When arriving we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. However, when we telephoned a day ahead we were not informed that the outdoor pool was unusable and there are no swimming beaches on the lake. The indoor pool bottom looked dirty so we did not want to use it. Our site was large with good TV reception, Wi-Fi, and 50amp. Many of the other sites could use some TLC and the rental trailers detract from the overall appearance of the park. The restrooms and showers were immaculate and clubhouse had a great view and was a nice size. There did seem to be activities each day from which to choose. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is secluded and well off the main road, about 17 miles out of Grove. If you're coming from the South, your GPS may tell you to take 127 into the resort before you reach Jay. That was a bit scary for us pulling a 24' travel trailer. Anything larger may have problems or just give you white knuckles. Narrow, windy with steep and stubby hills/ravines. Just go through Jay and make a left onto 127 while heading into Grove. A much smoother ride. You will see the sign for Pine Island Resort just past a gas station (Phillips 66), about 7 miles before Grove. Pros: Clean, very friendly and accommodating staff, remote locations, wildlife, trails, fishing, and more. They are building a new welcome center to open soon. Cons: Several rental trailers sit empty at a few sites. A couple of these are rundown and should be removed. There are two sides to this resort: members and non-members. The member side sits high above and overlooks the lake. You cannot see the lake from the non-member side. Non-members do have access to all of the amenities on the members side. You can walk, ride bikes or drive over to the member side. We did enjoy our two night stay. We recommend the Har-Ber Village in Grove. There's a little cafe there called the Back Porch Cafe. Great sweet potato fries and home made coconut cream pie! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Okay this has got to be the best campground on or near Grand Lake! We looked into others but this one has everything needed for kids to have a good time as well as adults. All the way down to an indoor pool/outdoor pool. It has scheduled crafts for both, game room, movies and putt putt to boot. There is a hiking trail that you can frequently see deer and other animals as well as many mature trees for shade. We liked it so much that after one night we bought a membership and spent the rest of our vacation with a view over looking Grand Lake not a bad way to start or end the day. Also if you're staying for two weeks it's cheaper to buy a membership. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here as guests, and liked it so much we decided to purchase a membership. Park staff were very friendly. Park is maintained well and there is a great view of Grand Lake from the Eagle's Nest. Only downside is the road to get to the park is winding and has some overhanging trees. It was well worth the drive in though! We plan to spend several weeks a year here. They accept Passport America and Coast to Coast. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely campground that has sites overlooking a beautiful lake. The roads are good. The campground has just about everything; indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, heated indoor fishing dock (I heard they were pulling 50-60 lb catfish out this summer), small store, etc. We stayed on a site that had a gorgeous view overlooking a good sized lake that had a lot of character. We could see ourselves staying a month here, but, we only have a week. DARN! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
