This campground was easy to access from the highway and easy to get around in. It is located on a nice small river and we enjoyed a good cookout and music gathering on the weekend. The grass pull-through sites are not level and we had to request a different site because we could not get leveled even with blocks. The friendly owners put us on another site that was a little more level. We only had 30 amps and low voltage did cause us some issues when running one A/C and the water heater. The Wi-Fi was slow and there is no cable or OTA channels available and we had a weak Verizon signal. They were a Passport America campground but dropped out. Even with these issues we enjoyed this park and would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here before on our way east and it continues to be our choice. We had a pull-through so did not need to detach the toad. Nice owners and mostly Canadian campers. Place is for sale so someone has a great opportunity here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had driven by this campground a number of times over the years and thought it looked inviting. We finally found time to stop for one night to check it out, and I hope we have the opportunity to return. Very quiet, clean and well maintained. Sites are right sized. We had a spot backing on to the "babbling brook" and it was so relaxing. It was quiet mid-week but must pick up on weekends because they were advertising all sorts of activities and meals for free or close to it. However, no pool and not much in the way of a playground for kids. The lady in the office seemed unfriendly at first but warmed when I returned to the office later. And... their mobile RV service recommendation, Adirondack Campers, is unbelievable. I had a hydraulic problem. He came over within 20 minutes and had the problem fixed in another 20, and for a more than reasonable rate. Rating is 8 only because recreational facilities are limited. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nightly rate reflects Passport America discount as we paid $35 for 2 nights with full hookup, 30-amp site. Campground is on the banks of the pretty Salmon River. It was pleasant hearing the background rush of the water at night. Although their brochure advertises "Tube, swim or wade in river at your own risk", large signs are posted along the river stating "No swimming, no wading, no tubing". Sites are average size in a large well-mowed grassy field with scattered shade trees. Owners are not very friendly; campground is for sale. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy access, easy parking. Nicely maintained park, lots of lawn. Reasonably level parking on grass. Choice of river's edge (back in) or pull-through (with view and sound of river). Passport America gets you the rate shown (and 30 amp service). Wi-Fi connectivity (using either of the two available routers) was intermittent, unpredictable and frustrating; my three questions before committing with money are: full service? rate per night? good in-rig Wi-Fi? Answer at check-in was "yes" to all three. Cell service is spotty (sometimes Rogers and sometimes AT&T), likely because park is in a bit of "bowl." Would stay here again only after carefully questioning if Wi-Fi problem has been rectified. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Both myself & my parents (2 rigs) stayed here in 2001, 2002, and plan on staying here 2003! The owners (Snyder's) are great people! We always get on the river at the water fall, site 16,17,18,19. They are located about 10 miles South of Big Indian Reservation CASINO, BIG BINGO HALL, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Excelent Campground, very peacefull. Tie down your awning, it gets pretty windy at times! They are expanding too! hopefully they will expand along the river...Very NICE PARK! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
