Nice park. Great price for seniors. Negative: 12 trains went by overnight. A nearby crossing meant many train horns during the night. Otherwise, ok. We stayed one night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Adequate campsite; unfortunately, North Dakota has a housing issue and workers come and go all hours of the day and night. Don't plan on sleeping through the night due to 2-4 trains blasting their horns every night. However, the people at the park were very nice, and the lilacs smelled wonderful. The playground was excellent and my kids enjoyed themselves. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We came across this campground, by accident, while looking for an RV Park in Dickinson. This is a public campground operated by Dickinson Park Department for the Department of Interior. It is within a park on Patterson Lake and to our dislike along a major rail line. The electric and water sites are parallel and 100 feet from the rail line. The train traffic was frequent during the night. The entrance to park is next to the RV campground so with each passing train there is an abundance of trains sounding their horn. We had a 50 amp site, which was not level. The site pads are just dirt with a weedy ground cover and shrubs between sites. There are some unkempt seasonal trailers occupying a few sites. The restrooms were horrible and we elected not to use them to protect our health. We will avoid staying here in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Signs were good coming from the west except for the last one; the arrow looked like a 45 degree turn ahead slanting to the left when it is actually a 90 degree left turn right there. It is a nice campground. No highway noise. Nice lake views. Trains: one track in the distance on the north side of I-94, second track 50 yards from campground. Trains on the closer track go by fast and sound like they are coming right through the window, but fortunately few went by at night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

NICE, level, partial shade at all sites with 10' lilac bushes to each side (~25' x60') of sites for privacy. Also 40+' shade trees to the back of sites with table and fire rings. Sites face the lake. Golden Age (America the Beautiful) pass honored; 1/2 price is $9. Water, 30A electric, no sewer, but dump station convenient to sites. Restrooms and showers needed TLC but park grounds were immaculate. Boating, fishing, and swim beach are within walk distance. Park for kids and group picnic site. Much better than other campgrounds on river that we toured in area. My computer cell card was very slow and sketchy, but available closer to town if you need it. Accident ruined signs last year, so from the I-94 bus loop take Hwy 10 (on SW side of I-94 loop) go about 1 mile. (It's past the G&Fish sign.) Turn left just after the Diesel repair shop and in front of the N-S row of houses. You'll being going South; passing just to the West side of the CHS tall silo (easy landmark). Cross the RR track (be careful is it a busy RR!) and you are there. It is REALLY not that hard, plus big rigs can get turned around most any place in case you take the wrong left like we did! We camped here in a Motorhome.
