our site got a little waterlogged but there was a lot of rain. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A nice campground. Nice big sign out front - makes easier to find! Good Wi-Fi and cable TV. However, some of the down sides are: road noise (especially big trucks all night), water has a mineral taste to it, both our Verizon air card and cell phone couldn't get enough signal to work, and overhead branches have probably scratched our RV. We'd stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very friendly owners who make you feel welcome. The campground maintenance is impeccable, one of the cleanest and best run campgrounds I have stayed at. Now for the bad, sites are too open and the "wooded" sites are pretty much all seasonal campers. The pool was cold, it has a heater but I assume the cost to run it outweighs what they were bringing in that weekend. Great place for a one night stay or family gathering. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We were given a very nice pull-through site on the river, but power and water are on the wrong side. Could not reach waterline at all. High rating because park is very well taken care of, grass manicured, seasonals had tidy sites, and pool was immaculate. Lovely private view of river and free canoes for campers' use. Wi-Fi only available at pool for waterfront campers. Full hookups which are more central have Wi-Fi. Choice of waterfront site with E/W or central full hookup. Cash/check only. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a GS park with easy access from RT. 2 east of Skohegan. It is a very clean and
well run campground with all grassy sites. There are 26 full hookup pull-thrus located center park and some back-ins along one side. Most units are personally escorted to the site by the park owner who is on site 24/7. There are a few seasonals. The pool is clean and well maintained. The grounds are maintained daily. The park is right on the Kennebec river and there are a few canoes and paddle boats for rent but when we were there they were in need of repair and could not be used. It should be noted that the owners are in their 2nd year of ownership and improvements are on-going. One drawback may be the way the pull-thrus are setup. If the park is full and your in the middle, you will feel quite closed in with units all around you. There is a very good restaurant across the road with take-out service. There is a nice playground area. We would return here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
