Price reflects free night for every 7 days. 30 amps/full hookups for this Airstream-only park. Sites are close together but most offer fantastic views of mountains to the west. The park sits atop of ridge around 3,000 feet in elevation. The temps were about 10 degrees cooler than surrounding lower elevations. The park is owned and managed by “Shareholders”. Shareholders take turns as the campground host. The park is very friendly and social. Visitors are treated just like Shareholders and are included in all of the many planned activities that take place each week. We stayed 9 nights but would liked to have stayed longer. Sites come with a concrete pad and all are very level. Laundry facilities are available at a very reasonable rate. The park is 75 acres and includes a number of hiking trails. Nearest large grocery store is in Floyd, about 17 miles away. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a small, beautiful RV park just for Airstreams. The mountain view from the campground is breathtaking with the most beautiful sunsets. The park is run by volunteer stockholders who take turns being hosts and everyone is super friendly. Guests can join in during park social events like happy hour under the trees or other activities they schedule. It's great balance of mountain tranquility and hospitality. There are no bathroom/shower facilities so plan to use your RV for that. There is a nice laundry in the clubhouse guests can use. The nearby town of Floyd is great (13 miles) and Roanaoke and Christiansburg are close by as well. Not to be missed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Only Airstream brand travel trailers and motorhomes may camp at this privately owned park. The campground is located on a 75 acre property in the Virginia mountains, convenient to I-81 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Campsites are on a ridge line affording beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The property is meticulously maintained. Wi-Fi service was strong. There is a very nice clubhouse with library, kitchen, and laundry facilities. Park host duties are rotated among the stockholders in the property. Hosts and stockholders camping at the park were extremely friendly and helpful. Children are allowed but there are no activities specifically for them. The park is extremely quiet and peaceful. Most visitors seem to enjoy multiple day stays for quiet relaxation or exploring the local area. There is strictly enforce limit of two non aggressive pets. Sites have full hookups but there are no shower facilities. There are many recreation, cultural, entertainment, dining and shopping opportunities in nearby Roanoke, Floyd, Christiansburg, and Blacksburg. Propane can be purchased on site for a reasonable price. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
