Nice place to stay in town. Right by Clearwater. This is a campground that fills up with the winter season. There are permanent dwellings here as well. We stayed here for a few nights on our way home to be close to family. We had a good rate. The manager is a real nice lady and all the staff are, too. We had a lake site as someone was a no show. It was quiet here. Our site was level and utilities were good. Cable is available if you stay a month. Right around the corner is Ozona and some fun little shops. Walking trail is also close by. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very good office staff. Given choice of six different sites. Not very busy this time of year. Transient sites mixed in with park and permanent residents. Very few poorly kept sites. Adequate space. What shaded sites there are appeared to be taken by semi-permanent unites. Good Wi-Fi. Moderate traffic noise from 19A, other wise, very quiet. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park was beautiful. It had mature trees a pond full of life! It is tucked far enough from the city to see so many stars but at the same time, has a gas station and several restaurants and a CVS within walking distance. Only down side was you have to go to the next RV park to get your propane filled but still only is a block away. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Not as advertised, when asked for a more suitable site, told to go elsewhere. Looks like a haven for very low class, permanent residents. Someone tried to enter our neighbor's motorhome during night, they left and so did we. What a dump! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We camped here for 3 days while visiting relatives, our site was very small and water connection was at our neighbors site. Lucky we had 50 feet of hose otherwise 25 feet not enough. Good for quick stop over, lots long term units and park models but well kept not messy or eyesore units. Excellent paved bike trail which we used, I think 36 miles long total. Great!! No Cable at our site. Most had satellite dishes. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an older campground that caters mostly to people staying over for winter (from northern states and Canada), so not too many sites available to transients. Our sites was fairly large with a long concrete patio. We were fairly pleased with the site. The only drawback is that we were almost next to a fairly busy street, so it was never real quiet and, in fact, quite noisy at time. Bathrooms and showers were just so-so. One toilet was broken when we arrived and was still broken when we left. We stayed a week. A big plus is they are next to the Pinella Trail, which was great for us as biking is our preferred form of exercise. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
