I really liked this little park so much. It is right off 395 so you can hear some road noise. The center sites have water and electric while the perimeter sites do not. We had one with hookups. There are many lovely trees to provide shade and fire rings. The table pads are concrete and the sites are gravel/dirt. I like it most because of the lovely shade trees. We would definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little wayside park right on 395. All dirt, no grass. There are concrete pads for the picnic tables. Water and power, but no dump station. Dump station nearby for $5. A little noisy being next to the highway, but then most parks along this section are too, being so close to the highway. Lots of mature shade trees. Good location for exploring the area. It's just a little north of Big Pine so all your shopping and fuel needs are close. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

When I first found this place 8 years ago, it would have rated an 8 due to convenience and low price. Now that I have solar, a towed, and more experience with different CGs, it falls to 5. First the good: There are 8 water/30A sites and all are level with good electrical pedestals and good water pressure. The shade trees are huge. The bathrooms and showers are reasonably clean. Now, the not-so-good: Prices have increased to where it's no longer competitive with my other favorite CGs in the area. It doesn't have an on-site dump so you have to drive 10 miles to the concessionaire's main CG where they "let you" dump for an extra $5. It's also right off Highway 395 so the noise can be bothersome. The people who pull in to walk their dogs without cleaning up are Very annoying. A host may or may not be on-site. Bottom line, it's OK if you want to be near Big Pine. We camped here in a Motorhome.
