We have been staying at the Silver Dollar for many years, usually in the off season, while visiting family and friends in the area. The price is good compared to the few other parks in the area, but I must say the RV spots are getting more and more run down - broken slabs, weeds, broken tree branches and trash everywhere. On the plus side, the laundry is clean and priced right, nice safe areas for morning/evening walks and it is quiet (on the golf side) especially at night. Don't know if we will be there again, unless they clean the RV area up a bit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wow, the only thing I can say is this park is not big rig friendly. Tight turning and very short sites make this a challenge to larger campers like our 36 foot travel trailer. You cannot get your rig and tow vehicle on the same site. Our hitch was at the curb of the road and the rear had about 1 foot of space before the electric post. I totally agree with the other review below about noise and how busy it it. More for the permanent homes; RV lots are an afterthought. Seems the RV sites were laid out in the 50s and 60s before folks started buying larger RVs. Would stay here again only if there was nothing else in the area...or maybe not go at all. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Camping sites are OK, but small. The concrete pads are broken. Driveways are small between trailers making it difficult to park. Lots of noise from the gun club during the day. Lots of traffic all day since the parking lot for the club house is adjacent to the camping area. There are no restroom facilities at the camping area. Toilets are available at the golf clubhouse. I would recommend this place for overnight or a short stay, but only if your rig has it's own toilet/bath facilities. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
