We spent 5 days here the week prior to the Fourth of July. Check-in is slightly confusing as the office has no sign. The campground is nice and fairly easy to navigate. The roads and sites are all paved. Almost all of the sites have a slight to moderate grade so leveling is required. Many of the sites are small and will not accommodate larger RV's. Many of the campers had additional vehicles, boats, jet skies, etc., which sometimes made the campground feel crowded. This was especially true as the weekend approached. There are multiple bathhouses. They are older, but they are clean. As an adult, I would leave the bicycles home unless your are an avid biker. We tried ours and everywhere you go is up hill both ways. Wi-Fi is available at the check-in office and they will provide the password for you. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No sewer connection, but there are two dump stations. AT&T service was great with 3G service. No cable, but about 7 broadcast channels are available. There is no store. The closest grocery store is in the town of Ninety Six. We did visit the Ninety Six National Park. If you are looking for something to do, I would recommend going. The cost is free. We would stay here again We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Was here last in November and the campground hosts are doing a better job in cleaning the baths than what the state staff did. Cobwebs and trash around the vents need to be cleaned, and the inside walls swept down and a good thorough cleaning of the baths; however, they are better than they have been, and Clorox is being used to disinfect the floors. There are no sewer connections, but people do a pretty good job of keeping sites clean. Few sites for longer rigs. Good views of the lake from any of the sites. There are 2 dump stations, and they do recycle aluminum, plastic, and newsprint. We stay here because there are few parks, and we have business here several times a year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a hidden gem! Price included the Reserve America reservation fee and taxes. We were in a lake front site which was beautiful. The sites and roads are paved. We had water and 50 amp, although some sites are 30 amp. There are dump stations. Due to the trees we were unable to access satellite, but with the views who cared! Good Verizon Wi-Fi and phone service. The lake is crystal clear! Gave this park an 8 due to no TV or sewer, but we will stay here happily again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
