We only live 30 minutes away, and have camped in this park at various times for many years. Our trips have been in Tents, Pop-ups, Trailers, and now a Class A Motorhome. As with many Federal Parks, there are no hookups although water and sewer dump facilities are available nearby. Our best memories, however, have been camping here watching Deer, Star-gazing, Canoeing, Hiking, and generally unwinding. The Boone Fork Trail meanders through the campground, and includes a five mile loop that includes some of the most beautiful creeks and waterfalls around. If you are into amenities, go somewhere else. If your objective is to commune with nature and regenerate, this is the place to be. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are no hookups. The park has a nice lake, with limited sites that have a view of it. There are lots of trees, underbrush and bugs. The camp sites are small, many too small for large RV's. Otherwise, bath-house is okay, roads and sites are paved. We stayed here for 3 days. Due to small sites, them being overgrown and no services, I would look elsewhere next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects Federal Handicap Access Pass rate of half price. We stayed here 12 nights and loved it! Bring a generator unless you are like us and have 270 watts of solar! Sure you have to fetch water, dump your holding tanks, and there is no electricity but that isn't what this park is all about. It is very quiet, well spaced and simply gorgeous. Deer wandered by our camp site almost daily; we saw chipmunks scurrying about and lots of birds. Bathrooms (no showers) were nearby as were water sources. A dump station is located at the campground entrance and is easy to get to. The campground filled up on weekends and thinned out during the week. Nearby Blowing Rock is a neat place but limited. The town of Boone is 9 miles away and has everything you need. We will certainly visit here again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway MM295. Most of the sites are not level. Nice lake to canoe and several hiking trails that loop around property. No showers and the bathroom has cold water only. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This National Park Service campground is located in the Julian Price Memorial Park about 4 miles west of Blowing Rock, NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway. No hookups but several water faucets are located throughout the campground and a dump station is located near the entrance. Most sites are suitable for tents, small popups and class C RVs. Only a few sites can handle large motorhomes and fifth wheels. A few back-in sites could handle my 33’ fifth wheel but I would have to park my tow vehicle in an overflow parking area. About half of the sites can be reserved and the rest are first-come-first-served. Loop A is located on the south side of the parkway on the shore of Price Lake and about 12 of these sites are waterfront. Near loop A is a boat ramp and canoe rental ($6 per hour). The campground was neat and very woodsy and the trees may be a problem for satellite TV reception. This is a very nice National Park Service campground but since it offers no hookups and few amenities, I rate it a 7. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
