The cost per night includes the $10 SURPRISE access fee. Electric only for $22; PLUS $10/day or $35 yearly State park Access Pass. (This was a surprise that had us considering leaving and eating the 1st nights charge) Water and dump station are on site. There is a nice boat launch and lake for boating or kayaking with lots of wildlife. The main shower house was nice and pretty clean. The restrooms scattered among the loops are block out-houses. The sites are generous. Trees blocked my sat dish but some local channels were available using the antennae. We had minimal cell and data with Verizon. We hear AT&T worked better. Nice park if want seclusion; we'll look elsewhere next time and file this under "been there; done that". We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here the first week this new state campground opened so keep that in mind as you read this. While this new state campground certainly has potential, it's currently unfinished. The dump station wasn't operable and you had to haul your trash out. In addition, the 3-mile road into the campground is gravel that creates an incredible amount of dust and kicks up stones onto any tow vehicle. However, I'm told that over the next year all these things will be fixed + an additional 50 campsites are being added. This state campground is located near some great fishing and boating areas and the local is beautiful. Just keep in mind that it's a diamond in the rough. We camped here in a Motorhome.
