One of Oregon's more popular state parks, with hundreds of narrow, paved, not-quite-level sites -- some of which can accommodate a big rig -- crammed in to a small strip of land between the highway and the lake. Always noisy -- this is a play area for powered watercraft -- and nearly always full: reservations are strongly recommended. Electrical hookups are 15 amp only (and installed upside down!) so you won't be able to run your A/C. Rules enforcement is rather anal-retentive. Good park if you're coming to play or party. Not for quiet contemplation. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park. 50 amp would have earned it a 10. Our site had a view of the launch ramp. As much fun to watch as the dump station and smells better. Lots of shade. Campground volunteers are friendly. Check in staff was challenged. Friends came in a night early, their reserved campsite was vacant, check in people would not let them pay the extra night, had to come back the next day to check in to the same site again. Seems trying to figure that out was beyond the clerk. Will stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here during the Labor Day weekend and had a great time. The park was very full but the rangers made sure the rules were enforced. For example the people next to us had too many cars parked at their site and the rangers made them move one car. It was quiet at night. We were in Loop C and could not hear any road noise but some of the loops backed right to the busy Hwy 22. Our site was really large and felt private. We really enjoyed having views of the lake and being close to the huge playground. The roads were paved so the kids could ride their bikes. We would come back here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very busy campground during the summer. You will need to have reservations or get there very early. We were here after Labor Day and it had turned into a first come first served campground until next Memorial Day. It was very quiet and we really enjoyed ourselves. We have stayed here in the summer before and found it to be too busy, plus it was smoky and there was quite a bit of road noise. There are numerous activities that the park hosts each day. There's swimming, fishing, boating and it's a huge lake. 106 full hookup, 72 electrical, 133 tent (maximum site 60 feet), 82 boat slips. All of the sites are roomy and some are rather private. The park has a small gift shop/ice available there. In the town of Detroit which is about a mile away, there are restaurants, fishing tackle stores, a grocery store, gift shops and a post office. We would stay here again during the off season. We camped here in a Motorhome.
