Pulled in on a Thursday in August at 3:30 PM. (No listed activities at fairground until Saturday.) Only 2 sites available, water only (no electric). Most units seemed to be permanent and not well maintained. Beware if you think this is a convenient stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Fairly easy to find, but a haphazard setup for many sites: water on one side and sewer, electricity on the other, etc. It may be useful to walk, or drive through with the toad first (if feasible), when choosing a site to find 30 or 50 amp, which side water, electricity is on, how far back sewer hookup is, etc. The roads are not real wide for swing room and some loops do not connect with other portions of the campground. There are a few permanents who park in the street and some junk, but evidently much better than a few years ago. It is about the only decent campground in the area and we would stay again. It did have some longer gravel pull through sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good campground, not a destination but prices are fair with full hookup (50 amp) new power pedestals long pull throughs and level. Restrooms are clean, no fancy pools but clean and functional. Easy on off from Interstate close of west Fargo and just a couple miles to Fargo. Would stay here again. Current manager has had it since 2008 and has made a lot of improvements. Just check in at fairground office or pull in set up and the manager comes around to the sites in the evening. No reservations but should not be a problem getting a spot We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The location is easy on/off interstate and short commute into West Fargo and Fargo. The full hookup sites are limited. When we arrived the 12 asphalt pad sites were occupied leaving gravel and grassy sites. There were some sites occupied by small travel trailers setup as permanent homes. A few were rather shabby. We could not find a site that was level with full hookups so we went to water supply filled water tank and selected a site with electric only. There were some sites with electric and water BUT they were uneven, the water pressure was bad and the electric boxes were just plain scary. My 1 visit to the ladies room bathroom was enough. Did quickie showers and used paper plates to conserve water. We camped here in a Motorhome.
