This is not a real RV park, it is a day use park for picnics. The road in is narrow and twisty, the sites are VERY short and not level. The bathrooms are not cleaned daily and old. Avoid this if your in anything longer then 10'. They don't tell you this when you talk to them. We stayed in a 38' motor home, never again. You have to wait till the day use parking lot clears out before you can get in or out of your site. Severe steep driveway. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here 1 night to attend a concert down the street. Can't reserve till 14 days prior, we did, but they didn't have any record of it. Can't check in till 5pm, Must leave by 11am. They put us in the parking lot backed up to the trees. Had to move a bunch of cars in the lot to get us in. Cable tv had 3 channels. WiFi was free for an hour, then $6.00 a day! Restrooms need a lot of TLC before my wife would use it. Would only stay here again to attend another concert. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Pleasant location. However the site was not flat, which made for awkward sleeping. This was surprising as it is tarmac all the way through. Restrooms and showers needed a LOT of work (holes in the walls, cramped and dirty). Wifi was available for $6. This site has a lot of potential as it is beautifully situated in the woods and right by a stream, and has all facilities available. However the problems mentioned above mean I can only give it a 6 out of 10. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground does have promise, but needs some work. It needs new management, dump station, and get rid of the residents who live there in their RV's. A campground is for short term stays not building a deck next to your RV. The morning time you can hear all the cars starting up and people leaving the campground to go to work. The bathrooms had lines out the door because the long term residents have no sewer hook ups. It's a pretty park but it's used more as a residence. Don't waste your money. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Beautiful RV site in the Redwoods and a river. This is a tight RV area, so if you have a large RV it might be tight to move around. The owners were very nice. No dump stations and not a dump station too close by. They do have a truck that comes around on Mondays and you can pay to dump into their setup. Very quite and will be nice to camp in summer. It is 10 minutes from San Jose and it is also in the direction of Big Basin State Park. Camped one night in November 2005. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
