This park totally fits the vibe that is Matlacha. Very eclectic. Walk to shops, bars and restaurants. There is a clubhouse with a kitchen, TV, etc. that appears to be in the finish stages. A community fire pit , tiki bar, lounge chairs, boat dock... We met several nice couples and had a great time. The spots are tight but everyone, including some really big rigs fit in. The Yacht Club in Coral Gables, about 20 minutes away provides a beach and a pool. We would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Decided to visit based on prior review and resorts' website. Calling this park a resort is somewhat of a stretch. There are very few amenities. What they do have is a beautiful piece of land fronting Matlacha Sound to park your RV. They list eleven sites but if they were all full, you would be packed very tightly. We, however, along with two of our friends and their motorhomes, had the resort pretty much to ourselves. It was great, and we had a good time exploring downtown Matlacha (mat-la-shay). Several good seafood restaurants and art galleries. We plan on returning for a few days in the fall before the busy winter months. If you are looking for a few days in "old Florida," this is your place. Just don't expect the usual campground amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a wonderful find! This small RV park has only 11 spots available for rent, and the family that runs it is awesome! Beautiful setting on the water with a dock to fish off of or watch the dolphins and manatee as well as free use of a couple of kayaks to paddle around the canals and mangroves. The owners are continually making improvements to this place, and right before we got there they put in a FREE washer and dryer. Large community building setup with a projector that we made use of on several occasions! Outdoor area has tiki bars, a great fire pit, palm trees, beautiful dolphin sculpture. I really enjoyed this place, and the town it's in is the icing on the cake. You can walk to various local shops and restaurants, and the county park is right next door for those that like to walk or run for exercise. There are many great beaches nearby, and if you want a free pretty beach to spend the day on, head towards Sanibel island, and while on the bridge there, pull off on either side in one of the many free parking areas before you come to the toll. We got very spoiled staying here and hope to make it back again soon! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
