We stayed here after moving out of our house due to military orders. One of the quietest parks I have ever been too. And talk about green! The park is for DoD ID cards only. Located close to the runway of McChord AFB. You would think plane noise would be a problem but it wasn't. We stayed on site 37. Ample room for parking. The site itself was pretty level but if you have to set up in the hours of darkness, like I did, bring a headlamp because it is DARK! There is a large playground for kids and plenty of trails and low traffic roads. A running trail goes the entire length of the runway and into the base itself. Burger King and post shopping facilities are under 5 minutes away via car. The office staff are extremely friendly. There is WiFi available but we used my Verizon phone as a hotspot and had ample access. There is a clubhouse available as well as a large pavilion for rental. This would be an excellent place to stay if you wanted a base camp for exploring the Puget Sound area. For the money you can't beat it. Overall this a very nice campground and I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
