Stopped here for an overnighter on our way west on I-40. The campground is located in a large city park about a mile off the interstate. Roads and sites in the campground are gravel. Sites are level. The city park offers a public pool and mini-golf. Sites are first-come first-serve, payment by cash in a lock box. Security is provided by periodic city police patrols. This was a very pleasant overnight stop. We would stop here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
As stated before this is a city park that is nice and open with trees and level sites. There are plenty of 50 amp sites as well as 30. The park is nice and clean and well maintained and for the price is a great bargain. It is a couple of miles from the interstate so there is no highway noise. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The previous reviews covered most of the issues. We arrived in the afternoon after a rain and the pull-through sites were gravel and dry. They do have a couple of handicap sites near the restrooms and showers. The showers are used by the general public and had wet floors when we arrived. They were cleaned early the next morning and the floors were dry. A negative was the dump station is located on the right side of the road and you will need to either drive on the grassy road shoulder or drive against the traffic to dump. I did not see any food or fuel services near by. It is a very convenient space to stop over night. I will stay here again if passing through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
What a nice public park. Very clean and well kept. Good level gravel sites. Close to the interstate but very quiet. A real find at 12 dollars. Only fault is the restrooms and showers are turned off in winter. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a good place for an overnight stay. The RV sites are in the back of the park, so it's a trek to get there. The interior roads are in decent shape with a few overhanging trees. The sites are long yet filled with mulch that is messy when wet. There were only 3 other RV's in the park. They all appeared to be long term. It was quiet and the price is hard to beat. It is a self-service park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a little oasis just off I-40!! This city park is adjacent to the golf course and it couldn't have been nicer. It's far enough off the interstate to be very quiet and the view of the lush, green fields made our stay very pleasant. The price was a bargain! The swimming pool is only seasonal and was closed when we were there, but there is a fishing pond and playground in the city park compound as well as walking trails. Each site had a picnic table and everything was neat and tidy. Although there are no sewer hookups, there is a free dump site. We just stayed one night as we were passing through the area, but this RV park could very easily be a destination park in the summer and early fall. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
