This is a beautiful park. The campground has a tent section, and a pet and no pet section. Many of the sites are waterfront. The only drawback is the roads and sites are tight for larger rigs. The park itself is wonderful. There are 3 beach areas with great parking, snack bars, and facilities. There are bike paths that will allow you ride a 10 plus mile loop. There are hiking trails and kayak rentals here. There is an old fort to tour also. You can stay here for a week and not run out of fun things to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is wonderful when you can get in. Very dog friendly and easy access to the water. Campsites are shaded and somewhat private (as private as a campground can get). I have stayed here several times and will continue to stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful waterfront sites. Some pull-through sites. Pet and non-pet areas. Quiet during the week. Sometimes noisy on weekends after the rangers leave. The rude ones don't follow the rules. Playgrounds for the kids, rent a kayak or bicycle, 2 fishing piers, the beach, bays and channels for fishing, a fort, miles of bike and walking trails, stores, snack bar, boat ramp, washer and dryer at each bathhouse, dump stations, and gorgeous sunsets. 14 day stay limit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
