The best thing that can be said about this park is that it is a few miles from Spring Training Baseball in Peoria. The park is behind the Ramada Inn Hotel and is the poor sister to the hotel. A few shade trees but none close to us, worn out paved roads and gravel barren hook-up sites. It looks like no one cares about upkeep. The weeds are tall and we didn't go into the bathrooms because I figured if you can't trim the weeds you probably won't have great bathrooms. A fine parking lot with older hook-ups would be a kind description. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We registered at Ramada Inn front desk with very friendly staff. After driving back to the site we decided not to stay. The area did not seem safe with only a handful of full-time residents living in propped up camper shells and very old travel trailers. The staff had no problem refunding our money. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good location on the NW side of town, right off the 101. Pull through sites, no problem pulling my 30' trailer through the facility. The facility itself has seen better days...bathrooms/showers were a bit rough, the pet area is more weeds than grass, and there's not much in the immediate vicinity. It was a convenient place to stay, and I'd stay again, but I didn't want to spend any more time on site than necessary. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good park for what it is: a place with full hook-ups and good location for visiting the NW side of Phoenix. As others have said, it is located directly behind a Ramada Inn (you check in in the lobby of the hotel). The park itself is in decent enough shape, but it will win no awards for best-manicured RV park. It is surrounded by residential neighborhoods (they looked decent) and you enter the Ramada Inn/RV Park off of Grand Ave. which is a fairly busy road. There are train tracks across the street, but the schedule for the train seems random. We had stayed here a few years ago and heard the train at night. This time, no train was heard. Also, road noise was very minimal. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed at this park only because the location was convenient for us. Several sites had non-functioning electric pedestals. Park has paved roads but the sites are sand. There is no shade. There are no picnic tables. Laundry and bathrooms are in need of repair. We were asked to leave because the park host claimed that our Beagle "defecated all over the park." That never happened. Not once. The manager of the Ramada Motel which is in front of this park, would do nothing except blow cigarette smoke in my face when I tried to find out what was really motivating this action. The park hosts seemed to be bent on pitting various guests against one another. Very childish behavior. We will never go back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
