This park is a diamond find. We searched online and found it, close to everything, but you would never know it is there. Fantastic hosts and a local call out Mobile RV repair service was needed so we called RBI who were without a doubt the best, most reliable, honest and fastest repair service we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The stay at this park was without doubt, one of the highlights of our trip and we will be back. Thank you to all involved in this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Giving this an extra point for being so affordable. One set of restrooms was locked and leaking water under the door. The other wasn't very clean and the trash hadn't been emptied in awhile. Not much to do, BUT it's quiet (if there are no events), pleasant, spacious and HUs work well. Only 1/2 mile to Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield National Park and as convenient to Atlanta as anything else we could find. Enter through Gate 1. Stayed several days and will definitely be back. . We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is the best kept secret in Atlanta. I lived in the area for about 20 yrs. before I retired and never new it was here. This was the second time I stayed here. It is a nice quiet park most of the time. The first time I stayed, the rodeo was there and even then the noise was not bad. Most of the time the park was almost empty. On this stay, the bathhouse was closed due to water problems caused by the hard winter. The bathhouse is old and run down but kept clean. It is scheduled to be replaced soon. I would definitely recommend this park if you are going to be in the Atlanta area and I will stay here again when I am in town. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed at Jim Miller Park for a weekend dog show. It is a municipal park complex used for the Georgia State Fair and other events. Our stay was pleasant and we were one of 3-4 motorhomes in the campground. The sites were level with hookups and easy access. Even though a dog show was in progress and would be interesting for dog lovers to visit, the campsites were away from the public area where the dogs were showing. Water pressure was a bit high but otherwise okay. We checked shower houses and they were outdated with poor maintenance but we were self contained so did not use them. Traffic in and out was light for us. Basically a camping spot to enjoy the activities of the park or for an overnight or home base to drive into Atlanta. No amenities but the price is right. We camped here in a Motorhome.
