We stayed at Balsam Lake campground. Our site (#92) was large, but very uneven – even after three boards under one side and our front landing gear fully extended, I couldn’t level the trailer. We moved to another site that was level. We found that even the sites that are “premium” have very tight turning issues. If you have a large rig (we have a 35’ toy hauler), consider an end spot. We found that the camp staff were very friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this place. My kids are 5, 3 and 2 and look forward every year to spending 4 or 5 nights here. The first time we were here we were in one of the loops and didn't particularly have the greatest weekend due to noisy neighbors, but since then we know where to stay and never any problems. Even lucky enough to get one of the lakefront sites one year. Amazing. The beaches are awesome and there is a dog swimming area at the canoe launch. Awesome playground. Just pack a bag in the morning and head to the beach for the day. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We booked a pull through site that was supposedly suitable for a large vehicle but it was extremely difficult to get into and no way could we pull through. Sites were very close together, the number of campfires at night made it literally hard to breathe, it was always crowded and noisy. I guess if what you're after is activity as opposed to a quiet relatively peaceful camping experience this may be the place, but not for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Family provincial park with hundreds of sites, mostly shaded but some open. Just 10 minutes from Coboconk. Great location on Balsam Lake. We enjoy biking at this park while others come for the fishing and/or the beach. Nice Park! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Half the sites are electric. This park is about 55 kilometres east of Orillia and well worth the trip. Four different campgrounds, have something for everyone. Sandy beach with rentals of canoes, kayaks and pedal boats. Park is bike friendly too, as you can bike along the lake (outside the park as well) and local country roads with very little traffic. About 20 minutes away is an abandoned railway bed that has been turned into a hiking/biking trail. This is a beautiful, peaceful spot but we like it especially in the fall We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
