VERY helpful folks at the registration desk . Although we had no reservation they were able to accommodate us and offered a selection of sites. Interior gravel roads are well kept as are the grassy areas and gravel pads. This park was recommended by friends who live in Chattanooga. They did well. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park for visiting Chattanooga. The park itself is on a Civil War battlefield, and the area has a lot of history to tour. As others have stated, watch out for the GPS directions. I always ask when I call for a reservation and was warned to not turn in at the mobile home park. Evidently there are two sections, an older one with lots of long term stays, and a newer one for overnighters. This is where the 50 amp and cable sites are. But you have the option of being in sites without these amenities at a lower price. Good gravel sites with good drainage. These sites are long and spacious, plenty of room for toad to be hooked up on site. Bathhouse was outstanding. Hookups all good. Did not use laundry, but judging from the bathrooms and pool, I suspect it was very nice. No on-site trash--haul to the dumpster yourself. Our Wi-Fi was excellent, but we were close to the bathhouse, and the antenna was on top of it. Cable was excellent--86 channels; staff told us that the cable company switched to all digital, and they had to upgrade their equipment in the office, which was very expensive, but it was very good. Staff was very helpful, even ran off some maps for me when we wanted to take some side trips on back roads. We definitely would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had been to this park once before, but since then they have changed the way you enter. If you use a GPS, it will take you to their mobile home park which is about 1/4 mile prior to the entrance to the RV park. Just watch and look for the signs and you will be in the right place. All sites are pull-through and full hook ups. Electric and water are good and the sites are all very level gravel. We used this as a one night stopover, but the location of the park would make it a good site to see the area. We would stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a large park convenient to I-75. The first site we were assigned was short, and it was difficult to position our rig due to trees. The staff was friendly and relocated us without a problem. There was heavy rain on our last night there, and the gravel pads drained exceptionally well. The services all worked well and the campground was quiet at night. Due to the rain there were no fires in the fire pits, but their placement might present a problem with the proximity to neighbors' sites. Sites were barely long enough for our rig and truck and were quite close together. There are some wonderful sights to see in the area and the park was convenient to all. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an attractive park with lots of trees and grass. Roads and sites are gravel. Sites are level though close to each other. Staff is friendly. Suitably located to tour the area. WiFi is free, but very slow. We enjoyed our stay here. FYI: there is a stock car race track nearby. Races are held Saturday nights and are very noisy! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were just looking for an overnight stop and were lucky to find this location. The staff is VERY nice, taking the initiative to call us back about late check-in. Even in the middle of the night, the site was easy to pull through and set up. Location was very level and spaced nicely. I will say, for us, the location was a good stop and home base for activities around the city, but seemed to lack a lot of activities. Now we did not investigate this much so we could be mistaken. One OUTSTANDING amenity is the bathroom and shower stall. Clean x10. Maybe we were just seeing them the week they were repainted and cleaned but they were the best we used after being at 6 other RV parks this week. We will be back for a longer stay and look forward to it! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park but, Interior roads very tight and spaces a little small. All facilities are clean and well maintained. Staff courteous and helpful. Lots of trees. Convenient and close to shopping and attractions. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice campground. Clean, staff very friendly. Extra large laundry room. Sites were large, gravel and level. We stayed for five days in a motor home. 2 miles from camping Worley, 3 from Walmart. Very convenient to downtown Chattanooga. If in the area, we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice and clean park, clean pool and restrooms, and laundry area. All pull-through sites. The long term sites are a bit larger than the week-or-less site, but all are very nice. Very friendly and helpful crew and close to just about everything in the area. We stayed there for a week and will come back anytime in the area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is well situated to handle large RV's, with most sites being long pull-throughs. interior roads and the sites were gravel and mostly level. The full hookups included strong 50-amp power and good water pressure. Each site included a nice table and fire pit. Sites were spaced fairly close together, but ours wasn't as bad as described by the previous reviewer and in fact it had a small patio. The free park WiFi worked well, and the Verizon signal to our phones and MiFi unit was strong. The bathrooms were modern and cleaned daily, and the separate shower rooms were also well setup and clean. The laundry room consisted of 8 washers and 8 dryers, plus a nice folding table. The downside was that we found this park to be busy and somewhat noisy, with many big rigs coming in for single-night stays and starting up early the next morning. There was also some noise from jets departing from Chattanooga airport. The park was within 20 minutes of the Lookout Mountain attractions and downtown Chattanooga with its Riverwalk, which we enjoyed very much during our stay. There were also many stores and other services within a 10-minute drive from the park. We would definitely stay here again. The daily rate quoted was based on the park's weekly rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The park is near Interstate 75 but access is along some busy streets and then transition into a residential area with narrow streets. The GPS announced our arrival before we actually reached the park so we had to drive a little farther down the road to reach the park entrance. The interior roads and sites are gravel. The roads and sites were narrow. The pull through sites were not long enough for 40’ RV with the toad attached. The sites were generally level. Not much privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50 AMP), & sewer connections which were generally located about midway along the side of the site. There was an outside table and a fire pit. But the neighbor’s fire pit was very close to our coach. Good that they didn’t have a fire. There are a lot of trees in and around the park. Some trees were close enough to create a problem for slides on the sites with tree encroachment. The park was divided into two sides. One side had the long term residents (seemed to be a lot of them) and the other side was the short stay guests. Some sites offer a view of the southern sky for satellite reception but check with the office when you’re registering to make sure you get one. Park supplied WiFi reception was intermittent. No real designated pet area but there was sufficient grassy areas and along the interior roads. There were no bag dispensers and the only garbage can to dispose of waste in was the centrally located dumpster. For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter. There was an auto race track nearby that created some noise on Saturday night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is perfect for retired people who are sightseeing during the day. It is not a family park. The sites are so small that you can't put your chair next to the fire pit, you have to actually sit in the drive and your neighbor's drive. I saw one large class A that could not open both the slide and the awning without touching tress or neighbors. There was not a single person outside after 9 PM and no children in the park at all. The playground had 1 set of old outdated swings. The bathrooms were the cleanest I had encountered in 5 states of driving. We did not use Wi-Fi or cable so cannot comment on how well it worked. We had to pay extra for each child, which seemed odd considering that they had nothing in the way of amenities for children. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A bit hard to find even with GPS. Nice full service park but not really satellite friendly. The usual small site situation and a bit pricey even with discount. May stay again traveling to and from Florida. Staff great. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for a week, and were impressed with this park. It's very clean, wooded, and right in the city without you knowing it. The people working in the office are friendly and helpful with anything you want to know. Grocery stores are nearby, along with plenty of restaurants. The campground was pretty full most of the time we were there, and we never saw messes anywhere. Showers were kept clean, along with the restrooms. We would definitely go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy access from I-75. Nice, clean park; good roads, level gravel pull-throughs, with adequate room between sites. Individual showers. Friendly, helpful staff. Shade trees and grassy areas to walk dogs. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have stayed here twice. Each was only "on our way" to another location but would consider multi-night stay if we were in the area. Level sights (most pull-through). Clean individual shower rooms. Bathroom very clean. Someone is doing a 1st class job. Store reasonably well stocked. Easy off-on from I-75. Actual location is in Georgia but by only 100 yards. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Well maintained, well run park. Some full time residents in a separate area. The cleanest bath house we have seen in awhile. Sites a bit close, roads are narrow, but navigable ( 40' RV ). This is a stop off point for many people only staying one night. I would say around a 50% turn over every day. I would stay again if in the area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Quick check-in with 4 entrance lanes. Great laundry room. Loved the showers. Sites not too close. Good cable selection. Perfect for exploring all that Chattanooga has to offer: it took us 3 days to explore Lookout Mountain, Aquarium & IMAX 3D theatre, and ride bikes on riverside trail. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent park. Clean well kept. Gravel but level sites. Friendly staff. Excellent laundry and conference area. While in conference room, make sure you watch TV with DVD on Civil War Battles. Moderate drive to Rock City and Ruby Walls but good location We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here for three nights visiting our daughter. We used a Good Sam discount rate, but the park charges $3 additional for each person above 2 campers. We travel full time with 4 kids so there is always an extra charge. The parks is very clean and orderly. The restrooms were clean. We are planning to return for another week in about 1 month. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice, roomy campground close enough to Chattanooga, but far enough away from traffic noise. Nice pool. Camp store has a lot of RV gear, very little food. Would come here again. Large, clean laundry. Eight washers ($1.50), 8 dryers ($.75). We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here overnight. Campground is less than 2 miles off I-75. I found it at midnight so its pretty easy to find. We called ahead knowing we would be late arriving and the man on the phone was very nice and gave me all the information I needed to get there and find my site. It was a nice pull through site with full hook ups, cable, and Wi-Fi. I only stayed overnight so cannot comment on other things about the park. It was very convenient for us and we were able to get a good nights sleep. I would come back if I am ever passing through again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here the last week of August to visit the Chattanooga area. We had a nice level, shady site and the interior roads were good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful to us. We would recommend this RV park to anyone who would like to visit the Chattanooga area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We used this park as a stopping point of I-75 on the way to Florida. It is perfect for just that. Easy off and on the interstate. The pull through sites were long enough to accommodate my 37' TT and 21' four door truck without unhooking for the night. The sites are extremely tight and would not be good if you were doing anything other than just staying the night. Full hookups with cable and WiFi for $34.00 wasn't bad. The campground was very clean. WiFi was great. We would use this place again for a stop over no doubt, but would not make this a destination park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Camped here with family, two other motorhomes. It was a nice park. They did complete paving at the entrance which was nice. That being said though, their sites need some grading. It rained a lot and there was a lot of water pooling near our sites and on the road. I wish they had a dog park. But they had just about everything else. Laundry was ok and pool looked ok, though we didn't use it. We would go back if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Overall a good campground for an overnight stop. Wi-Fi was good at our site. Sites are close together. We had a shady lot so did not try the satellite. Cable provided good channel selection. Rate was Good Sam. Staff at checking was helpful and recommended a good Greek/Italian resturant close by. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice campground with a very pleasant staff. Hookups were pretty good except they'd had a lot of rain and almost all towers, water and cable were surrounded by water, which made hooking up problematic. They were working on the entrance when we were there. We found it easy in and out. Restrooms were very clean and the showers were individual rooms, very clean also. Picnic table at all sites, some placed on concrete slabs. Roads and sites were gravel. The park is situated on grounds which were a civil war battlefield, according to the park literature. That was interesting. Street names are both Union and Confederate officers. Very glad both sides were represented. Many shady sites. Some permanents. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a great park for a RV rally. Our club was here and had a great time. They have a nice clubhouse and the staff were very friendly. They have done some nice improvements to the place since our last visit. They have widen the front entrance and done some paving. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the best parks we've ever stayed at. With the TERRIFIC new entrance it's even easier to get in and out! Very clean restrooms, great pool, very close to everything and anything you want to do in Chattanooga or Northern Georgia. The only thing better than the great facilities is the even better staff. Helpful, friendly, and courteous. The staff is terrific whether you are staying for a night or a week or longer. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the price with my Good Sam discount. It was a fine campground, yes, many regulars and yes, many who stay only one night. We camped here for four nights. It was a great location to visit Stones River Civil War site and other attractions. We met very nice people while at the site, especially at the pool. Narrow sites but pull-through. It actually was formerly a civil war battle field. We would camp there again if just stopping over. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Older park but clean. Lots of permanents. Working on the entrance roads while we were here. Big pot holes. Interior roads also need work. Pot holes and exit row narrow. Nice staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We are into our 5th RV, so we have been RVing for a while. We spent two nights. This RV park has the cleanest restrooms and showers we have ever encountered. And guess what? They are air conditioned!! What a pleasure in 90 degree heat! Overall a very nice RV park. We would recommend. We would suggest that the RV parking sites be graded for a more level and easy setup. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park is used for coming and going, so just keep that in mind. It is clean and the staff is friendly. The pull through sites are long, but a little closer together than what we have been used to. They are gravel sites. We used this campground to tour Civil War sites in the area and that worked well. It is easy on and off the freeway, but not too close for the noise. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice park and we have stayed there many times. The problems we see are they need to address the pot holes and the low lying areas that hold so much water thus mud. The sites are level and all the utilities work well. The staff is very friendly. We'll stay there again when in the area We camped here in a Motorhome.
"Paved" entry road is a joke...full of potholes and speed bumps every 50'. Site had minimal amount of gravel on it, and since it had been raining day before we arrived, ground was saturated. Pull-thru site is so narrow, that once you pull out slides, you are forced to walk on grass to get to your vehicle. Stepping into "grass" lead to mud up over the sides of your shoes. Even after not raining for 3 days, mud was still there. You were forced to walk on wood planks that outlined the gravel site. We will not stay there again until things improve. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice campground with mostly pull-through sites. Park is clean and work is being done to improve grades on sites. Close to amenities. Would recommend for overnight or few days stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We've stayed at this park many times and the people are pleasant and try to be helpful. One BIG warning.....if it rains stay away. Literally every site is flooded to the point you can't get out your door without boots. The roads and sites need work and over the last 6 years nothing has been done. Yes, it is convenient for an overnight stop but 3 years ago I was told they where working on the sites and roads and they are as bad as ever. I'll drive a few mile further and stay at a rest area or a WalMart before we stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Staff could not have been any more pleasant. Overall a very good experience. Only negatives were roads and sites could use new layer of gravel and in site #94, I barely had room to get my truck in front of camper and off road but then couldn't reach sewer pipe with 20' of hose. Campground close to any/everything needed. Good place to stay for seeing sights but not exactly a "back-to-nature" kinda place. Would definitely stay again if in area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
It looks like an old KOA. That means you get gravel sites, tight roads, etc. It is off a narrow two lane road but had no trouble on the road. The trouble was the roads in the park. I think this place has new owners. Either way, whoever owns this should spend a few bucks and buy some gravel to fill in some large holes. Probably will not be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is very convenient as a place to stay to see the sites in Chattanooga. Very clean, friendly, and quiet. We stayed 2 nights over Thanksgiving weekend to go to Rock City, Ruby Falls, and ride the Incline RR. Our truck broke down, had to leave it at Mountain View Ford, and were able to leave our camper for a week also while repairs done so ended up paying for an extra week, but were refunded for days not used. Want to definitely come back & finish up the activities we had planned. Would highly recommend this campground as a place for an overnight stay or several days to see all there is to see in Chattanooga. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Campground actually located in Rossville, GA next to a famous Civil War battleground. Access to park is on two lane road with good entrance. The park roads are gravel and RV lanes access are a little tight. Escorted to site. Concrete pad on gravel. Friendly park. Easy access to historic sites and restaurants in Chattanooga. Park a little pricey, but location to Chattanooga is a plus. We camped here in a Motorhome.
According to the park literature a Civil War battle was fought where the park is located; there is a monument to the 84th Indiana Volunteers to commemorate the fact. History aside, a beautiful setting with many large trees that didn't interfere with our satellite reception. Major cable service is also provided. Sites are gravel and level. Interior roads between the rows of sites are tight. Sites in the north half of the park appear to be long term residents. There are mens and ladies restrooms that are spotless. There are 6 individual showers; roomy, good pressure, and lots of hot water. The campground office has a good selection of RV supplies, cold drinks, and ice cream. If you visit here in the fall consider asking for a site that isn't shaded by an oak tree, otherwise you will be pelted with falling acorns. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very efficient and friendly check-in process. Large park that is well-maintained. Long-term residents in one section of park but it is clean and maintained. Large, level pull-through sites. Very good cable TV and great Wi-Fi reception at site. Satellite TV and cell service were no problem. Plenty of room to walk your pet. Bathhouses were very clean. Showers were cleaned regularly with bleach. The only negative is the drag strip across the road. We were here on Sunday afternoon and the drag strip was quite noisy but it ended about 6 pm. Overall, great park for the price. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a great park with wide, level, pull-through sites. Power and water pressure was good. Plenty of cable channels, and Wi-Fi was strong. Nice clean bathrooms. Convenient for civil war touring. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
For a discounted rate of $37 a night, this park was very disappointing. The best feature of this park was the strong wi fi. The problems include pot holes in the roads, mud, and small width sites. We were assigned a pull through site with a sewer hookup that was so far back, the car had to be unhooked anyway. With a tree at the front of our site, it was impossible to be hooked up and make the turn when we left. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Overall a very nice campground! Staff is very friendly. Store is well stocked with necessities. Sites are somewhat narrow, but there is room to put out your slides and awning, and they accommodate large RV's well. Can be a bit muddy after a rain. Pool was closed for the season. The staff provided great maps of the area as well as directions to the attractions and places to park. Very quiet and restful place to get away to. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very well organized and well run. Sites are average in size, level, but a little dusty/muddy. Just enough trees and landscaping. Drag strip across the street can be noisy on weekends, but stops at dark. Super friendly, knowledgable staff. Civil War monument on the grounds! Best choice we have seen in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Excellent campground! Every employee we dealt with was friendly, caring, and interested in us having a great stay. The bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean and functional. Excellent places to walk our dogs and a big open grassy area to play with them. Sites are level, all pull through sites and ours was shady. Will gladly stay there again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Kind of high priced for a mediocre CG. Cashier was friendly and provided good directions to our site. Sites were level but in need of gravel. Nice grassy area for walking the dogs though rules say not to. First time in the Chattanooga area so don't know if there are more economical CG. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the nicest rv park in the Chattanooga area, long sites for coaches or large fifth wheels. Very convenient to I-75, shopping (Camping World across interstate )and dining. Good cable tv, great WiFi. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great value and a nice park. I would stay here again and would recommend. Big rig friendly. Be sure to note to turn into the correct driveway. Gravel pads and some have concrete patios. Convenient to I-75 for an over nighter or extended stays if needed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is based on weekly rate. Well maintained park. Long level pull thrus. Sites and interior roads are gravel. Good spacing between spaces. Wi-Fi is free and works great. Many trees provide shade but does not seem to impact big rigs getting around. The roads are a little narrow so turns with a big rig can be tight. Close to I-75 so access to all the sites is easy. Camping world is a couple of miles away. Long term residents are in a separate area in the park. You do get some airplane noise as the flight path for the local airport is overhead. Great value and a nice park, I would stay here again and would recommend. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I have stayed at this campground several times in the last few years. Always had a great experience. Staff is friendly & campsites are spacious. Pull through sites are long enough for my truck and travel trailer without any part of them sticking out in the roads. The campground is built on the old civil war battlefield. Wi-fi worked well. The campground manager referred me to this site. They value the reviews & try to make improvements based on what their customers suggest. This campground will be my choice when staying in the Chattanooga area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here three nights over the Labor Day Weekend so the park was full. Despite this, noise levels were kept low, the park was kept clean and the staff was extremely helpful. My kids loved the salt water swimming pool and we visited it each day. The bathhouse is brand new, and kept in a very clean condition. Although this park is located adjacent to the interstate we could hear no interstate noise from our site. However, there was a drag strip located several miles away which entertained drag races until 2:00 a.m. on Saturday night. This park would have received a 9 rating had the sites been a bit larger. A slide from the Motorcoach in the site adjacent to us obstructed our fire pit so we could not build a fire. Warmer weather negated the effects of this deficiency. Overall a great park with a friendly staff. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park. Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the Chattanooga area with 4 teenagers. Very clean baths and showers. Convenient to the interstate and local attractions. Only negative was that the sites are close together with only a thin band of grass between sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice campground for overnight stay while traveling through Chattanooga or a couple of days while seeing the local sites. We stayed here two nights while visiting friends in the area. Campground host was very nice, offering information on some of the local things to see while in the area. The bathhouse and restroom facilities were very clean and had that new look. Wi-Fi was good but would keep dropping signal often. Sites had cable TV and full hook ups. Unfortunately the two nights we were here it rained both days. The gravel roads through the campground and sites needed more gravel and water would stand in pools. The drainage was poor and it looked like small ponds all over the place. Waded in ankle deep water to get from our camper to the truck. Many of the sites were a little close together. Glad the camper next to me didn’t want to use his fire pit that was three feet from my living room slide. Sites a little to close for me. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is a city park with narrow, pull-thru campsites that do not have much grass. The trees have been heavily pruned to accommodate slides. If you are an arborist, you will not like the way they have pruned the trees. They do not allow dogs that are Pit Bull, Rottweiler or Chow and claim that this is because of a county ordinance. The party room with kitchen is nice for club meetings. Dollar General is across the street. Down the street is a great restaurant called Portofino's (Greek and Italian food) and the I-75 indoor flea market. When you look at a map, this campground is actually located in Rossville, Georgia. It is easy to miss the first entrance driveway, so slow down when you see the sign for Holiday Trav-L-Park. The entrance and the sign are on the right side. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our RV Club stayed here and really enjoyed it. The park host were very nice. The clubhouse was clean and cool. We were close to all the great things Chattanooga had to offer. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice campground located southeast of Chattanooga, about 1/4 mile into Georgia. Very convenient to all of the sights of Chattanooga; 15 minutes or less drive. Also, very convenient to I-75, which leads to a fairly regular turnover of sites. We used this campground as a base to sightsee. The staff was very helpful in recommending things to do and see. The battlefield just south was very interesting, and Ruby Falls and Rock City are a must. The packet they gave us when we checked in was very useful. It even included recommended directions for cars vs. big rigs, as the approaching roads to the campground are quite narrow and curvy. The campground has a small but well stocked store with reasonable prices. There is also acres of open space for dog walking and riding bikes. I would camp here again if visiting Chattanooga. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great customer service and very clean bathrooms, showers, laundry room, and swimming pool. Good location to take in everything Chattanooga has to offer. Lots aren't huge, but they are decent size with most many having trees for shade. Only thing I see that could be better are filling in a few potholes near the entry. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We paid the Good Sam rate. This is a clean, well landscaped campground with large, mostly pull-through sites. It is on a Civil War battlefield. The park is noticeably quiet, with an absence of road noise. The office staff are friendly and helpful, providing several handouts and directions to local attractions, services, and shopping. It is a fine, convenient location to base camp while enjoying the Chattanooga area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very friendly service and sincere desire to please. I had a maintenance problem with my landing gear, and they had brochures for local RV repair services. I had to stay an extra night, and they were very accommodating. Will make it a point to stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We always stay at this park when in the area. It's clean, well managed, and close to the city. Sites are large and many are shaded but we still got satellite reception. The pool is great, bathrooms and showers very clean. There are many tourist attractions, restaurants, malls in the area. Easy access off I-75 and close to the Georgia border. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an awesome campground. It has the best pool with a deep end for cannonballs and diving! Nice staff. Very tidy and clean. Big rig friendly. Great place for kids to stay too. Lots of shade trees. If you are visiting the Chattanooga area this would be the place to stay. Would get a 10 ranking but is pretty pricey with a 3 night stay running me $120 after tax. Will stay here again for sure! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We planned on staying two nights and extended to two weeks. It is extremely clean, easy in and out, very Big Rig friendly. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The park is close to many attractions and shopping. The mix of seniors and families with young children is of no inconvenience to anyone. This is on my top ten RV Resorts to stay at and we will return here whenever we can. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Check-in staff excellent. Sites long and level gravel, but very close together. Near airport so some noise but minimal. Hooks ups very good. Showers good. Stayed 2 nights. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The expectations of previous reviews were very clean. Most of the sites are long pull throughs. Most sites have two sewer hookups so that you willdon't have to use extensions. The power and water are located at the rear.We did not get assistance to escort us to the site, but the service at the deak was very good. They have a very well stocked store with food and household items. They have a large assortment of RV parts. The rate reflects a $25 Good Sam coupon and a Sam Club discount. Normal price is $37.50 We will besure to stop here if we come this way again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Stayed here for four nights. The interior roads and sites are gravel-dirt but fairly level. The Wi-Fi was strong and the cable selection was good. At check-in the staff was helpful. Most sites have trees around them but there are quite a few sites where you can get satellite coverage. The pool look inviting but did not use it. Would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Arrived after the office was closed. Excellent set up for late arrivals, choose a pull through site as we were in a motor home with a tow vehicle. Everything was great until I went to plug in. Utilities were set up close to the road, ideal for a fifth wheel, or trailer. Needed to unhitch tow. On departure explained to host that it would be nice if they offered a selection of different pull through sites, he informed me that I should have called in advance. Park was clean, cable and Wi-Fi great, would stay again, but will call first! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was an overnighter for us and for that I give it full marks. It is convenient to I-75. The registration was fast and very efficient. The washrooms were spotless. On the downside, the sites were incredibly small. A good one night park but that is all we could see it for. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Despite earlier reviews, access into park is simple. The park has lots of signs to follow. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Interior roads are paved and gravel. Sites are gravel. Mix of shaded and open sites. Sites are long, but a little narrow. If it rains avoid sites 137 to 141 since all but the pad become muddy and flooded. There is a large open area to walk dogs (no fenced run). Half the park is long term, but the sites are very neat. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice sites, clean, well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had such an enjoyable stay the first week, we extended another week, and have now made reservations for the fall. The restroom and showers were "extremely clean and well maintained". Would and will definitely go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great stay here for the most part. We were a little annoyed by the near by racetrack. They were racing well after 11:00 pm. That was a little strange. Our site was level and the campground is beautiful with huge full trees and lovely sites with room between them. A very large campground and we will be returning again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have only the best reviews of this park. It was the cleanest, best kept park we have been to in many states! The staff was very helpful with very clear directions to various attractions and stores. Their prices are reasonable and excellent value for the accommodations. I wish they operated in Nashville! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I have camped at many parks in my time, but this one is simply one of the best. Wonderfully laid out park with super easy access and level grades. The Wi-Fi was superior the whole time and the staff was wonderful. Quiet and peaceful at night (although you will hear the local drag strip on Saturday nights. Which I though was rather cool. A Civil War regiment actually stayed here in 1863 and there is a historical marker to prove that. Overall opinion is SUPERIOR. Stay here if in the Chattanooga area are you won't be sorry. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Big rigs will be satisfied with sites 122-142 which are adequate, and far enough from the front that road noise is not a problem, although there were a few loud planes. Otherwise, the office staff was friendly and helpful. The laundry facility was large and well equipped. Showers were individual, clean and large, with plenty of hot water. Directions could be a little clearer. After exiting I-75, Mack Smith road is at first light, and turning left. We missed it the first time. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park. Very weird entrance, with a sharp right turn followed by a left turn, and another sharp right. Sites are long but not very wide. Roads are also narrow, with speed bumps. All in all "doable" for a big rig, but NOT friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The sites was fairly level but the trees stopped satellite service. When we arrived the electric breaker kept popping. They wanted to move us to another site. No way, why should we be inconvenience when all they needed to do was change the breaker. At first they wanted to blame it on our coach, but we had just left the service area of the motor coach and knew it was not us, so they did finally change the breaker and guess what? It worked great the rest of the three nights we were here. It was easy in/easy out and most of the workers were nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for 8 nights and were very happy with the facilities, but very unhappy with the hospitality of the staff. Upon check-in, for an 8 day stay, we were told we could not be accommodated for a site closer to our relatives cabin who were checking in on Wednesday. "We are booked for the holiday weekend." The site we asked to move to, remained empty until Friday, seven days later! A site is a site, why not accommodate a camper who is staying for 8 nights as opposed to a camper who is staying 3 nights? On day 5, a camper checking in to the site across from ours hit my truck with the rear end of his trailer. He tried to hide the incident by removing the damaged piece of his camper and not mentioning the incident to anyone. Upon discovery, we questioned the front desk to speak with a manager and the manager was rude and not interested in what happened and only offered to call the police. Even though the site is nostalgic and laden with Civil War history, clean and well groomed; my family and I will not stay here again. I will also make sure that I tell everyone I camp with to steer clear of the rude camp-staff employed by the "Best Holiday Trav-L-Park Chattanooga". I would expect this type of treatment from campsites in the north, but not in a true southern gem such as Chattanooga! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stopped here for a quick overnight stop. We found our site to be level, with gravel and grass. Also had a picnic table, a cement patio and a fire ring as well. Water pressure and electric was very good and the cable TV was excellent. We had plenty of room for our motorhome and toad. Hook-ups were right were they should be for easy access and connection. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. At the previous poster stated, make sure you follow the signs not your GPS. We will camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground served as our base to visit Chattanooga area. We had a pull through site. Glad we disconnected at check in, as our site was not long enough for RV plus toad. We had all the campground electrical boxes in our "front yard." We could not even extend our awning, other sites were much better. The hookups are located near the back of the site. Water/electric/sewer all good however, our cable TV did not work. The staff called the cable company, by that afternoon we had cable. The Wi-Fi was terrible, useless. GPS tip: it will bring you to a mobile park, keep going. The campground is a bit further down the road. There is good signage. We would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We liked this park. It was kind of a bonus that it was located on a civil war battlefield. The half of the park we stayed in was great. Satellite reception, level spots. We did loose power one night for about 4 hours which was the ptis since it was hot but they had someone out immediately and it was fixed asap. I'm not so sure about the other half of the park. It appeared it was mostly permanent and not as nice but don't quote us on this since we didn't stay there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park, close to everything you want to do in Chattanooga. Full hookups, lots of trees, level gravel spaces. The people in the office are very helpful. The only problem I had was with the Wi-Fi. It was hit and miss at best. Sometimes I would have a strong signal but no internet. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy access west off I-75. Interior roads and sites are gravel with amble grass in between. Office staff was very friendly and quick to help. Shade on most sites with some more than others. No problem with Sat TV reception from our site. 4 bars on Verizon Wireless at our site. Wi-Fi was pretty good, but sometimes hard to get connected to. Visited nearby Cloudland Canyon State Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed at this park two years ago and had a much nicer site than on this visit. We had to relocated from the assigned site because our motorhome did not align with the patio and step out area. The site was also flooded due to heavy rains. The staff allowed us to relocate to a better space which was also further away from a large party that was taking place a few spaces down. Our neighbor had to use a picnic table to get into his 5th wheel over the water and we had a difficult time finding a grass area above water to walk our dogs. The owner really needs to work on fill and drainage areas. There is a hard dip where the exit driveway connects to the road when you leave. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Ours was a long, gravel pull through with full hookups, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi at the site. We also had a picnic table and fire ring. The site was wide enough for our 3 slides. The campground is conveniently located on I-75 south of Chattanooga and is close to all of the Chattanooga attractions. There is a nice laundry room and pool. We did not use the bath house so I can't comment on that. The campground is very nicely maintained. The staff was very helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A nice park. Sites were a nice size which made it comfortable sitting outside. The hosts were friendly. The park was in good stop for site seeing. Spots were level and were pull through. We would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
After prematurely leaving another place, we desperately looked for another Chattanooga Campground. This campground's staff was extremely helpful and nice. To say this campground's bathhouses were clean would be an understatement. They were cleaner than my house. My children loved the pool, and the laundromat was great. The only thing that is negative is the lack of shade and not very big sites. What can I expect??? It is right in the middle of town. If you forgot anything, there is a Dollar General store across the street. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice Park, Not really in Tennessee, but darn close, actually in Georgia. But still convenient to Chattanooga. Nice Park layout with the overnights and short term visitors separate from the long term guests. All pull throughs! all at an angle so that it makes you feel like your not parked right next to another coach. And that helped a lot since the spacing is a little on the tight side. At their $35.00 a night it overpriced in my book but compared to the others its still a good choice. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a super cute campground. The pool is so nice, the sites are level gravel, the laundry and showers are really nice and clean. There is a great RV store on the grounds and the campground staff/owners are top notch. We will stay again, it is great for kids. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great staff and campgrounds! We needed a quick overnight stop and the staff was so accommodating. They were kind to recommend restaurants in the area, they even called others for additional advice. We needed an extension cord and the staff let us use theirs; so trusting! Bathrooms were clean and cold (we liked it that way). It was in a nice location! Actually in Rossville, Georgia. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Nice place to stay for a few days and visit Ruby Falls, The incline, Rock City, and Downtown Chattanooga. The only negative I would give is there is a major ant problem, but its not the campgrounds fault. Just bring some spray and traps and you will be fine. There is a brand new Dollar General across the street and a Pepperidge Farm outlet within walking to both. We will stay again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Family friendly campground with very clean restrooms and showers. The individual shower rooms are great. The pool and some facilities are a little old and outdated but are still fully functional. The pads are gravel and not paved, but they are wide enough for my slide. Picnic tables, cable, power, water, and sewer at all sites. Staff at check in very friendly. I will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is one of the nicest commercial campgrounds we've seen yet. It is attractive and clean with friendly office staff and a small store. The sites are level, mostly pull-through, and well maintained. We came here due to no power at home for 5 days due to storms. The office put us in a site where the WiFi signal would be strong which we really appreciated. The cable channel selection is large. There are individual shower rooms with a dry dressing area in each room. The showers were spacious, had a seat built in, and had excellent water pressure. There appears to be a section of long-term campers that are well kept and are in a separate area from the short term sites. Cabins and tent spaces are available as is propane. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The only reason I am giving this park an 8 instead of a 9 is because the voltage was low. I have a digital display in my trailer. Right after we pulled in, and the only thing running was the hotwater heater, the voltage was reading 110VAC. I had to turn the hotwater heater to gas before I could turn on the A/C. Maybe because everybody was running the A/C because it was unusually hot? I never saw my digital display higher than 113VAC during our stay. It's a nice RV park with long level sites and full hookups. Restrooms, showers, and laundry are really nice and I would rate those a 10. Well stocked camp store as well. This is the second time we have stayed at this RV park and we most probably will be back here in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a nice stop as a base to explore Chattanooga. Large laundry room which was nice to find. Wireless is pretty much useless-very inconsistent even at the office, which is why I graded it lower than I may have otherwise. Bathrooms were clean-separate showers were large and well set up. We enjoyed the peaceful setting. We would return to this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park was very clean. My wife said it was the cleanest bath rooms outside of Disney. Fairly easy access off the main highway. Not really a destination stay, but a great place to overnight, or to base camp at and explore the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We were delighted with this campground. Had a site along the woods in the back that was quiet, level and large. Shower rooms were individual and spotless. Staff was very friendly and helpful with getting around the area. Had several handouts with local maps and attractions and loaner tapes for the battlefield. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was our second visit and after 25 different parks this year it is one of our favorites. Good size pull through sites. Easy in and out. Clean, quiet. Management is very friendly and conscientious about the services they provide. Great for walking. When you come you'll go a mile or two past where GPS takes you but just follow the signs. This will become a routine stop for us and we're liking Chattanooga. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park. Well-maintained and convenient to Chattanooga attractions. Good Wi-Fi and cable. Clean restrooms and private shower rooms. Picnic table and concrete patio. Site fairly level. There was an ungodly racket from the nearby drag strip (I think it was called Brainerd Drag Park) that lasted until after 11:00 p.m. the first night and about 10:30 the next night. I don't think they have races every weekend, though, so maybe we were just unlucky. We would come back, but only if the drag strip wasn't operating that weekend. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Lovely park and great owners/staff. Adequate room between very LARGE graveled pads. Well lighted at night. Park is patrolled daily by employees for dirty fire pits, broken branches, etc. Laundry room is SPOTLESS, SPACIOUS and has five or six washers and as many dryers. Nice clean pool. We would have given the park a "10" if the store coolers had been well stocked. As it is there are plenty of RV supplies! If ever again in the area we would definitely make this a stop! We stayed for three weeks and three days - their policy is stay 6 days and get the 7th free and they did give us our Good Sam discount for the three extra days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good location for sightseeing in the area and short drive to downtown Chattanooga. Good level, gravel pull through sites. Nice area for walking the dog. Good Verizon cell and internet connection. Would definitely say here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park but the sites are a bit close together. Was a family reunion of several campers in the row behind us with no respect for quiet time. Other than that, a nice place We camped here in a Motorhome.
Love returning here. Turn onto Mack Smith Road from Ringold Road looks tight, but we made it easily in a 40' and tow. Mack Smith Road widens out about four blocks from turn and the park is well signed. Great people, camp store, sites, pool, shade, and location. Very close to Camping World and Baskin Robbins: what more did you want? We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is really nice campground that if we are the area again we will use. The sites are level. The ONLY issue we had was the site we had was a bit short for the 5th wheel and the truck to be easily parked. Not a huge issue as we made them fit. I'm being picky. Nice pool and camp store. GPS coordinates and Mapquest don't get you to the campground. Close, but. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Wi-fi was broken, but that happens. Sites were tight, but manageable, even with a 44 foot rig towing a truck. Clean as a whistle and friendly staff. Half of the park seems to be seasonals, but thankfully they segregate them. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great campground. I have three dogs, and no problems about bringing them. The WiFi works well, the office staff was nice. I've stayed here before and I will again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I selected this park because of good reviews, and it is clean, orderly, and an acceptable overnight stop. If you travel with a dog, however, take note that their restrictions are extensive, No "pins," (they meant "pens" I am sure), no leashes longer than 6', no staking pets outdoors, no walking pets in empty campsites (even though you will clean up after the pet), and of course no pets in buildings, which is expected. Additionally, in the office you will see a list of dog breeds not permitted at all, including those with bad reputations such as dobermans, pit bulls, and rotties. If you bring a legal pup, the only way she can relax outdoors at your campground is at the end of a leash you are holding. I felt like we both were tethered, especially when I had purchased a nice pen that had to remain in the car during my stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This campground is very shaded and off the main street. The only reason I gave it an 8 was because the pads are gravel and it was very noisy due to a motorcycle rally in the area. We will return just at a different time of year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
You pay more than state parks and COE campgrounds, but this place is a very good park. It's easy to get to, the sites are level, easy to get into and the park roads are very easy to negotiate. The office staff is very helpful and friendly. Add to this, good Wi-Fi and cable TV, and you've got a good place to stay and check out all that Chattanooga has to offer. I would recommend this place to anyone and will use it again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice campground with helpful office staff. This was our first trip with our new camper and everyone was very helpful. The campground was in great shape and not very busy this weekend. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed overnight at this campground while enroute to the beach. The campground was clean, well maintained, and quiet. The only noise that could be heard was from a race track or drag strip that is on the other side of the interstate, but we were far enough away that it was not an irritant. There was a nice pool behind the office, but we did not try it since there were so many kids playing in it. The campground was easy to locate and it is a fairly quick on/off the interstate. The staff was friendly and made check in easy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A really nice campground. The interior roads and sites are gravel and dirt but well kept. Some sites do have a small patio. WiFi signal was good. Some sites are close together. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice clean park. The office people were very friendly. Be careful entering the park because there is a large tree on the right side that could damage your RV. Gravel sites and roads. Good WI-FI. Long pull-through sites. Rate is Escapees rate. At night it got smokey. I never understood why people want to build fires when it is over 90 degrees outside. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
CG overall is okay. Roads are just a tad tight in/out. Rate is a weekly rate. Worst thing about it: the SMUDGE POTS. CG's should just NOT allow smudge pots. It is 85 degrees and the rig behind me has a fire, actually a "smoke," going with the wind directly on my rig. Will NEVER understand why folks do that, especially in a closely packed campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate reflects combination of 30amp site, weekly rate and Escapees discount. One of the nicest places we've stayed. As far as noise, depending on which way the wind blows there is some airplane sound. As far as mud after the rain, there is some, but they were also applying gravel and grading the last couple of days we were here. Friendly, convenient, and just a couple miles from Camping World! We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good location, level sites, interior roads are OK. Good place to stay while seeing Chattanooga, it is convenient to all locations. We stayed 4 nights. Unfortunately, we did have some things go missing from our unlocked car one night. Staff stated that there has been some difficulty with that. They offered to call the police for us, it was not worth a police report. We would stay here again, but we would make sure everything is locked up tight! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is fine for a short stay. It rained a lot while we were there and water was standing, that part was terrible. The people in the office are nice enough. They left our packet outside so we could do a late night check in. Really don't like the looks of the long-term section, but I guess you find that at a lot of campgrounds these days. At least they are segregated from the campers. We have stayed here before and would stay there again as we pass through Chattanooga occasionally. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We almost didn't stay here because of the review that said this park is muddy was after a major down pour. The place is great. No hiway traffic, planes, or trains. Nice grassy open area, a pool, and nice people. We would go again, love Chatanooga. Roads are gravel. Showers really nice. They are separate rooms that lock and very big. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Friendly employee at check-in. All pull through sites. Sites are in need of regravel and TLC attention. Standing water and mud between all sites after a rain storm. Very poor drainage. On Saturday morning at 8am, a surly CG employee presented himself to our RV group smoking a cigarette looking for one of our group's late check-in from the night before. Good location, level sites, interior roads are ok. Good place to stay while seeing Chattanooga. No place you'd want to stay long term for the price of admission. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The Park is close to the interstate and convenient for an overnight stop. We were there in Feb. and the site was Muddy. Would not recommend staying if it has rained recently. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV park was very close to the interstate making access to and from it very convenient. There were numerous restaurants very close to the park as well and of course Chattanooga has lots of tourist attractions that are well worth seeing (Rock City, Ruby Falls, The Incline, etc) The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean...the cleanest I have ever seen and there were plenty of them for all. There was a full store at the park for groceries or RV accessories. Interestingly enough there was a Camping World just down the road a bit. The RV park also sold propane if you needed refills. Each site offered cable, water, electric and a dump station right on the site and free Wi-Fi internet access. The pads were rock and seemed fairly level. There were no trees for shade on 90% of the spots and the spots themselves were very close together (~10ft). This was not the type of campground where there were lots of activities in the park to do like you might find at a state park. The children playground, while cute, was not as up to date as we have seen else where. The two negatives we didn't like were that about 1-2 miles away there is a drag strip and the dragsters could be heard roaring up and down the strip to all hours of the night. The property also seemed to be in the flight path of the local airport, so planes were constantly overhead as well. Overall a nice campground minus the dragsters. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I agree with the other posts: bathrooms and showers were clean, Wi-Fi worked sort of OK, spaces were level crushed gravel and fairly close together. It is the closest park to Chattanooga, so there is some background city noises. The post complaining about this park in wet weather was accurate too. We camped here a week and it rained the second to last day. the ground is hard clay with zero drainage. The water just lays there. On the day we left, I backed our diesel pusher out of the park to minimize driving through the muck. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Well run park with friendly staff. Wi-Fi was spotty. Park was crowded with large rigs. This campground is in Rossville, GA, not in Chattanooga, TN. Restrooms were VERY clean and so were the individual showers. Lack of drainage made park very damp and muddy. Pads were of crushed rock, but fairly level. Airport, nearby train switching yard, and I-75 made for noisy nights. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park was very clean and organized. Sites were close, but still able to get in/out easily. Appears one-half of park is seasonal sites; very well maintained. Internet worked well. Office staff was pleasant and accommodating. Grocery shopping nearby. Even if you are only staying one evening, there is nearby sightseeing. Easily accessible from I-75. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Big commercial campground. Clean and well run by friendly people. Would have given it a higher rating but when we were there they were struggling to get the cable TV working and the wi-fi was extremely slow. Mostly pull through sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is a nice campground, but most sites were very flooded when we arrived, and were worse after an all-night rain storm went through the area. There is no drainage at any sites, so water was standing approximately 2 to 5 inches deep everywhere! The roads were uneven, so deep pools formed, making it impossible to take walks through the park. I would recommend this park again, but only during dry weather. The staff are not very friendly, but very efficient. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a quiet, nicely maintained park right off Hwy. 75, with easy access. Nice laundry and shower facilities. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Camping World nearby. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We attended a motor home rally at this park just after they had lots of rain in Chattanooga. The sites do not drain well and were therefore muddy. The interior roads are gravel and were muddy with water standing in several areas. Park crews were trying to grade roads, but more rain just made it worst. Due to trees, some sites can be a challenge for big rigs. Few sites can accommodate roof top satellite reception, however, cable is free. There are three entrance roads into the park. Do not take the center entrance. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an outstanding park. We spent 2 nights here. It's very easy to access and very close to Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls and Rock City. The staff was wonderful and the new bath house extremely clean. We will make this our stopover point if we are in the area again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The grounds here are nice, with clean level sites, though somewhat small. Shade trees are not really available for motorhomes, those sites are pretty much in the sun field and the setting sun is directly into the windshield. The WiFi is basically non-existent, it is very slow, slower than what I remember dial-up speed to be. It really isn't worth the money. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at in 10 years of using our Travel Trailer in the U.S. Well maintained and thought out with camper in mind. Wi-Fi worked perfectly on our stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Showers were very clean and large, with a nice seat in the shower. The laundry area was very clean and conveniently located right next to the pool. Also had the lowest prices we've seen in awhile! The campground was conveniently located off the freeway, yet very quiet and private. Lots of shade trees. Nice pool and clubhouse. Very well maintained. I would highly recommend this campground and am looking forward to a return visit! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We would have rated this campground a 10 if not for the sites being closer together than we prefer. The staff was very nice and friendly. The showers and restrooms were very clean. The grounds were well kept. A very good place to stay and take in the many things to do around Chattanooga. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
What a great campground! It is close to the Interstate, easy to get into with a big rig towing a car, level sites, well-kept, clean grounds, and impressively immaculate bathrooms. The only problem was patchy Wi-Fi. It was frustrating at times. They were aware of it and were working with Wi-Fi provider to improve service. The office staff was knowledgeable and very helpful with information in area. We would definitely stay here again. Hint~Garmin directions are a bit off. Follow the campground's directions. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is located on the site of an actual Civil War battlefield. That was pretty cool. It's a VERY nice campground. Clean and well-maintained. The sites are all pull through, with water, electric, sewer and cable. The sites are a little on the narrow side. I don't know if we would have been able to deploy our awning fully or not, but since we were just overnighting, we didn't even try. Most other campers had their awning out, so I guess we could have if I had parked the camper a little closer to the hookups. We didn't use the bath house, but I did look at them so that I could review them. They were FANTASTIC! The showers are some of the nicest I've ever seen at a campground. Each one has it's own room, with a chair and a peephole. The water pressure was great, the cable was crystal clear and the hookups were located so that I was easily able to hook everything up. The playground was a nice place for the kids to go while we unhooked and hooked back up the next morning. There's lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and the campground has a surprisingly nice selection of RV items available in the camp store. Highly recommend this great campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We used this campground as a vacation base while visiting the Chattanooga area. There are two negatives to this campground, the size of the sites and the very small playground. The campground is almost all pull through sites that are very narrow and are not overly long (I couldn't fit my 36 foot trailer and my crew cab pickup on the site without backing the truck in at an angle next to the trailer). The location of the sewer hookup on the site required 15 feet of sewer hose to hook up. Campground interior roads and sites are gravelled and are well designed for RV access. The pool was clean and warm. The comfort station is modern with tile floors and walls and is very clean. Campground staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is the first time I’ve given a campground a 10! This fantastic campground is in a country setting. The staff is friendly and helpful, the Wi-Fi was fast and I can’t say enough about the bathrooms and general layout of the campground. The office has a well stocked store with many RV supplies. Next to the office is a club house/meeting room with a small kitchen. Off this room are restrooms and showers that also connect to the pool. It’s always nice to have restrooms and showers by the pool. The air-conditioned laundry room is also by the pool and easily twice the size of most campgrounds! Although the restrooms and showers by the pool and front office are updated, the gem of this campground is the newest restroom and shower facilities located in the center of the campground. These clean new showers are the most private secure ones we have every encountered. Each stall is a separate room with a deadbolt lock. A chair is provided in the dressing area and the shower also contains a built-in seat. A peep hole is on the door so you can see who is outside if someone is knocking on your door. I felt very safe and secure! You can tell the owners are campers themselves! If in the area we would definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here two nights on our way to the mid-west. It is located conveniently off I-75. It has good crushed stone interior roads and well marked camp sites each with a light by the utility hookups. It also has free Wi-Fi with a very strong signal which is very important to us. The cable TV brought in most watched stations and worked fine. The restrooms and bath house is outstanding and probably the best I have ever seen. They did not cut any corners when they designed the restrooms. They even have real paper towels with the new motion sensors. The stools are even the bigger type for 220 pound men like me. Those other campgrounds have stools built for small kids. That too is important to me. The office has ticket sales for 3 major attractions at a discount and I recommend they be purchased at a cost of $41.00. The owners deserve to be proud of this park. I would stay in this park again. This park should be considered the gold standard of parks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The staff was very friendly & helpful. All the sites are gravel sometimes creating some dust. The internet service and cable were great. The sites were large enough to handle big rigs, which I was in 45'. We will certainly return in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Cable TV was excellent as was WI-FI. Our pull through site was long and a decent width. The only issue was the water drainage. The sites are surrounded by what looks to be railroad ties and because it had rained so hard the water filled up in this area where the fire ring and picnic table are and had no place to drain off. We would certainly stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Great weekend. The park was clean and very friendly. Two groups were meeting there and with the size, and location of the groups, things went very well. Location is easy to get to and the things that you can do around Chattanooga, you are only limited by time. I highly recommed this CG. The site are a little close but not enough to cause any problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great CG! The bath house was always clean we noticed that the fake plant in the restrooms didn't even have dust on them nor dust in the vent louvers. The shower rooms were clean and are in a very convenient arrangement. The sites are wide enough for awnings and then some extra space. There is not enough space for a game of corn hole but enough to not feel crowded. All roads were level and spot fixed after the heavy rain, on the same day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were surprised that the highway traffic noise didn't make it to the campground. We will definitely be staying here again. We stayed a week in a pop-up. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Great campground! We were very pleasantly surprised by this location. We checked in after hours, and the process was very simple to register. Be forewarned, however, this is a popular park. The entire park is very level, so parking and leveling was no trouble. Hookups are in the right position, and the spaces are surprisingly spacious (we stayed in a 30 amp spot). Most sites are pullthrough, but they have a few back-in sites if you choose. The restrooms and shower building are fantastic. Frankly, I think the shower/restroom building rivals those at Ft. Wilderness Resort at Disney World--clean and modern. We are looking for activities in the Chattanooga area simply because we want to stay at this park again. If you want a clean, relaxing stay, do yourself a favor and camp here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice campground on the outskirts of Chattanooga, a short drive from the battlefield. The bathrooms are warm and clean, same with the showers, and there are plenty of them. Nice shaded sites with a decent amount of space between them. Fast Wi-Fi. Quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Just so everyone knows - the previous poster who complained about the rude "host" is upset after being told to slow down when driving through the campground at a dangerous speed. This is a wonderful campground. We stay here all the time. The staff is friendly, and if tow vehicles are a problem, don't blame the campground. If you're in the Chattanooga area with an RV, you need to stay here! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
First class operation. The nicest bathrooms and showers I've seen. Sites narrow, but adequate. If you're looking for a stopover on I-75, this is the place I recommend. Good restaurants and other services in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a great place to stay. We arrived late and there was adequate information at the office to find an available spot. The people running the front office were very pleasant and helpful. The park itself was very nice, older yet well maintained. We only spent one night there but will come back there for every visit to Chattanooga. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a nice park if you need a place to stay while sightseeing in Chattanooga. The sites were very close but were level. Most of the sites were full, so it was crowded trying to drive around all of the tow vehicles and toads inside the park. Half of the campground is long-term residents. WiFi and cable were adequate. We went in to buy an article at the store, and the office staff was very unfriendly. A resident who is apparently a host camper was absolutely rude. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The showers and bathhouse were remarkable. Showers are individual rooms and very clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The sites were big enough to accommodate parking the tow vehicle in front of the RV. They were wide enough so you didn't feel like you were under your neighbor's slide. Most were well shaded and level. The playground was nice for the kids. The store was well stocked. Wi-Fi worked at the back of the park not just at the front building. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park is half RVers and half homesteaders, and I definitely knew who was who. Big rig sites apply to motorhomes only. I was in a bigger site and had to back out around the corner to get out of there. Sites were big enough, but interior roads were very narrow with no turning room. Personnel were nice and helpful. I had asked for a site to use my overhead satellite system and was given one completely covered by trees, and they would not move me stating they had good cable TV. There were a lot of channels maybe but poor reception. Not sure I would stay here again as trees were dripping sap and other things; wrong trees for RV park. They would not let me wash rig either. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Fantastic park, both as overnight stay or extended visit to area. Office staff go above and beyond to make the stay pleasant. They are responsive to issues and work hard to correct any problems. The laundry area was spotless as were the rest rooms we noted one side of park used for long term stay, and appeared all those sites were kept neat and clean. We had to park on a long term site due to a full park, as we did not have a reservation. The site was adequate, did not have cable TV, but our dish worked fine. The site was discounted to reflect no cable TV. The neighbors were helpful in assisting us in our site. I would definitely stay here again, and stongly suggest making a reservation; especially during summer and fall. They have a good cancellation policy which they explain in depth at time of reservation. Make this park your 'must stop' anytime your are in Chattanooga area! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Watch your GPS, physical address is TN, but actual location is GA. This is a nice park, but sites are narrow. We are a big rig and could not pull out of our site without hitting the tree at corner of site. Luckily, we were able to back out into site behind us and make the exit turn. Good location for touring the Chattanooga area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice and clean park.Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for a month and the rate was $375 plus elec. The short term sites look much nicer than the long term sites and they get free cable tv. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Have to give this campground a 10. The reason is, they have the cleanest showers, restrooms and laundry room we've encountered on out trip. The sites are pull through with plenty of room in between sites. Not too much shade, but adequate. Friendly and helpful manager and staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful and friendly park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Level, gravel sites are a good size, and each has a small patio and long enough for big rigs. Great area for walking and exercising the dog. Nice playground for the kids. Individual shower rooms with locking doors are first class. Extremely clean and well maintained park. There's even a stationary tub on the outside of the bath house for washing or rinsing off muddy or dirty stuff not suitable for washing indoors - the dog maybe? We saw someone doing just that. What a great idea! Convenient to both Camping World, Wal-Mart and Cracker Barrel. We've told several people about this park since our visit and will most definitely tell more. We'll also stay here whenever we're in the area. You won't be disappointed with this one. We camped here in a Motorhome.
There were nice level pull through sites. We didn't need to unhitch for our overnight stay. There were nice showers and bathroom. Cable and Wi-Fi were included. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We camped here with our grandson who enjoyed the pool. The individual showers were very nice and clean. The laundromat appeared to have just been painted and was clean. The directions to nearby attractions provided on the campground map were very helpful. If in this area, we would camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Staff was not very polite and at times were sarcastic, good thing we didn't have to deal with them all that much. Sites are level and hookups in good locations. Not a good place to bring your pets as there is really no good place to walk them, bring your own bags. The drag strip close by is very loud and runs until sometime around 1am. Location is great to see battlegrounds and Chattanooga as well as Ruby falls and other attractions. Do agree the roads are narrow and there are issues with a rental or car if you have one on most sites. Doubt we would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a very nice park. The spots are adequately sized, though they are not luxuriously spacious by any means. All of the utilities were functional and in good condition. Sites were level and easy to access. The park is easy to access of the Interstate and nearby is many choices for food, gas, etc. None of those amenities appeared to be within walking distance. There were a ton of trees on the grounds, providing lots of shade. This did not affect TV reception and many neighbors had satellite dishes, so I assume they get adequate reception. The showers were very nice. Each shower was in its own room, with separate access from the exterior. In addition to the shower, outside the shower was a dressing area. Each area was more than adequately sized. There was no sink or toilet in the shower area, but they were in the same building. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If you are in a Big Rig, it is best to unhook before attempting to par. Streets are narrow and turns sharp. Nice areas to walk dogs. Easy access to highways. Quite a bit of shade so you might not get your awnings out. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Friendly folks running the park, well laid out, sites are not on top of each other. They first tried to put me in a smaller spot, but when I couldn't get in because of a tree blocked my 5er door, they moved me to a larger spot with no hesitation. Good location that makes easy access to town. Only stayed one night on the way north, it was an enjoyable stay and we will be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice park, but nothing special. The interior roads are tight. Even though the majority of the sites are pull-thrus, the roads are so tight you have to disconnect your toad to get into them. In addition most of the sites are very close together. When your neighbor's unit provides shade for your picnic table the sites are too close together. This park is also on the flight path of the airport. The good news is that it isn't a busy airport, the bad news is that it is a feeder airport so most of the flights are between 6:00AM and 7:00AM. On the positive side, there is a lot of shade and the office staff is very friendly and helpful. We would probably return here again because, unfortunately, this is probably the best park in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Average destination campground. They had most of the seasonals separated in a different section of the campground. Sites were of average width in the pull through section where we stayed. Be careful of the sites when it rains because the grassy area between the sites is surrounded by landscape timbers which causes the areas to become small ponds for a couple of days. Campground was close to the sights in Chattanooga, about 15 minutes from Downtown and the Lookout Mountain area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stopped here overnight on the way back from Florida, and it was a convenient stop. We arrived at midnight and left at 6am, so we didn't see much. We had a long pull-through site that was easy in/out and we didn't need to unhitch the trailer we were pulling behind our motorhome. Sites were long but not large - the neighbors were pretty close. The bathrooms were very clean. We had difficulty finding the place and maneuvering through in the dark (on the other hand you're not kept awake at night by glaring lights). A map with our site number was taped to the office door for our late arrival, as promised so the office seems efficient. It was raining while we were there, and we noticed flooding and lots of mud puddles toward the back of the campground as we were pulling out. I wouldn't have wanted one of those sites. My least favorite thing was being charged extra for 3 children who never left the motorhome or were even awake during our stay. All in all a positive experience, and we'd overnight there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice campground. Sites are gravel and level with paved roads. It is very well laid out and has a friendly staff. Our 42' MH was fine and we maneuvered around without problems. Easy access to I-75 and Chattanooga downtown. We stayed longer than expected as the park was in full bloom and we felt very comfortable there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A large park with all amenities, conveniently located for touring the history rich Chattanooga area. The campground is on the site of the Civil War Battle of Chattanooga. Even though they have a large tent area, it seems you are better off "self-contained" due to limited number of bath houses. Gravel roads had puddles and the grassy areas were muddy or flooded both times we were here. Helpful, friendly and courteous staff. When we had some electrical problems they helped us find the "RVTech" who made quick and rea$onable on-site repairs. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A great place to stay. The sites are large and nicely raised above the sewer for drainage. The free cable TV has many stations and great reception. We stayed only for a night while in transit to Florida, but would love to return again and see the area. Dog owners beware: The park does not permit Rottweilers, Chow Chow, Pit Bull Terriers, or mix of these breeds. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice park, kept exceptionally clean. Has a great laundrymat. Showers by gender by the laundrymat, 6 individual showers in the middle of the park with more men and women restrooms. Has a clubhouse. Really nice people work the whole camp. RV store in office is handy. WiFi came in well. Leaves from the many big trees aren't picked up, tho, and they are selfish about letting use one of their rakes to clean up one's site. There's a great farmer's market if you take the first two rights out of the camp, then a right at the end of the road, across from an amusement center. Campground is actually in Rossville, Georgia. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great overnight park. The grounds were clean and maintained. Office personnel were friendly and helpful. Cable TV and WiFi were free and worked great. No extra charge for electric heaters. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Camped here with 2 good Sam's clubs. 3 nights. Campgrounds were neat, clean and well managed. Office staff was great, check-in was quick. Site was level, large, and comfortable. The drag strip that is near runs on Saturday night, but shuts down at 11. This strip gives out 12 scholarships a year to deserving high school seniors, so I can put up with a little noise. We stayed here for a week in Oct., and I will do it again next year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice park. Would have been a 10 if there was more grass at the sites. Very friendly and helpful staff. This park is worth the stop if just for the showers!! Very nice facility. Plan to stop again on my way back north. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground is actually in George; just across the state line from East Ridge, TN but has a Chattanooga address and phone number. The entrance road from the main highway is narrow with a lot of residential areas. The entrance into the park is tricky for larger rigs due to the sharp turn and narrow road. Swing very wide to make the turn or you will end up hitting a large tree or their sign. Otherwise, the interior roads are a bit narrow for large rigs due to the very large trees and the narrow roads. The sites were close and rig placement is a problem on some sites if you have a lot of slides. We had to disconnect our tow to get into our site. The sites are gravel and have full hookups. Some have the sewer at the rear of the site which required we move the tow to the front of the space and back up the motorhome to get the hose to reach. The campground is divided into two sections. One is for long term campers and the other is for short term camping. The tent area is large and grassy. We spent 3 weeks there and found the campground to be convent for access to I-75 and I-24. The office staff was very efficient and knowledgeable. Since the only other campground in the area for larger rigs is Shipps (not our first choice) we will be staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The Best Holiday Trav-L-Park Chattanooga is a well equipped and maintained campsite nearby GA I-75 exit #1. The reception desk personnel are exceptionally helpful and courteous. The entire campground is kept neat but the private showers and restrooms are always clean and even have country music piped-in. You actually see people working around the place. This may not be the most beautiful campground around but everything that’s there works well. You need to prepare yourself for some cooking at the campsite because only the usual array of fast food restaurants is nearby. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Efficient check in and very helpful staff. Site a little small in width and length, making maneuvering a little tricky, though we did notice some sites were a bit bigger. Water, electric, sewer all OK. Cable TV connection a little shaky giving a very 'speckly' picture on some channels. WiFi variable - old system with many drop-outs. Campground overall tidy and clean and good location for visiting nearby attractions. There was a little noise at night from a nearby speedway track, but not too obtrusive. Restroom spotless. Would use this campground again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A very nicely appointed place. Easy enough to get to. Getting downtown was a snap. Not sure if in Tenn or Georgia, but no matter. Gravel sites and roads w/ main drag paved. Had no problem extending my stay by one day, total 3 nites. This place has everything I needed and I would very much like to return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We called on the Thursday before Labor Day to get a reservation for the weekend. They said I would be in the area normally reserved for monthly rentals so I wouldn't have cable or a fire ring. Site was fine. I've got a 34' 5the wheel with slides on both sides, and had no problem fitting between other similar sized rigs. I've stayed in much more narrow sites at a few older KOA's. It's only about a 10 minute drive to the aquarium, Incline, Rock City, or Ruby Falls. The campground is just a mile from Lake Winnie. The pool was clean, and the restrooms were among the absolute cleanest I've seen at a campground, and this was on a holiday weekend, with the campground at or near capacity. Campground is convenient to I-75 and I-24. We would probably stay here again if we are in the Chattanooga area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
First of all ... WIFI worked like a champ the whole time we were there. We stayed with a group from Good Sam's. This is not the first time we stayed there ... The only issue with this park, and it's always the same, is the noise from the drag strip on Friday and Saturday night (it may be more often but these are the only days we stay there). But they stop around 10 or 11pm. The park was clean, the pool nice, the store has just enough in it and the staff there are very very very nice. Our club stays there once a year and it is convenient to Camping World and Shipps RV ... We always enjoy this CG and it is close to all the Chattanooga sites. To give this a "1" just because the WiFI was not working is a real stretch. You will enjoy this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Gravel sites are not level and very narrow for RV's prior to slide-outs. My slide-out almost touched my neighbors awning. If you have a large motor home good luck in finding room for the towed vehicle. Worst of all were the sounds coming from the nearby race track. It was unbearable at night with engines racing late into the night, or early morning. They can't help the noise, but can improve the sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I only gave them a one because the wifi did work. The grounds are not kept up well. It looked like there had been a rainstorm and nothing was cleaned up. The price is a little too much for what you get. We only stayed because of the wifi. Also make sure you let them know if you might be staying an extra night. We stayed one night and then asked to stay over another night because we had company coming to see us before we left the area. You would have thought we asked for a major favor. They told someone on the telephone that they do not guarantee a spot but we were told we would have to move for the second night because they had already promised the site to someone else for that night??? I think the old geezers in the office just didn't know how to change the computer registration. And the worst part is that nobody ever showed up for the site they made us move out of. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground served our needs as we used it as our base camp. The sites are very small. It rained one day, and the tent area was standing in water a day later. Wi-fi from our site. We would return to use it as a base. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A pretty park with level sites. Showers were clean and private and nice enough that we did use them. No mirror or electric plugs, however. Large laundry also had a couple oversize washers. We stayed here for a week and would stay here again although we did think it a little overpriced. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Adequate campground for our needs. Campsites are narrow, but most have fire rings anyway. Picnic tables are situated on landing pads. Great access from I-75 and yes, there is Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi lacks stability as I was continuously booted off the web at random intervals. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a decent park, but not great. On the plus side are the rest rooms. They were amongst the cleanest I have seen. On the negative side were the sites. They were VERY wet. The "lawn" area was like a swamp. It sure wasn't a good place for our dog. They should really do something about the drainage. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an outstanding park for the traveler passing through on the Interstate. Your left turn on to the street that goes South toward the park is only about 1 block from I75. The sign is not clearly visible if you are in the right lane. Get in the left lane IMMEDIATELY!! We highly recommend the facilities, staff, and location of this excellent park. It is in your best interest to not select a site in the west portion of the park due to standing water. The sites in the first 4 or 5 rows are fine. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very Nice! One of the best RV parks we've ever stayed in. First class facilities. Long, level sites. Good signage -- easy to find. Far enough from Interstate to be quiet. Office staff was friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Limited 50 amp spaces - had to go with a 30 amp. Great wifi connection. All pull throughs. Spaces tight and somewhat cramped - had to do some adjusting to get the awning to avoid being blocked by a tree. Slide out on one side hung over a foot or so in the neighbor's area - but the spaces are slanted which helps out. Very small patio for small picnic table and either you move the table and use that for a sitting area or there's no place to sit out lawn chairs. Well run place, clean, good store and responsive staff. Great for a jump off space to the tourist traps. If you are expecting a lake type lot with a lot of room and privacy - this is not it. And - there is drag racing on Friday night that can be pretty loud. Overall, good experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was one of the finest campgrounds that we have ever stayed at. We have been all over the east coast of the United States and camped in many campgrounds. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers were the cleanest that I have ever seen. I loved the outside door entry showers that the bathouse provided. This gave an extra level of security when bathing three small children. We did not even use the camper's bathroom during our three day stay. The pool was clean and large enough for the expected number of guests. The playground was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and gave directions and advice for area attractions. The sites were level, pull-thru, and wide enough for our fifth wheel, tow vehicle, and minivan. We will use this campground any time that we travel in the Chattanooga area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here 10 days and received a weekly rate. It's situated at the base of beautiful mountains and next door to the Racoon Mountain Caverns, which we took in. Our site was long and full hookup was adequate. We enjoyed the park and would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Convenient to Chattanooga, Ft Oglethorpe, etc. Restrooms are very clean. There are shade trees throughout the campground. The pool is nice with plenty of space around the pool to lounge. Staff is very helpful. Wi-fi is a little slow, but good signal. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice park. The spots are well kept long and wide. Nicely laid out with actual street signs. The site numbers are nicely located so there is no doubt about which is your site. Nice and quiet park with very helpful people in the office. Well organized park!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Not a destination, but easy on and off the freeway. Turns were tight even with our small fifth wheel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient to Camping World. Park was clean and neat. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Convenient to the area attractions, but very loud drag-racing on saturday night. Suggest finding out about the drag racing situation before reserving. Bathrooms very clean and well kept. Showers had lots of water pressure and also very clean. Nice and helpful staff. Stayed last of October weekend. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park is very handy to I-75 and many attractions in Chattanooga and N. GA. The park has nice pull-thrus with level gravel sites and picnic tables on pads. The restrooms and showers are VERY clean and nice. The park is well-kept. Trash must be taken to dumpsters. Free Wi-Fi. The 7th night is free. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice place. The sites are level. Some are shaded and give you a sense of back country. The pool was clean, the store was nice, and the roads were gravel but graded smooth and wide enough to maneuver. On the down side. The dumpsters were full and stunk badly till they emptied them right before we left. The drag strip and the departing and arriving aircraft from the airport were a nuisance. And as for their security officer, on the golf cart was very arrogent and over zealous. The rest of the staff was very warm and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice campground but they pack them in tight. Sites were level and had full hookups. Staff was friendly and the store was pretty well stocked. The pool was nice but crowded. Everything was clean and neat. Convenient to Chattanooga attractions. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We used this park for an overnight stop on the way to and back from Florida. It's easy to get back and forth to I-75, and there are a couple of gas stations that didn't seem too crazy, just across the street and down a little ways, which made fueling up easy. The sites were level. On both visits we left the truck hooked up, which made getting on the road in the morning pretty easy. It's a quiet and clean park, with a nice pool that felt great after traveling all day. The sites are somewhat close. On our first night here we received rain from part of a tropical storm and the site had quite a bit of water along the low sides. The airport issue was really no problem, we saw a few planes on both stops, but nothing that was enough to disturb us. The bathrooms are real nice and clean. For an overnighter, this is a great place. If I was staying in the area for any longer I would want to check out one of the nearby county or state parks. (They are not located real conveniently to I-75 though.) We just don't like being so close to other campers. The one down side is that they charge for any more then 2 campers, including kids over 6. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Narrow sites which are covered with limestone slag. When it is dry you track in white powder, when wet you track in white mud. The park advertises no noise from the Interstate which is true, but the park is due south of the international airport which has an approach and departure path right over the campground. Then a quarter mile race track is very close and the races will blow you out of bed every once in a while. It is a clean park with nice restrooms, but we don't use those facilities as our camper also has a nice bathroom. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We had a weeklong event to attend in Rossville, Georgia. This park was approximately
seven miles away and provided all the amenities that we needed for restful evenings. The sites are fairly close together (about 8 feet from awning tip to next camper). Many of the sites are shaded. Even for being so crowded, the park is quiet and clean. The gravel sites are level. There are some potholes in the roads that could use filling. The pool was very nice. We had to leave early and the management didn't even question me when I asked for a one night refund. If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting the Chattanooga area, this is a very decent campground. (Rated 8) We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The best showers we have ever seen. We have a shower in the MH, but a neighbor told us we had to do the showers. Very well kept and clean. Open pull thrus could have been a little larger, but we did not feel cramped. Narrow access road and a little tight turning in, but not a real hassle. Stayed in 2003 in a 40 foot motor home, and will go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
