This is our third stay here at Callaway. The camping area continues to improve. The older sites are now being renovated to provide updated hookups. The access road has firmed up very well and does not present near the challenge as it once did. If you are looking for a resort atmosphere, with wifi and a pool, this isn't the place for you. However, if it is peace and quiet with an abundance of the outdoors and nature, you won't be disappointed. This will continue to be a stop for our family in the future. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here in a 40 foot RV but the access road doesn't really handle big rigs. There is one spot for a large RV: no sewer, no shade, but a power pole and water. You have to drive up a large grass hill to get there, and I would not try it if it had rained recently. It had been very dry, so my husband said no problem. We scraped the front spoiler just a bit. This is a lovely spot, but just not big rig friendly. Their actual campground is strange. They have a number of permanent people living here, so the people coming in would have to go down a fairly steep hill to camp. I would not try this in anything larger than a 25 foot. It has power, water and sewer, but the access road looks difficult. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best kept secrets in the area! The staff was very friendly and it was quiet. They are in the middle of site renovations as well as building the access road. I am quite sure that this will be a very nice location upon completion. I will stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very interesting place. It is an old Plantation and there are four full hookup spots available for $8 a night ($6 if you stay a week). They were full when we arrived but they allowed us to boondock in the field. I talked with the person in the store and told her people wouldn't mind boondocking here and she was fine with it. We are camped next to a row of trees with open fields and historical buildings all around. Wonderful pastoral setting. They have new nice bathrooms with one shower in each. Dogs were free to run the fields. Found it when a friend of wife's we were going to visit told us about it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
