We were disappointed with the general condition of the park. It seems the owners have no desire to improve the park. The Wi-Fi throughout the park was an additional monthly charge and was terrible. Many folks gave up and canceled the service. To be fair, Wi-Fi was available in the building. Cable TV is not offered, I did ask when booking, was told they had cable. I guess the office was not informed of the cable being removed. Having checked different RV parks in the area there are better choices. Would not have stayed 3 months but paid upon arrival. They have a no refund policy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The last post pretty well covers it. We stayed as Winter Texans for three months and paid the three month rate with electric extra. Be advised the third party internet has very limited coverage due to the large number of trees that block or interrupt the signal. There is also a free nine-hole golf course on the property. Pets are restricted to a specific area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a large RV and MH resort park. There are many permanent residents. Most sites are back in of a reasonable size. Full hookups plus cable were available. Wi-Fi is provided by 3rd party, so costs are incurred. Very large pool with 2 hot tubs area. There are numerous activities in the winter season. The facilities include a Large activity and entertainment complex. Staff were friendly. Bring a bike or golf cart with you to get around. It is close to McAllen shopping, restaurants and medical facilities. Security was good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is our third year at this park. There are so many activities you will never be bored! The people who stay here as well as the park employees are so friendly. We highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The people who winter in this campground are without a doubt the friendliest around. The campground and the resident volunteers provide more activities than any other campground we have experienced. No reason to be bored here. The sites are a little tight, especially the ones with trees. The cable TV leaves a little to be desired. But overall we would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very friendly and convenient campground with lots of official and unofficial activities (block parties for instance). The management provides many amenities not usually provided such as a bus for group transportation (free), free golf on the properties course, tennis balls for the organized events, BBQ grills for group activies and many more. There are shaded and open sites all with full hook-ups even for the largest rig. Being near McAllen, there are plenty of outside activites and good shopping. Wifi does however cost. Having stayed at several valley campgrounds, we found this one to be a cut above. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Many free activities. Woodworking shop, sewing, ceramics, card games of all types, dominos, billiard tables - 10 of them, dancing, pancake breakfasts, craft shows, huge library, 2 laundromats, 2 hot tubs, free golf course. Security guards. Close to lots of great restuarants. We camped here in a camper.
