We were not impressed with this FamCamp campground. The area had received a significant amount of rain prior to our arrival and during our stay. We had to wade through water to get into our RV. Your camper sets on a concrete pad but it's only slightly wider than the camper so you have to walk through wet grass. They need to make the sites wider and add rock to the roads. There are a number of trains that pass near by but they didn't bother us. The highway 370 toll bride is narrow but it's not a problem. Not sure we would stay again on future travel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Last year we were not able to stay there because the park had been flooded. They have worked hard on it and it's better than ever. This is a great Fam Camp. Happy to recommend it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here in our 40' RV with tow vehicle. We were in site 26. Back-in with full hookups, 50 amp, Wi-Fi, and Verizon cell coverage. Concrete pad with patio and iron table. Only issue was a noisy dog in RV behind us. We would return here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Base Camp is the name of the Offutt AFB Famcamp. It is located off base and technically it is in Bellevue, Nebraska, but this is a “burb” of greater Omaha. It offers wide FHU sites, dog walking areas, fishing (license required), nearby golf (Willow Lakes Golf Course has 18 holes off base; Warrior 9 on base is gone), a limited menu snack bar (8AM-6PM), bike rentals, laundry (2 washers-one broken- and 2 dryers), a fair to good Wi-Fi and a friendly on site host couple plus a helpful office staff. Our site was a level, cement pad with nice picnic table. They do have lots of charcoal grills throughout the campground as this is a base recreation area. The only downside is getting here. If you program your GPS to find the junction of E. Mission Ave(Hwy 370) and Harlan Lewis Rd (Harlan Lewis may also be called Hancock Road) you’re close. Just follow Hancock or Harlan Lewis Rd through a 25MPH residential area to Lake Dr. (on your left ), cross the railroad tracks and you’ve arrived. Our site was at the 41.11441N and 95.87910W, and this may be helpful if your GPS responds to Long/Lat inputs. In any case, don’t go on the main base with your rig as every security guard we talked with had no idea where Base Camp was located. This is a nice facility and we would definitely use it again if in the area. They do have some pull through sites but more back in sites. It is military/DOD only. We camped here in a Motorhome.
