Stayed at Jumbo C.G. three nights. Best campground on the Grand Mesa for rigs over 30 feet. Quiet black top circular drive, and large tent pads at each site. A screen tent is definitely in order, as the mosquitoes are a real nuisance. But after all, this is the Colorado high country (over 10k ft elevation) with over 300 lakes. Beautiful Mesa Lakes within walking distance, lots of fishing and hiking trails, camp hosts friendly and helpful, and The Grand Mesa is magnificent!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a national forest campground, make reservations at www.recreation.gov. 21 sites with electric, 5 without. Water available but no hookup. No sewer or dump station. Vault toilets. Absolutely beautiful location at 8000 feet elevation. Lakes all around with good fishing. Sites are neat with picnic tables, some with shade. Cell phones work. Warnings about mosquitoes but we did not experience them at this time of year. Would definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
