Camp has nice hillside sites under trees that are well separated. I suggest that a 4x4 is needed for some of the upper level sandy sites if pulling a medium to large trailer. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The self-guided Petrified Forest walking tour was very interesting for all ages above 7 years old. The price vs. site quality was exceptional. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We visited this campground as a Cub Scout Pack. We had about 50 people in 14 or 15 tents. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and gave a discount since we were Cub Scouts. Self guided tour was very interesting, and has a well stocked gift shop. We camped here in a Tent.

The campground is wooded, and quiet. The sites are spacious, and moderately level for a trailer. A motorhome may have a harder time. We were able to get a satellite signal, however we were there in January. Restrooms were clean but modest. The restrooms are shared by the Forest picnic area. There are two showers, accessed by a code lock, for campers only. The Petrified forest is well worth a visit. Part of the self guided tour is handicap accessable. The staff is vary friendly and knowledgeable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very quiet, we were the only ones there the two days we stayed here. The entire park is very shady which helps with the heat, but leaves, limbs and sticky tree droppings fell on our truck/rv. The park is situated on the side of a hill, so the sites were not level, and all dirt and gravel. We were in site 2 which seemed more level than the others, but there were a lot of roots to contend with. The pavilion/picnic area was large and well maintained, but the sites were in desperate need of attention. It was hard to even locate the sites. We had no problems with any of the hookups. All worked good. Their website says 20 amp, but they do have 30 amp. We would not recommend this park, especially if it is raining, has rained, or looks like rain. Keep driving. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a quiet, shaded campground associated with the attached Petrified Forest. Only one or two sites would accommodate our 40 foot 5th wheel, but they were nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was very peaceful here. It was good for an overnight or if you are visiting the Petrified Forest. There is lots of room for kids to run or ride bikes, but there are no activities or amenities for them. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
