Lovely wooded campground with a great historic (not rustic) feel. Very family oriented, very friendly to their local community (reunions and gatherings offered here). Could not have asked for friendlier hosts. They go above and beyond for the kids at the campground to have a good time. The children loved the flashlight lollipop hunt and the beach games! The campground creeks and lakes are all spring fed, and in constant movement from the originating spring. We had a good time exploring the property and appreciate all the work someone put in to build creeks, dams, and ponds throughout. The swimming "hole" is clean, only about 5 feet deep, has a small beach area and floats the kids can play on. The lake behind that is good for fishing. The kids had fun exploring the creeks and the little bridges built over them. There are permanent sites, mostly separate from visitors, and were all well kept and friendly. The camp store has all the necessities and goodies for the kids. It's also the nightly hang out for good but quiet get togethers of the campers. The pool was newly lined and clean, but chilly. Showers small but clean and the bathrooms were clean. Teepees are available for rent, but currently require some TLC. Give them time, I am sure they will get to it. Laundry available as well. No septic hook up, but a dump station on site. The town of Allen is worth exploring too with antique stores, Amish goods, and nice local people. We plan to stay here 2-3 days once a year now. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice primitive campground. I call it primitive because it is W/E only and just a few sites have pads. But that doesn't mean it is not a nice place to stay. About 25 of the sites were for long term campers but those were mostly separated from the short term sites. Lots of things to do in the campground. There are a number of ponds and streams, a natural swimming hole and a pool, nature trails, fishing pond, basketball & volleyball courts, 2 playgrounds and more. Most sites are shaded but there are a few non-shaded sites available. Site sizes range from only suitable for tents to any size rig. Site I stayed in was a back-in site that was over 60 ft. long by 30 ft. wide. You can even rent a tipi for the night if you want. No WiFi but Verizon cell and data service was good. Stayed here the middle of May and they were still in the process of cleaning the campground and opening the pool but not really unexpected since we've had a cool wet spring and the real camping season doesn't start until Memorial Day. I will come back and stay here again once summer is in full swing so I can enjoy all of the amenities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, Karl (owner) is an exceptional host. I got in late and he guided me to my spot. Fountain in the front pond is relaxing and we enjoyed walking along the streams. Must be doing something right, we camped mid-week, and it was half full. They offer a good mid-week special though which helps. They rent tee-pees, have several pavilions with barbecues and lighting. Clean working facilities. I would have rated it a 10 if they had Wi-Fi. Visiting again next week, it has become a family favorite, clean, quiet, organized, friendly, and a place to remember. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice little campground. The campground owner/host were exceptional. Very friendly and nice. Some sites were a little tight and un-level but we managed with our 26 ft camper. Kids had a blast at the swimming pond with the rafts provided. Pool was clean and warm. Great place to go antiquing if you like that sort of thing. We found it fun. Store's and towns pretty close by. We would return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We love this campground. We have already been there twice this year. There is so much for everyone to do. Horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, fishing, swimming (pool & pond), 2 playgrounds, trails, hayrides, and so much more. The owners and staff are all very friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I've stayed here many times and usually the sites are very nice. The last trip we were in the "group" area. This area is great to accommodate a large group of campers, in some sites you can actually make a big circle with your campers. However, there is very little if any grass in this area. Our trailer and dogs were filthy with dirt. The remainder of the campground is very nice and clean. The pool was nicely maintained, and refreshing. There is a swimming pond and the campground provides floaty mats for the campers to use. The operators offer many different activities throughout the day. This particular weekend, they hosted a water gun fight; the local fire department came with their trucks and participated. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
