This park is a hidden gem. It's run by the Vigo County Park department, so it's run like a park and not a campground. It has 53 sites for RVs and almost all of them are on the lake; you can fish from your campsite. All sites are in trees and shade. Many sites would be difficult in a large motor home, but we had no issues. Park does not take credit cards at this time, we had to find a ATM to pay with cash. The park is locked after 10 PM; they close the gate. They do have someone at the gatehouse if you have a emergency or will returning late. The park is quiet and a great place to relax. The only noise issue is the occasional train, which is about 3/4 of a mile away. The park also has a Pioneer Village, with a working mill and many log homes and buildings and a covered bridge. They are only open to the public on the 3rd weekend of the month. Restrooms are newer and modern and clean. We plan on returning in the future. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
