This park is gorgeous...obvious pride in ownership...well looked after...large sites, paved roads and concrete pads to park unit...we were fortunate enough to be backed on to a pond with a fountain. Would definetly recommend. Only small drawback is utility post is about center of the pad...if your power is at the back you may need an extention cord or park may supply. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have stopped here many times and we always enjoy it, especially because of the long spaces, wide open feel and neat and clean premises. Enjoyed our stay again. WiFi a little slow because park was full. Showers take a few minutes to warm up. Dog wash is still $5.00 which is a good reason to stop and wash a large dog. Food Maxx is within walking distance. Highly recommend to anyone in an RV. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rarely would I give a 10, but at Durango, everything is excellent, from check-in to the sites (wide concrete pads, very level) with nice grass, to the utility pedestals. A very nice pool area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great place, staff was very friendly, went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Sites a large, well laid out, and have double hook-ups, one at each end. Very beautiful layout, well maintained. We will stay here again when we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park. Spacious sites. Easy pull throughs. Internet was adequate. The pool and hot tub were very nice. Clean and large. The grounds are very well maintained. Great stop over when heading up or down I-5. One of the nicest parks for spending a night or more. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice RV Resort. Good space between sites. Large level site. Close to I-5 but our site was on the far side of the park so it was just fine. Lots of activities in the resort and beautiful views of the river. Walking distance to restaurants and large grocery store. Italian restaurant will deliver to your space and the food was great. Will come back to Red Bluff just to stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is definitely a 10!!! Streets are wide, sites are paved, long & level. Grass is green. Good 50 amps. Good satellite reception. I could find no negatives about this park and it comes with a great price. We did not use any of their facilities, but everything looks clean & well kept. Personnel were very friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was my 4th time at Durango. Normally the park has earned a 10+...the Wi-Fi was mostly slow if at all...and that was with everyone in my group (RVW). The Dog run surface was so powdery, that my normally white dog turned a chalky color and I had to bathe him...the powder blew in the air whenever he/I walked and billowed when he ran. Perhaps some fine pebbles or DG. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a really nice RV Park. We had a river view space which was great. The spaces were nice & big. Nice grass around our spot & very clean. The pool was really big and so clean. There was a little traffic noise but not too bad. When we checked in we felt they were glad to see us and really wanted us there. There was a grocery store and restaurant within walking distance. We loved it here and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is the way all RV parks should be. It is clean, very well-kept, full-service, reasonably priced with friendly, helpful staff. We only stayed over-night, but would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We've stayed there twice so far, once with a club and this month on our own while traveling. A first class park, still pretty new with small trees but grassy sites and beautiful pool and spa. The facilities are first class and immaculate. There is highway noise; maybe it's better in the back, I don't know. Nice walk down to the river and very close to shopping. In fact, you drive through the shopping center parking lot to get to the park. Next door to a Shari's restaurant, which is very good. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We loved this park. We stopped for one night. Easy to get in and out. Nice check-in. We had a back-in fountain site. Our six-year-old loved the frogs. Plenty of room to back rig in. Site had room for slides and still have a patio. Freeway noise was masked by fountains. We would stay here again if traveling through. Very hot in summer, but a nice pool. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a spectacular RV resort. The only reason I rate it 9 is that there are no campfire rings and not enough shade in most of the park. All sites are level concrete and extremely wide and long. Very big pool, beautiful landscaping, good cable service, and above average WiFi. Adjacent to shopping and restaurants. Close to the Highway. Staff was very accommodating. Our 5th wheel was brought here by a towing company while our broken truck was being towed to a repair shop. We had been sitting along side the interstate in 100 deg. heat for two hours before the tow arrived. The staff at Durango couldn't have been more sympathetic and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our premium pull-thru site was one of the longest and widest we've ever had. We had more than enough room to park our 40 foot motor home with space left over to park our toad behind or in front several times over. In retrospect one of their regular pull-throughs would have been more than large enough. Site was concrete and very level with grass in-between. The park is immaculate. Staff are friendly. Trash is picked up from your site throughout the day. Trees were small and did not block our satellite dish. Good cable. Adequate Verizon 3G/4G coverage. WiFi was fair to okay. It's next to the freeway so there is some noise on that side of the park, but the noise level was low where we were. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Riverfront sites available (without discount). Clean park, wide roads, attractive clubhouse, reasonable laundry prices, and landscaped. Showers clean, but only a basketball player can reach the shower caddy/shelves. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful park and amenities. Not much to do outside the park and it can get real hot here. The dog runs could really use some shade. Other then that the pool and grounds are amazing. We stayed on a river front spot which was beautiful. The only problem was on the other side of the park where we had a lot of noise from people doing donuts in their car and we woke to a homeless person sleeping in the bushes. I truly would return but probably only overnight or during the colder months We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an excellent RV resort and a bargain at the price (Good Sam discount included). Facilities are maintained in an excellent condition from landscaping to pool to bathrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Led to site over very good roads to a spacious site with excellent utilities. Enjoyed a relaxing two days and would have stayed longer if not on a travel schedule. Ask for a site farther from the freeway to avoid some I-5 traffic noise. Definitely would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate reflects a Good Sam discount. This is a 5 Star resort located on the Sacramento River. Sites are concete, level, long, with more than ample space between units. Beautiful landscaping, ponds, pool, hot tub. What else can we say. There are no negatives! Just come and enjoy. We would be back if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our time at this campground. This is a very clean park. Park is close to restaurants and grocery shops. Easy access to freeway, but being close to the freeway also creates some noise throughout the park. Premium spots include a river view, but also a view of the freeway. We found this place to be very buggy so bring your insect repellent. Park also included small pet yards and a pet wash. WiFi was good, getting satellite was easy and our Verizon phone reception was strong. Recreation hall, pool, spa and laundry facilities were very clean and impressive. Gas stone fire pits and seating areas are located outside both recreation halls. We found this park to be expensive. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Really nice park with paved roads and paved sites. Utility hookups were convenient for our long pull-through. Had a good line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish. There are nice sites along the Sacramento River and a nice walking trail also. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice and clean park. The prior visitors' comments accurately represent the quality of the park and its amenities. The only drawback was the proximity to the freeway and commensurate traffic noise. Otherwise, this was a great place to stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Clean and beautiful park. Only 5 years old. Well managed. Only reason for reduced rating was Wi-Fi incredibly unreliable. Say they are getting a new set up but not there yet. Asked about it at office and were told we were the only ones to ever mention it. Next week there was a notice in their newsletter that they knew it was bad and were trying to fix it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If this RV resort were another mile from the I-5 freeway, it would be perfect. Spotless facilities. Very helpful staff. While setting up I noticed that the cable TV hookup was broken. Called the office and within 5 minutes staff was on the spot to fix it. Love this place. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This truly qualifies as a RV resort. Wide streets and wide, paved sites spaced far apart. New facilities, exercise room and massages by appointment. Located on the banks of the Sacramento river. More amenities to enjoy include putting green, pool, spa, pickle ball, and sports court. This will definitely become a "must" stop for us as we travel north and south. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Really nice park! Check in was smooth and we were escorted to our long, level concrete site, with all utilities properly placed and in excellent order. The pedestals are new design, which makes hook ups easy. We had a buddy site which let our daughters motorhome face us across a grass lawn. Each site has a picnic table. Laundry, clubhouse and restrooms were spotless and trash was picked up at your site each morning! There is walking access to the Sacramento River, which runs next to the park I5 is next to the park, but not noisy. Groceries and a Shari's restaurant are just across the street-get some excellent pie at Sharis! We will stay here when next in Red Bluff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Prior to our arrival I had noted that every recent reviewer had awarded a 10 to this park. Is the park a perfect '10'? We adjusted our plans to find out. It is truly beautiful. We stayed in the pull-thru's, which are some of their cheaper sites. They were excellent. Next time we will upgrade to either the fountain or riverfront sites. They are worth it. I was very surprised that the very nice landscaper edged the grass but left the clippings right at our doorstep. At one point we entered the office and found no one at the desk. The very strong smell of cigarette smoke confirmed the young man had vacated his responsibilities for a smoke. Both of the young ladies who were usually on duty were great, however. Totally perplexing to me was the tightly curved road to the propane. Blackened curbs offered evidence that others risked the sidewall damage that I would not. Prime rib dinner, at a close walking. distance, breakfast style restaurant was excellent. The 10% off pizza, a short hike away, was some of the best ever. And to burn that off, they had an upgraded exercise bike & a gorgeous pool. Nightly walks were enhanced by 2 outdoor gas fire pits that were on nightly with very comfortable seating. A perfect '10'? Not perfect, but still a 10. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Best park we've stayed in. Wide (2-lane) interior paved roads, level concrete sites, beautifully manicured lawns between sites. Free, strong Wi-Fi and free cable. Everything immaculately clean, nice pool and large spa. We stayed free with RVGOLF and by staying here got to play the private course 3 miles away. Staff was friendly and helpful. This park exceeded expectations in every way. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Now this is what we call a top rate RV resort that is open to the public without owning a lot. Love it and will always stay at this resort when in the area. We only stayed one night this time, but not our first time. Just had to leave before weather set in. Wish there were more like this. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is impeccible!!! Family friendly! Dog Friendly!! Two dog areas for pups to roam. It is close to the highway, but is a huge park, so request a site on the west side of the campground if that bothers you. The highway in no way interfered with our stay. There was not one single motorhome or trailer that had to use blocks to level...sites were all level-- Paved with grass along both sides of each site. They request that you put your trash at the curb as they pick it up each morning at 10AM...that is really a nice touch. There is a large living area with a fireplace that they light each AM. In addition, there are two other large outdoor fire pits that they light each evening...one near the pool, the other overlooks the river. Great place to relax in the evening. We could not believe all there was to offer...lap pool, hot tub, spa (yes you can get a massage), work out room, basketball court, bouche ball court, tetherball, a dog grooming area with a real dog bath tub at waist level, shampoo, etc., available, dryer for the pooch too (cost $5). It was an amazing and very, very clean place. Lassen Volcanic National Forest was 55 minutes away. Great for a day trip. There is even an outlet mall in Red Bluff. We loved this park...and the extra for the sites on the river were worth it!!! The park is new, so the trees are only a couple years old and do not provide much shade at this time, but that's why we have awnings, right? We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Another great location RV resort when traveling on Hwy 5 in northern California. We used to stay at various parks in Redding, but we will stay here from now on. Excellent resort with wide paved roads, concrete sites (somewhat level) and nice grassy areas for the table. We backed right up to the river in a beautiful site. Great helpful staff. Huge clean outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi. Kind of expensive for an overnight stay, but we chose a river site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is a 10 only because we can't rate it a 12! Everything was in superior condition - sites, staff friendliness, lodge facilities, pool, availability of propane. We were passing through on I-5 with reservations for the next week, but would have gladly spent a week at Durango RV. Lassen Volcanic National Park is an hour's drive away. There is shopping and a couple of restaurants within walking distance. We wish this park was part of a chain as we could be looking for the others! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful, clean RV park right off the highway. Great power and water pressure and friendly staff. Lots of ammenities for a decent price. We would love to stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful park, concrete slabs, wonderful view, great amendities. Greeted us with a dog bone for our dog and had a fenced dog run. We will make this our first stop every time with head North off of I-5. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wide paved streets, long concrete pads, well manicured sites, easy on and off I-5. I always stay here when traveling I-5. Great pool and a small dedicated dog area, but the park is on the Sacramento River and you can take a nice long walk along it. Good for big rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a great RV park to stay at on our trip up to Oregon. If this park was located a few miles away from the freeway, we would drive up from Southern California just to stay there. It's was very clean, restrooms, pool and sites! This is not a rustic campground. It's very nicely groomed grass and cement pad sites. The pool was great!! The only thing holding me back from giving this park a 10 is because it's right next to the 5 freeway. So pick sites to the far west of the park together as far away from the freeway as you can. It really didn't bother me to bad, but there is still freeway noise. But besides that it's a great park! Will stay there again next Oregon trip. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a beautiful RV Resort. We always stay a night here at the beginning and the end of our trips when heading north. The facilities are immaculate! We are always greeted in a friendly manner and guided to our site by a golf cart. The pool area is outstanding and is one of the main reasons we stay here. There are gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. Luigi's Italian restaurant is one of our favorites! We will definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is a strong 10. Friendly staff, great sites, excellent security, good location, lots of amenities. WiFi was slow, but a good 4G signal here and I used my phone. Dog areas could use some grass. One of the best parks we have stayed in. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here as family on the first night of a 10 day trip where stayed at 5 different RV parks all over Northern California. This was far and above the nicest of them all and we would love to return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very clean, well run, nice people. They escort you to your site. Very level concrete sites. Only 5 years old. Nice clubhouse, clean restrooms. Very close to highway with associated noise. WiFi spotty at best. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a newer RV park, located alongside the Sacramento River (with walking paths). Sites are immaculate, with level concrete pads separated by carefully manicured bits of lawn. Almost all the sites are pull-through; this park is big-rig friendly. Very clean, very modern. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A weekly rate. A great layout that is well thought out and easy to maneuver in the biggest rigs. Someone did some real planning when this park was designed with facilities placed in strategic locations. The landscaping, architecture, and simple amenities make it pleasant to stay. Utilities are up to spec and convenient. Sites are level, concrete, wide and long. Roads and sidewalks are paved. Staff is very accommodating and keeps the place picture perfect. We were here for 2 weeks and added a third. Supplies and food are within walking distance. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Kids, kids, kids and noise, noise, noise! Why these campground owners don't have an adult section is beyond me. Can`t rate the pool or hot tub because it was full of kids. They say they have a dog leash rule, but I`ve seen big dogs off leash here. If you have a little doggy, avoid this place. Lots of noise from trains, too; you have to wear ear plugs here. You also have to drive through a bad part of town to get to this campground. It is best to just stay on I-5 and just blast by this place. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a true destination RV resort. There is a quality about this resort that you notice the minute you hit the front gates. The park is beautifully landscaped, the spaces are pretty much perfect in every way, and the staff is just awesome! We arrived after a long drive from Washington. We arrived after hours to the gates and were pleased to see a call box to ring security to check us in. The staff is super awesome. We got placed in a spot right next to one of the off-leash dog areas which was convenient for our large dogs. We we then given a quick 1 minute orientation which included the pizza place that delivers and the in-house spa just in case we wanted to book a massage for the morning. Top notch resort all the way. We will stay here anytime we are within driving distance! We camped here in a Motorhome.
As others have said, this is a beautiful resort, with almost every amenity you could wish for. Outdoor recreation includes a lap pool (too cool to use in winter), hot tub, a sport court, bocce ball, horseshoes, and paddle tennis courts. The clubhouse has table tennis and a very small fitness room. There is a walking trail along the river, although it is pretty short. Restrooms are fantastic. Everything is immaculate. That being said, the resort IS on the freeway and there IS traffic noise, although it is not the noisiest stretch of freeway we’ve been on. There is also a train across the river probably about a half mile away. And the helicopters. What was up with the helicopters flying around until midnight? We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Have stayed here several times in transit from Oregon to Calif. Excellent CG. Friendly staff, paved, level sites, cable TV, hot tub, clean facilities, excellent utilities. Easily accessible sites especially for big rigs. Always a treat to stay here. $$$$ but worth it after a long day of driving. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The grounds are immaculate. The pads are concrete and level with a grassy yard and nice picnic table. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Proximity to restaurants and grocery shopping was a treat (no toad). We will be back! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent park like no other I have stayed. Level concrete pads with lush lawns. Most sites allow for back in or head in parking. One of the nicest locations on Sacramento River, with shopping and dining nearby. Fountains and River mask freeway noise, which runs parallel to the park. Highly recommend this park and it's very modern facilities, state of art hookups, dog wash, pet friendly. Gated and plenty of 24 hour security. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our rate was based on staying a week. We were escorted to a beautiful site on the side away from the highway, there is almost no traffic noise and you can hear none from inside your rig. THIS IS A TRUE RESORT. Beautiful grounds, blacktop roads, concrete pads nice grass areas in between and well spaced. Very well laid out park, easy to get in and out of in the largest of rigs. The Recreation area includes a basketball court, putting green, the biggest swimming pool we have seen in ANY RV park, an in ground hot tube at least 15' across, the pool area also has a gas outside fire-pit which is on every evening. The rec room which is very large, has 3 big screen TV's and a gas fireplace which also opens to the pool area. Park has very nice and clean restrooms, showers and laundry room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also got about 70 TV channels and great working Wi-Fi. YES: we will recommend this park and stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is by far one of the best facilities we have stayed at. The place is beautiful. The sites are concrete, level, wide, and have grass areas between sites. Our site was extra long - we have a 45' Motorhome and could have put another 45' RV behind us. The entire park is easy to navigate. If you were traveling with friends they have buddy sites so you can face each other. The hosts were friendly and professional. It is everything their advertising says. We have dogs and they have a dog wash which we used; it was great! The only downside is that it is next to I5 and has traffic noise and there is railroad traffic that goes through town. I would stay here again if we ever go this way again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a professionally well managed operation, a standard few achieve. Well designed for all types of vehicles with amenities and customer service worthy of the 'resort' status. Located next to I-5 may be an issue for some, but I wasn't bothered, so I stayed more than a week in my travel trailer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a nice park, convenient to the interstate. There was some highway noise noticeable mostly at night. There was a nice swimming pool and a self use dog wash. Very pet friendly. This is a gated campground. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wonderful RV Park in Red Bluff, California and we extended our stay to a month. We took advantage of the fishing and wonderful amenities at Durango. The staff is so helpful and we could not have asked for more. We stayed here in a fifth wheel and had plenty of space for our truck as well. We will be back and look forward to next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is one of best parks we've stayed in. Staff was excellent and guide you to your site. Most of the sites are very large pull through which can accommodate the largest rigs and toads without an issue. You have a choice of which side to hook-up your services. Everything in this park is first rate. The pool is large and the common areas well appointed and clean as were the washroom areas which were located at two ends of the park. I look forward to staying here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a great RV Park. The sites are large, level, and spotless. The restrooms are immaculate. The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay great. Although we did not use the other recreational facilities here, there are lots of things to do. They even have curb side trash collection. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice, upscale resort. The pool is great and the restrooms and showers are super clean. Bear in mind it's right next to I-5 so noise is significant, especially when sleeping in a tent trailer. Also, the trees are very young; hence, there's no shade. And when temperatures are over 100F, it's an adventure. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Awesome! Loved this park, too bad I was on a tight schedule because I would have stayed longer. A true resort; pool is big, great hottub, plenty of walking space in the park and along the Sacramento River. The sites are pull throughs primarily, long and wide. Very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent RV Resort. Most are pull through sites. Staff are very helpful in helping you direct you to your site and answering any questions about the surrounding area. We traveled a long distance and didn't want to unhook for an overnight stay. The girls at the office told us about an Italian restaurant that delivers with a 10% discount if you say your staying at Durango's. Great food. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We always stay at this park when we are heading to Oregon. It is immaculate and the staff are extremely helpful. It is very quiet and it is walking distance to eateries and stores. Each concrete RV site is very large and can easily accommodate a big rig (we have a 38 foot motorhome with a tow vehicle). Their pool is great and cool when the weather turns hot. Lots of amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an excellent park/resort. Great facilities and everyone was helpful and polite. We didn't find much to do in Red Bluff. The golf course is poor and bike trails limited. We did drive to Chico, CA, where there was plenty to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of our favorite places to stay when traveling through Red Bluff. This park is beautiful and staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this park when your in the area. I don't think you will be disappointed. We stayed here in a 40 ft. Beaver RV with a tow car and had plenty of room to maneuver. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park offered everything it advertised. The directions were perfect and easy to follow. Clean, clean, clean! Friendly and helpful camp hosts. Large, level, concrete sites. The only downer is that it is located right on I-5 and therefore has lots of traffic noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were here for Memorial Day weekend. We made the reservation 2 months ahead of time. We had a wonderful time here. They had a large number of activities to partake in this weekend. There were hot dogs, a band, sports competitions, just all sorts of stuff to do! We have been here twice before and love this resort. The only reason we didn't give them a 10 is because their WI-FI doesn't have enough IP addresses for all of the various wireless devices 200 rigs brings on a weekend like this. Other than that, we love this place! We will definitely come back again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Made reservations three months prior to stay and there was no mention that site selected would be on top of the freeway. They said they were totally booked. But half the sites were empty and they would not move us. Site was full of leaves and sticks so had to sweep it ourselves. Table was dirty and sticky. Another thing you have to do yourself. Lawn had not been mowed in some time. Would have left but had a commitment in town. This could be a nice place, but they are not customer friendly or thinking of quality services. For this price I would have expected better. The noise from the freeway is terrible of the east side of park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great facilities, nice setting and friendly staff. This resort caters to the higher end RVs as witnessed by the very large number of enormous motor homes. The only complaint we had was yappy little dogs staying nearby - just about anything set them off. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Easy access from I-5. VERY nice park. Truly outstanding RV park with riverfront spaces, fountain spaces, and excellent amenities. Pool is great. Absolutely one of the nicest places to stay in the area. Will certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautiful place to stay. The river front spots are more money, but you can pull straight in and see the river from your front window. The only challenge was the freeway noise. Oh sure you can block it out but it is still there. Great facility for a group. Lots of open space and room for big rigs... with grass for each unit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice New Park however very noisy from freeway noise. Friendly staff directed us to our site. Way over priced for the river sites. Too many storage units all around. At first I thought the park was about full; however, it was just storage. There is no shade the park because it is only about 2 years old. I prefer the Mom and Pop parks not the corporate or casino owned type. I would not stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
From the moment you are greeted at the front desk, you immediately think "this is going to be great." The staff is very friendly and anxious to help you with sights to see, directions and most anything you need. The staff escorts you to your site and makes sure you know everything about the park and hook-ups. The park is very new: 2 years I think. It's beautiful. Trees are still growing, so not a lot of shade. Otherwise, the place is beautiful. All of the amenities you would hope for and two nice clubhouses for groups. Two small fenced dog areas. I can't say enough good things about Durango. You will be very pleased! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park. The staff was friendly. The pads are level. The Wi-Fi was strong. The park is gated which is good as the neighborhood is a little scruffy Please note: To enter the park you must go through a shopping center past the Shari's restaurant and turn left. The park will be on the right. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an absolutely perfect spot we started by spending one week, then stayed for a month. Staff is very helpful, friendly and very accommodating. The park itself is large and spacious. The only two negatives (1) for us light sleepers was the distant train and highway noise.(2) When the park fill up the Wi-Fi was slow, and at times not available. This is on our list of return its is such a nice RV park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Exemplary RV park. Paved level sites, easy entry and egress, although finding the park from I-5 can be a little challenging. Great utilities. Outdoor pool and hot tub. Spacious rest rooms. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is the second time we've stayed at Durango RV Resort. Both times have been perfect. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. Facilities are spotless. I would recommend this Resort to everyone whether for overnight or a longer stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The river is beautiful. They know how to make a resort. Lots of room for the slides and even picnic tables for you to enjoy the view. They even have fountains that are in beautiful ponds but no fish in the ponds. The staff is the best. They are very helpful with nice smiles all the time. A sign of good management. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
As others have said this is a very, very nice park! Pulling in, the park looks more like a small country club than a RV park. The check in is in a very large, nice building with three woman all in semi-uniforms with name tags checking campers in. You're led to your spot by a staffer in an electric cart, everything works perfectly, the spots are level and clean with enough room for my 28' trailer and 20' long truck. We've already made reservations here for our next trip. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is by far the best camp we have been in lately. The sites are large, easy to get into, and has a picnic table and grassy area at each site. Good power and water pressure. Internet works great, cable TV has about 100 channels. The main lodge building is nice with TV and fitness machines. The laundry is clean and the hot tub is awesome! Big enough for 11 but I'm usually the only one there. The staff is very friendly, helpful and guides you to your site. I hope to get to this area again and will definitely stay here again. This rate is for a pull-through site with AAA discount. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an immaculate, Dog-friendly, well-laid out park with amazing facilities; two clubhouses, nice swimming pool, and good-sized Jacuzzi. Very friendly staff that escorts you to your site and makes sure everything is alright. We have been to this resort twice this year; once with our Good Sam Group and this last time with some friends. The only drawback for us were the employees of some local Power Company who were camped across from us...4 or 5 families and down another row were more of the same company trucks. They start work very early, and they start their company DIESEL trucks with the lights shining directly into our bedroom window. They were noisy and left their trucks running for what seemed like 15 minutes. And this was between 5:00 and 5:30 AM!!! We felt like the Durango staff should have put ALL the power company workers in the same area right next to the freeway and NOT intermixed with other RV's. I would give it a big 10 if it were not for the noise and inconsideration of the Power Company employees that camp here with their families while they go off to work every day. That is just totally inconsiderate and will keep us from coming back. We camped here in one of the 'Buddy Sites' with our friends next to us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Everything you'd expect of a 5 star RV resort, you'll find here. It's beautiful, well equipped and well laid out. We always stay here on our annual migration from the Pacific Northwest to the warmer winter weather in southern California. I recommend this park without reservation, although you should have reservations if you plan to stay here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an immaculate, well-laid out park with amazing facilities; a clubhouse, swimming pool, and spa. Very friendly staff that escorts you to the site and makes sure everything is alright. We have used this park several times for an overnight. The only drawback is that it is right on Interstate 5 and is very noisy all night; if you leave the windows closed and the air conditioning or fan on, it is not too bad. They also recycle and pick up your trash at your site. I would give it a big 10 if it were not for the noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Best maintained RV site I have stayed in the 5 years I have had an RV. Lap pool and spa are great but hardly used during the fall, which is a shame because even on cool days it is fun to use. Seems like workers / people were everywhere helping keep the place up and all were polite and courteous. Need to read directions carefully because when I took the exit off of I-5, my GPS unit had me turn the wrong way off of Center Ave. I arrived during a rain storm and power had gone out all over Red Bluff, including the resort, but the office was still open and obviously had a generator for use to continue checking in guests Once checked in you were escorted to your site. Some sites actually had multiple power stations, so you could either back in or go front in. Only down side is that Red Bluff is not a destination site for me. But I would return just to use the RV resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was the second time we have stayed here. We came here last year. This resort is great. We had a riverview site with grass behind us. That was great for the dogs. The resort is always clean and it is also pretty quiet. The traffic noise is not that bad. The resort is extremely dog friendly. The dogs used the dog washing station and they loved it. (At least that is what they said.). We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice RV park along I-5 in Red Bluff. Facilities are outstanding and very well maintained. Staff at front office is very pleasant and helpful. Escorted to site by staff. Will always stay here when passing through Red Bluff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is spotless and the staff are extremely welcoming. We had a problem with our windshield and we did not have a car and the staff offered to take us to get the parts we needed and loaned us a ladder to to fix it. The park is walking distance to restaurants, drug store, grocery store, nail & hair salon. The spaces are large and flat. The pool is beautiful and the walk along the river is a bonus. I can't say enough good things about this park. We will definitely be back, only not in mid-August. The only complaint - It was 103 degrees, and there was nothing the staff could do about that. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here on our way home from Oregon. Did not have a reservation, so called the night number. Met at the gate by the night person and escorted to a site. Interaction with all of the staff was great, very helpful. Grounds and facilities were immaculate. The clubhouse is beautiful, the pool looked inviting although we did not use it. The showers and restrooms were spotless. They have a small dog park for exercising dogs along with trails that go down by the Sacramento river, with plenty of waste stations available. The spaces were wide, concrete, with large grass strips between each space. Will definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We’ve been going cross country for three years and visited 44 states. This is by far the nicest campground we’ve stayed in thus far. It has all the luxuries one could want. This is definitely a resort. Staff is very helpful and professional. All buildings and entrance wall have a brick face. Security gate is black rod iron. It has three gorgeous “dancing” fountains and a large club house. It also has a lap pool, sports court, putting green, gas fire pits, etc. It has underground sprinklers, expanded cable (over 50 channels), 2 separate buildings for showers and laundry - both extremely spotless. It has several dog walks and even has a dog wash area (shampoo, flea and tick, conditioner, rinse, etc). All sites have a double concrete pad and grass between sites. They also have sites on the Sacramento River. Trash is picked up daily at your site. The only negative is you can hear highway noise. I’m willing to put up with the noise to get these amenities. Manager's special was $30 per night with a minimum of a 3 night stay. We visited Lassen Volcanic NP during our stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is absolutely the very best RV park for a 1-3 day stay west of Birmingham, Alabama (haven't been East of there). It has all the amenities, friendliness, maneuverability, and cleanliness one could imagine. The only problem is finding it off the freeway, the city won't let them provide direction signs, so look for aluminum sign on a flagstone wall underneath another sign. The effort is truly worth it. Great place. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is exactly what we were looking for. Clean, easy to access sites, river running nearby, lawn, pool. Very friendly, helpful staff. We will camp at Durango again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park was the perfect place to end our road trip. It's luxurious and beautiful. Gorgeous club house, outdoor pool, outdoor fireplace, two fire pits, "dancing" fountains. Our "backyard" was the Sacramento River. The park is three years old and will be outstanding once the trees mature. We were personally escorted to our site and were assisted with backing in. When I went to their store to buy ice, I was offered a ride back to my site. Trash is picked up daily by staff. Fun, organized activities. Level, clean cement pads for RVs. Pet wash area, RV wash area, modern restrooms, showers, and laundry room. We even heard an ice cream truck come in. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Top notch, 1st class: hands down best park we have stayed at in this area. The staff is great, the service is great. The pad 35'x75' made our pull-through for one night a breeze. Would never plan to pass by without staying here again. Can't say enough about the park except please build one in Oregon on a lake. Pie in the sky thought. Thanks. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
What a beautiful park. Very clean, with nice level concrete sites and grass in between. Park is relatively new so the trees are not very mature yet, but eventually will provide shade. Staff was helpful and friendly. Access from I5 was easy and the entry is gated. Lovely walking trail along the river. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Had to take off one point for the slow, but easily accessible, Wi-Fi. Otherwise, the park is fabulous! After getting off I-5, we mistakenly drove through a shopping center, instead of going the way we were supposed to. However, that still worked. You just end up right at the front entrance when you get through the shopping center - which is easy walking distance from the park, by the way. There is a Food Max, CVS Pharmacy, Round Table Pizza, and a restaurant a few minute walk from the park. The park has a gated entrance, and friendly staff greet you at their very nice check in facility. Another staff escorts you personally to your site. I asked to see a park map and perhaps select a site that suited us best. The staff readily supplied the park map, and I picked out the site that was perfect for us. Imagine that, an RV park that actually lets the guests select the site that suits them best rather than randomly assigning one? The huge pool is sparkling clean and well suited for kids as the deepest part is 4' and there were side-to-side steps at one end of the pool in 2' of water. Very nice if you have a baby. There's also a spa, that I didn't use, but my husband said was very nice and very hot. In the evening the staff light a huge fire pit near the pool where guests can sit around with plenty of wooden settees. The entire pool complex is part of the recreation building - which is beautiful. There are huge over-stuffed leather sofas and chairs throughout the rec room with a huge rock fireplace, a large flat panel TV, private his/hers restrooms, and even a small exercise room with a couple treadmills in there and another flat panel TV. There's also a very nice laundry room and guests bathrooms/showers as part of this main complex. The bathrooms and showers are immaculate and plentiful. There seems to always be staff around somewhere constantly straightening things up and greeting you with a smile and asking if they can help you with anything. My husband walked some on the paved bike/nature trail and said it was wonderful. Kids were happily riding their bikes and scooters around the nice wide paved streets. I loved the CLEAN concrete pads - which were totally level and the grass between each site. There is also curbside trash pick up each day. There are many other amenities that we didn't even get to see; we were just happy to relax in the heated pool. All the utilities worked superbly, except for the Wi-Fi being typically slow. Although, it wasn't as slow as many of the other parks we've been in. It is impossible to think you will watch any streaming video through a wireless connection. There was a computer provided in the rec room at a desk. I didn't use it. Perhaps it would have been much faster. At any rate, I would highly recommend this resort. It is everything, and more, that their gorgeous website represents it to be. Imagine that, truth in advertising? How refreshing! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV Resort is wonderful!!! Staff is friendly, knowledgable and most of all, very responsive!!! Resort is peaceful and kept immaculate, pool was clean. Sites were perfect with both cement pad and, well maintained lawn area with each site. Can't wait for the trees to get a bit larger so that when we go again. And we definitely plan on staying here again. It will be nice in the summer months to have some shade trees. Thanks again, great experience! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was our second stay here. We will keep returning here as long as we are passing through the area. Sites are big, lots of activities for the kids, access to the river, and store within walking distance. We used this campground as a base to Lassen NP as well. You have access to a computer if needed in, and the best part for this hot area, a big room with AC. The pool was refreshing this time due to cooler weather, but when it gets hot, the pool is also hot. The only beef I have with this place, is that they charge to use one of their BBQ's and there is no place to make smores. They do not allow food at their fire pits. Oh well, I have my own BBQ and it is usually too hot to enjoy a fire. The walk along the river was nice. We also biked the same area. We will return again when traveling I-5 through California. I hope they keep the prices reasonable since they have gone up from last year. It was nice to see more people using this resort. However, more full timers also, but they are clean full timers. Happy and safe travels to all of you out there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The only reason I didn't give this a 10 was that there's really no shade anywhere, and it was blazing hot over the Fourth of July. The place is so new the trees are still tiny. I'd also love to see a playground for the kids, but everything else was top notch. Sparkling pool, beautiful lodge, cement pads, and well tended grass around each spot. The staff could not have been friendlier. They even have a dog wash area which is just like a do-it-yourself car wash. You put your quarters in, choose soap or rinse, but you spray down the dog instead of your car! Yes, this is adjacent to the highway and you do hear traffic noise, but honestly, after an hour I tuned it out and never noticed it again. There are stores and restaurants within a 5 minute walk if you don't feel like cooking or forgot anything important. You can fish in the Sacramento River although we never caught anything, but it was fun trying. I would absolutely stay here again if you're into a luxurious experience. I even got a massage on site! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beautifully run, spotlessly clean, very level, generous pull through spots. Huge beautiful pool, the whole resort looked more like an upscale spa than an RV Park! Couldn't have been nicer. Would definitely return if in the area. Can't get any better than this one! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the second time we have stayed in this park. We stayed here for three nights. Everything about this park is first class. There are large wide, long, level pull through spots, excellent Wi-Fi and an extremely friendly staff. The only negatives such as the noise from Highway 5 or the passing trains do not detract from the park. Unlike many parks, Durango does not charge extra for dogs. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The pool was warm due to the weather but the water did not burn my eyes or have the typical chlorine smell. I would not hesitate to stay in this park again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Everything about this park was top notch. The only 'con' is that it is right next to the I-5 so there was a lot of freeway noise. The pool was glorious (if a little warm) and the staff was excellent. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park is extremely clean and well maintained. Great pool and spa and very nice sites with utilities available for each site on both sides. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only improvement we would like to see is that they do a daily garbage pickup by 10 AM and there is really no way to throw anything away except for that pickup which is kind of inconvenient. Overall an excellent experience and highly recommended. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here 3 nights total on a trip from Oregon to CA and return. Beautiful park, top notch. Just a tiny amount of freeway and train noise. Fenced dog area could use a shade tree and perhaps a patch of lawn. Park is nicely landscaped, table next to pull-through spot, good lighting. Son used the pool, spa, and sports court (basketball). There is also a putting green. Very nice lodge building. Escorted to our spot. After-hours security code required at front gate. Good Wi-Fi and cable. Can easily walk to nearby strip mall with larger grocery store. Would definitely return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I have been RVing for 32 years and Durango is now one of my top five. My site was very spacious in all directions and the landscaping is worthy of appearing in Sunset magazine. The office staff treated us like "family" during our stay. WiFi and cable TV were above average and the dog park was our Beagle's favorite hangout. Although this resort is 200 miles from home and gas was over $4, we more than received value for our investment. We stayed a week and plan on returning in the Fall for at least two weeks. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The Sacramento River area from Red Bluff to Redding is beautiful in the Spring and Durango is a great RV park to see it from. The park is extremely well maintained, clean, safe, and friendly. We would definitely stay here again, even though it is a bit pricey. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Their website states they have a bunch of acreage available for 'off leash dog walking'. This is true BUT there are homeless camps all over this area. We saw the sheriff down there cleaning some up, but still encountered at least two people everyday. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I don't give 10's easily, but this is one of the nicest parks we've stayed at, anywhere. And we're fulltimers, and get around. We make our travel plans to stay here anytime we get to the coast. Reasonable rates, friendly park, great location, and superb facilities. If it wasn't for some (repeat: some, but not bothersome) highway noise I'd rate this a 10 1/2. We camped here in a Motorhome.
State of the art. This Park is a superb way to end a vacation. We traveled 100 miles out of our way to stay here. So happy we did, stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it all. Thank you for a nice stay. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed 3 nights for Red Bluff Round-Up (rodeo) in April 2011. Park is located next to I-5 & CA36. Very convenient for walking to market, restaurants, and downtown businesses. Fairgrounds is 1.8 miles. Great amenities; friendly staff, secure location. Super clean. Rate shown is AAA rate including taxes. I will definitely return to this park! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have stayed at Durango on our way to and from Arizona since they opened and thoroughly enjoyed our stays. Today we pulled into our site and were greeted by barking dogs on three sides of us! We talked with the managers, and they handled the matter promptly. We had a quiet night, and will ask to be placed away from dogs in the future. The managers said they will also mark our record about our preference and will be more aware. Additionally, they will try to place rigs according to pet(s) on board vs no pets on board. If people are going to have dogs, they have to at least be as smart as the animals and considerate of those who choose not to have an animal. There were several open spaces. One of those without dogs nearby should have been suggested. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was our "maiden voyage" in our first rig. Durango RV Resort is a beautiful RV park. The grounds are beautifully maintained; the facilities are top notch. There isn't any shade on the sites yet; however, the trees just haven't had a chance to mature. So it will have lots of shade when they do. Staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The grounds offer places to take your dogs, whether just a short walk to go potty, to acres to let them run! Our two labs loved it; however, I think they were glad to get home so they could get a rest. This park is a definite MUST, if you're planning to stay in the area! We will be back and probably VERY soon! Thank you Durango for making our maiden voyage so wonderful! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I would rate this as a 10 if it wasn't for the road and train noise. Close to I-5. We are light sleepers, however the freeway noise is pretty constant so you can sleep through most of it. There is a bump on the road as the freeway crosses a bridge: trucks make a clanking noise as they hit it. Also, there is a train track nearby: in the dead of the night the whistle seems pretty loud. Very clean, and super friendly staff. They pick up your bagged trash each morning and if you ask, they will allow you to wash your rig. I would definitely stay here again as I travel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Can't add too much more. Did wash the dog in the $5.00 dog wash: that includes everything but the dog. It's worth the drive to Durango just to experience this wonderful RV park, (and to wash the dog, heh heh). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A fairly new RV park that is right beside Highway 5. Easy access to get to and from the park. The closer you get to the highway the more intense the noise gets. However, this is a very nice park. Well laid out with lots of room to get in and out of the spaces (predominantly pull-through sites). Most of the RV's staying here use the park to stay over night, and then keep on moving the next day. No organized activities. The pool is not heated in the winter months. However, it must be well used in the warmer months. The park is well laid out with cement pads (grass between). Red Bluff is a small town for working persons. All of the stores are close by. And gas stations, away from the highway, that don't charge you a premium for using your credit card. We stayed here for one week. Again, it is best to pay for one night before buying a longer stay. We definitely will use this park again when traveling up or down Highway 5. We stayed here in one of their pull-through sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a new park, and they did it right. Paved roads, long and wide concrete pads, picnic tables, and grass at each site. The facilities are great, and the hosts were friendly. We would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Wonderful place to stay for the price, will return whenever I am in the area. Great amenities, wonderful staff, great location. Very convenient to I-5 in either direction. Highly recommend this resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. This was a RON for one night, traveling down from Oregon. Everything was pristine. Great dog walking area under the I-5 overpass for the park. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to food and shopping if you need that. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
Would have been as everything including the staff were first class. The only negative was one camper with 3 large Rottweilers. They were very near the dog potty area. They were kept outside the unit and were aggressive acting but tied up. We handled it by not going near the unit and taking our two small dogs elsewhere to do their business. Surprised me a park this nice would allow, as many parks are not allowing the large aggressive breeds. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is one of the nicest parks we have ever stayed at. Excellent facilities with some ponds and fountains. Sites were very large. WI-FI worked great. It was a chilly night when we stayed there. They had a nice gas fire pit going in the pool area. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were here with a group and we have never been treated so well. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Kristin And Bea were so helpful throughout our process of booking the trip and having the camp out. The accommodations here are Al. We are planning on having another outing here next year as well. Thanks so much to all the staff at Durango. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is hard to beat. I would rate it as the best park we visited on a 2 month trip through the West. Plenty of room, concrete pads, level, clean, new, and modern. Excellent Wi-Fi. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great RV park located on the Sacramento river. Some sites overlooking the river with river trail. Very nicely maintained park. Pet friendly. Nice pool, laundry facilities. Good WiFi and cable TV. Very nice staff. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here in a 30 foot travel trailer. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days. Most of the sites were long wide, pull through concrete sites. Our site was level and approximately 75 feet long. There was well maintained grass on both sides of the concrete pad. All the interior roads were composed of asphalt and easy to travel for big rigs. The cable TV had numerous analog and digital channels. The WI-FI was excellent. The swimming pool, spa, club house and outdoor gas fire place were all exceptionally clean and first rate. There was a nice path that led down to the Sacramento River. The path provided access to hiking trails and provided nice places to walk our dog. The staff was very friendly upon check in. They gave us a cookie for our dog. They made an excellent recommendation for restaurant that could accommodate our trailer club. Every staff member we contacted was friendly and offered to provide any assistance we needed. I would definitely stay here again We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
One of the two nicest RV parks in which I've ever stayed. Something here for everyone. It's an easy on/off California I-5. All the sites looked like they were pull-through and the park was kept very clean. Wi-Fi was very fast. I don't require much more. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The facilities are second to none. The walk along the river is something we really look forward to and so do our dogs! Definitely pet friendly as they greet you with dog treats. The place we stayed at just before Durango charged us $10 per day for our dogs and they didn't have a place to walk them, nor dog clean-up bags! It's an excellent place to stay for a visit to the Red Bluff area but especially nice if you are transitioning to another location. Great staff, beautiful grounds, very relaxing! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was an amazing park! It was extremely clean, and the staff was very friendly. The pool was large, and clean. It didn't look like there were permanent residents, and you could tell. It felt like we were in an upscale resort. They cater to campers with dogs: they have a nice dog run and even give them little treats when you check in. We would definitely camp here again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
What an oasis right on I-5. We really enjoyed our stay at Durango. The staff was super and the park was beautiful. I used the washers and dryers and was impressed. Everything was TOP NOTCH. Thank you. We will return in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park. They actually have pet areas you can use. Very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Spots are level with a nice grassy area with each site. This is the second time we stayed here and will definitely come back again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Can't say a thing bad about this park except that it's not located EVERYWHERE I go. Staff is friendly. Sites are nice sized, clean, grass is manicured and hook ups are convenient and in great shape. Streets are nice even blacktop and wide enough for the largest rig/combo. It IS close to the Interstate. We had no problem with the noise in #139. Thank you to all previous reviewers who steered us to this park. We will probably plan our next trip North/South so that we can stop here again. Rate reflects 10% AAA discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a fantastic campground. Cement level sites, top notch electrical and water. Also the pool, hot tub and community rooms were great. Nice location, near stores, interstate and attractions. Also the night time community camp fires were nice. The only thing was, I wish they had mentioned some ant problems at the time of arrival, this would have eliminated a lot of clean up and monitoring of our RV during the stay. Durango did spray but only after we got the ants inside our RV through the water hose and cable. Others also near by later would have the problem and I had to mention how I solved the problem by Durango spraying and me also spraying daily until the last of the ants were gone. BUT minus the ants and I will return in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park was excellent. The personnel were very pleasant and helpful. All employees were friendly and when they came by the camp site always asked if everything was alright and if we needed anything. The grounds were impeccable and we stayed on the west side in a river site that was great. Nice grassed area with great view. The traffic noise was not bothering as we live in an RV park which is next to a freeway. We are used to it so it made no difference. The car wash area was a great feature. They did a great job of washing our rig and we would recommend to anyone: reasonable rates and a caring young man. This is a great campground and we intend to visit many more times. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here in August and the weather was on the warmer side. The park was everything and more. Excellent layout. Beautiful grounds. Very inviting pool. The only negative the road noise from the adjoining freeway. If you are going to stay in this park, ask for the west side. You will be further away from the freeway noise. If it were not for the noise I would have rated this park a 10. Yes we will stay here again but on the west side of the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the best RV parks we've stayed at. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Park is well maintained and clean. This is a new park so when the trees mature it will make staying in the summer more enjoyable. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Absolutely loved the park! Had a river front spot. Staff is very friendly. Place is very clean. Nice big pool. Quiet and friendly environment all throughout. Coffee always available in the office during business hours. Walked to CVS and bought a fishing pole and took my girls fishing for the first time. Afterwards, we sat around the fire pit that the resort turns on at night. Very relaxing. Looking forward to returning next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here several times. It is by far one of the best parks we have used. It is clear that it was designed by someone who knows what RVers need and want. All the staff are helpful and friendly and the grounds are lovely. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a wonderful resort. There are 11 river sites at can be backed into for trailers, or driven straight in for motorhomes. There is a utility tower with cable, water and electricity on both sides for easy use. Great TV stations, terrific WiFi and you can wash your RV at your site. The park has two different rates: one for the river and one for the fountain sites that are pull through and back in. They have another site where you can wash your tow vehicle or truck, plus a special place to wash your pets too. Has two separete laundry facilities, swimming pool, spa, basketball court, putting green and other outdoor games. Trash is picked up each morning before 10 o'clock, just set it out by the street and they will pick it up. The clubhouse is huge with a beautiful fireplace and comfy leather chairs that would be nice in the winter time. This is a gated RV resort which we like since it makes your things more secure. It's also nice that they don't allow skateboards and generators. The office staff said they are going to build 2 more resorts, one in Avila near Pismo Beach and the other one by Clear Lake by Cloverdale. This way when you can stay at this resort on I-5 or stay at the resort by Clear Lake on your way from the Oregon or Northern California coast. The Avila resort will be terraced on a hill by the Port of Avila so everyone will get an ocean view. Can't wait until they are finished. They have a discount card you can purchase for 2 years or stay a week and pay for 6 days and get the 7th one free. Many, many restaurants close by plus a large grocery store right across the stree from the entrance. We will definitely stay here again. Super friendly office help and people who escort you to your space. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a gorgeous new park right on the Sacramento River. Beautiful facilities, fully paved easy access to sites, I have no complaints at all. Well, the entrance may be a bit tricky to get to, but that is really minor. There is a full supermarket and some restaurants right next door, very handy, but they in no way impact the quietness and serenity of your stay. I highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place has the potential to be great. GPS may take you through the Food Maxx parking lot, but you can still get here from any street that goes around the shopping center. Check-in was no problem and the staff friendly. Everything was clean and well maintained. Sites big and long. Did not have to unhook in the pull-through site. The only thing that keeps this place from being full of campers, is the heat. Boy is it hot in Red Bluff in the summer. The place was about a quarter full by the close of the gates (yes they do close the front gate at night 8PM). Pool was nice but was a little hammered from the heat and use. Clubhouse was nice with a TV and computer to use in the cool air conditioning. Restroom and conference building by the river was clean and cool. Gas fire pits next to this building and the pool, but not appealing at 106. I could not really suggest the riverfront sites or the fountain sites. Not really worth the extra money. Lots of stuff for the kids to do here, just too hot. Store was stocked with what you needed, or a short walk to the Food Maxx and restaurants. The shopping area was not doing that well, but had the essentials. We would stay here again if in the area. I would like to try the resort when it is cooler. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Love this place. We would come here again and again even tho we were right by a major freeway, the campsite is so well worth it. Can't wait for the other 2 new campgrounds to be constructed. We will definitely go to the one in Avila and come back to Red Bluff. Thank you for a beautiful warm stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice RV park. We were just traveling through so we only stayed one night. Would enjoy staying there longer, if we're ever in the area again. Very friendly staff. And I thought the dog treat we received for our dogs at check-in was very nice. We liked the long pull through sites so we didn't have to unhook our trailer for the overnight stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a large, deluxe park. The pads are concrete, made for big rigs, and level. Landscaped between pads, cement walk ways, 3 fountains, deluxe pool, access to the river, obviously a very large investment in facilities. Plenty of staff on hand, all willing to give a helping hand. Golf cart leads camper to their spot. Park secured by locked gate (keycode access, which they change periodically); after hours check-in available with squak box or pre-arrangement (enables one to get through the gate). My only wish is that they made parks like this in a destination spot rather than someplace I can't see myself staying for more than 1 night (Interstate 5 stop-over). The parks been open for 2 years. There weren't a lot of campers here. It's a shame. This parks a 10. But, without more campers, I don't see how it can stay in business. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here for one night. Very nice RV Resort, it's well taken care of. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Located right off I-5 so you get a little noise but not bad. They are right on the Sacramento River which was nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV campground keeps it simple and does it well. Friendly service and level sites. Not much to do here other than the swimming pool, but it's a great place to stay over when passing through. Grocery store, CVS, and Round Table Pizza all right next door and an easy walk. Warm in the Summer. It was 102 during our visit in July and too hot to use their basketball court. Water spigots are too short for many standard drinking hoses that have a wide wingnut connector. Had to walk back to office to get an extender. One of the umbrellas at a table by the pool was clearly broken and in need of replacement. WiFi had a strong signal but I had intermittent internet connection problems. Otherwise, the experience was positive. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nicest RV resort we have been in that has not been a buy into. Everything was wonderful. Beautiful club house, pool, walk by the river, people. Just couldn't ask for better. We took the $30.00 side as we could see the spot was not next to highway, so not a problem with highway noise. Other side of club house is a bit more $, but not much. Will always stay at this resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a fabulous resort! We stayed here for just one night on our way to Disneyland, but would have stayed longer if we had the time. It is newer and has great amenities. The sites are spacious with grass on either side. The pool is really large and was great to take advantage of during our stop as it was 90 degrees. The whole park is really well landscaped and maintained. The staff was super friendly and provided an escort to our site. There is also a nice little path along the Sacramento River that was great to take the kids to burn off a little energy after dinner. I would definitely recommend staying here: the rates are super reasonable! We will definitely plan to stay here again if passing through the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I checked in here back in December 09 and stayed the winter through to July. This is definitely a 5+ star RV resort with 2 club houses, olympic size pool, pet friendly with dog runs and wash, free cable TV and high speed (3MB) WiFi that actually works. The bath rooms and showers are spotless and well maintained, and there is a great friendly staff. Spaces are wide, long and well spaced for privacy. Will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The staff was very friendly and efficient at check-in and they escort you to your site. They make sure everything is OK before leaving. The sites are wide with grass on both sides and concrete pads. The roadways are wide and easily navigated. There are no trees for shade. There are two very nice fenced dog areas. The pool and amenities looked well care-for, but we didn't use them. The sites are long enough to leave your tow vehicle hooked up if you are just staying one night. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a midway stopover on a trip up north so only spent one night. The resort is very clean well laid out. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. One really neat thing was having a great pizza parlor across the street that will deliver to your site, and what a great pizza. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is BY FAR the best RV Resort I've seen ANYWHERE. The amenities are unbelievable. The customer service is remarkable. They guide you to your space with a golf cart, show you the hookups, pick up your garbage. I haven't stayed in a hotel with this kind of attention to the customer and comforts for the traveler. The pool is perfect for kids and adults. The hot tub was great. There's a fire pit with comfy chairs, a lounge with a double-sided (inside/outside) fireplace. I can't wait to go back through town so I can stay there again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We can't say enough good about this park. Only negative would be that it's very close to I-5. Otherwise great place to stay or use as a stop over. Nice people, great sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A true destination RV resort with fabulous facilities and very well-planned sites. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient. We stayed on a river site, which has a nice view of the Sacramento River, but I'm not sure it was worth the premium. It is best, however, to stay on the far west side of the park to minimize the freeway noise. The main clubhouse, pool, spa, outdoor fireplaces are first class. The one negative was the train noise, which woke us up several times each night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The only thing that keeps this resort from rating a 10, is it's proximity to the interstate and resulting road noise. Also, some may find the resort a bit difficult to locate once leaving the interstate. Be sure to follow the directions in your directory or on the website, or you may find yourself in a dead end situation. Once in the park you will have a very pleasant site with all the expected resort amenities. I would pay the extra $ for a site by the river, as they are the best of the best and offer a bit more privacy. We will definitely stay here in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great RV Park. Nice Staff. They lead you to your site. Our site was a bit un-level. Sloped to the front, so front end of motor coach was pretty high. Very nice and large spa and pool. Very clean. WiFi signal was very strong and fast. Small fenced area for dogs to do their thing. Great place to walk your pet along the river. Would have given this resort a 10 if it had a work out facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Durango RV Resort is the nicest park we've stayed in. We very much appreciated the exceptional service received from Staff and Groundskeepers. I've never stayed at an RV Park that was so clean and well kept. I would highly recommend Durango RV Park to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.
My family loved this park!! This was immaculately clean, impeccably groomed and lushly landscaped. We had a waterfront site, which is far enough away so you get no road noise. The view over the river is so relaxing and the sites are easy to get into and out of. Level sites and lots of room between camps. A picnic table was even provided for gas grill and eating outdoors. Loved the clean (heated!) pool and spa, and the gas fireplaces all over the grounds. With the Adirondack chairs surrounding the gas fireplace, it was really nice. I would like to see a playground or something else for the kids to play on, but other than that, it was perfect for the weary traveler who wants to be pampered. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a beautiful park! The people were so friendly and accommodating. The grounds and facilities are gorgeous. We most definitely will stop at this park next time we go to California. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is beautiful. The employees couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The choices for sites are endless. We stayed by the river which was really nice. The sites that backed up to the fountains were beautiful, too. We will definitely return and suggest you go there, too. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our 2nd time here, and again it's all good! Wi-Fi was shaky but they were on it! The grounds are spotless, the gas fire pits are very nice & cozy. GeoCaches in the area. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Durango RV Resort is one of the best campgrounds we've ever had the pleasure to use. All facilities and features were in proper order and the park was spotless. Everyone who wants to build an RV park should visit Durango RV Resort to see how it should be done. The personnel were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for a longer stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The best RV park we have camped in. Everything was first class, from the employee who took us to the site so that we didn't have to search for it, to the curb side garbage pick up. We only stayed one night this time, but will spend more time here next time we come by. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The park itself is beautiful. The showers and bathrooms were nice and clean with tile. The employees were somewhat friendly. But the place was great. Coffee was not great, and they started out the week serving pastries, then stopped? We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
On our drives down to California from Oregon we saw Durango from the freeway and were impressed by how it looked. Finally we were able to time our drives so we could stay at Durango. After exiting the freeway we had a hard time finding how to get to the RV Resort as there were no signs but a shopping mall and a residential area. We arrived after hours so the gate was closed but we managed to get a hold of the front desk, who opened the gate and escorted us to our site. This is such a beautiful RV resort, we were given a huge pull-through spot. We did hear some freeway noise but not bad. The Wi-Fi was free, cable channels were good. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We love this park. We have stayed at 5-Star resorts before, but we think this resort is nicer and better. Extremely dog friendly and super clean also. All the personnel are helpful and very friendly. I would highly recommend this resort. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Absolutely first class. The sites are huge, the staff is professional (even in uniforms) the location is quick: off I-5 in Red Bluff. There is a super dog walk (best ever along the river). Everything is brand new and upscale. Even the Wi-Fi works at 600 down and 600 up. Pizza restaurant next door with delivery. Doesn't get better than this. Enjoy! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is fairly new and well maintained. We look forward to returning in the spring when the weather is nice so we can use the pool. We camped here in a Motorhome.
New, very nice RV Park. The roadside directions put us in a shopping mall parking lot wondering how we were going to get back out of it. Employees friendly and escorted us to our site. Escorting personnel took the time to show us the hookups for our particular site. Very helpful. Very nice stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A beautiful park with very friendly staff: this is one of the cleanest parks we have seen. Only a couple of drawbacks: train noise and traffic from I-5. This park is right next to Interstate 5. I would recommend it and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I saw this campground while driving by in August. What a nice place: fountains, lap pool, fire pits, soft, landscape lighting around the park. Lots to do, friendly staff, etc. The only reason I gave it a nine is that the hot water in the showers takes 3-5 minutes to heat up. Went back again later in the month and will definitely make this a regular stop. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is now our third time staying here. We live less than an hour away, and love this place. A simple weekend getaway to this RV Park always feels like we've been to a true resort. Very clean, with friendly staff, easy site access, pet friendly, and constantly maintained with a high degree of professionalism. We've stayed at many RV parks, and few compare to the quality of this place. Absolutely will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice park. Great reception with valet guide to our spot. We stayed in #116. Level pads with grassy areas between sites. Beautiful pool and hot tub area. We did not check the restrooms or showers outside of the lodge. The restrooms in the lodge were clean, and there was a nice big lounge with games and jig saw puzzles available. There is a nice path to walk down by the Sacramento River. It is not far off the freeway, but we did not hear much noise. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. This was nice for us as we were just staying the night and did not want to unhook. The only reason we are not giving this resort a 10 is due to the train noise. The train went by at about 8:15pm and then again about 4:15am. We were awake at 4:15am as we were getting an early start that morning. Had we not been awake, I don't think we would have heard it. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This RV park is a real gem. So many others could learn some valuable lesson from them. Everything in this park is absolutely PERFECT. I am very picky but could not find anything to complain about here. The staff was friendly, efficient and accommodating and the lots, facilities and amenities are outstanding. They apparently are expanding to other locations so we can't wait! Kudos to the Durango staff and don't give up doing what you do!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Coming from Oregon, we saw this park from the interstate but after exiting the freeway could find no signs to direct us. We went through a shopping center before coming to a gate. One of the nicer parks in California. We were only here overnight. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I loved this park and can't wait to go back! It was very relaxing and even our dog loved it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an outstanding park. The daily rates are outstanding. All the amenities are top of the line and all the resort staff are outstanding. We were here during the storms following the Columbus Day holiday, so we took our wine, snacks and card games to the club house and had a fantastic afternoon. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Fantastic park. New with lots of amenities. Some spaces overlooking the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy access in and out. Lassen Volcanic Natl Park is a scenic 1 hour drive away. Price shown was an upgrade fountain site. Some sites are reversible so you can pull in or back in. A little close to I-5 so ask for spaces at back of resort. Beautiful pool area but wish it had been heated. Ask about their club card for frequent visitor discounts. Will return on our annual journeys. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Absolutely the greatest! Everything you could ask for - service, cleanliness, wonderful sites. When the trees grow it will be even better. Am suggesting this resort to all our RV friends. Just a weekend getaway but would love to have stayed longer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park is one year old. The lay out is great. The common buildings beautiful. Water features nice and there is a fire pit by pool. Level sites and two fenced dog areas. Everything perfect. Will stay again whenever possible. The road noise was not a bother. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We RV a lot and this is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at. Extra wide sites with lawn, large pool area with fire pit, dog runs throughout the park, extra clean and large restrooms and showers. The staff was very friendly. Wi-Fi is available too. We've not really cared to stay at "resorts" before, but this one changed our minds! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was our second stay at Durango and it was over a holiday weekend. The park was beautiful and clean as always. The dog wash station is the best! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a new beautiful RV resort with high standards of cleanliness and a very helpful staff. We have stayed here twice. The second time we had a river front site and noticed some freeway noise, but nothing to prevent our staying in the same site again. We were traveling with our granddaughter, so it would have been nice to have a playground for little kids. Other than the above, we would give it a ten. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a beautiful park, totally paved, level spaces with grass area beside each space. To the left of the entrance is quieter and away from the freeway noise. No shade and Ref Bluff get HOT. Staff was wonderful. Would highly recommend this park. Will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here for the first time as a side trip. Exactly what you'd expect from a brand new luxury RV park. Very clean, very friendly staff, and everything works. However, I gave it a 7 because of the following: Website said they had many acres of walking/hiking trails, but they're actually about a couple hundred yards long, if that. I also took advantage of their dog wash. It worked just like a coin-op car wash, but it was out of shampoo. It took 2 minutes of my time to realize it was empty (kept thinking the suds would eventually start flowing). They have an employee on a golfcart guide you to your spot and into the site, which is nice. We had a river front, back-in site; however we were taken there in a way that required us to go in head first. We were too tired from driving all day to circle back around so we had to unhook and turn around the next morning. If you want your RV/trailer to face a certain direction, be sure and tell them when you check in. You aren't allowed to have any fire pits at your site, but they have outdoor lounge areas with firepits. All in all, it was a very nice place to stay. There's not much to do, if anything, immediately adjacent to the resort, you'd have to drive. It was very hot in August and there aren't any shaded spots. Overall, if you're passing through on the I-5 and need a clean/friendly place to stay, this is worth it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a new park and is really nice. Wide open sites because the trees are still newly planted. The sites are all level and just about every site is a pull-through. The best sites are pull-in's that face the river. Some freeway noise was noticable but it is not that bad. The pool and spa are great. I would recommend this resort. The people were very professional and helpful. They escort you to your site and assists in getting your unit parked. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I will happily give this resort a 10 once the shade trees have "grown" up. It is a beautiful park with large pull through sites. The staff is very nice and helpful. They recognized that we were tired and told us about a local restaurant, Luigis, that was an easy walk from the park. The only thing this park needs to do is advertise more! Easy on and off of I-5. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a top notch resort. A pet wash area ($) is avaiable. Also, rig washing is allowed onsite. The laundry and showers were immaculate. There are sites along the river as well as facing the ponds with fountains but the ponds are quite close to the freeway. There is a lovely path along the river. The pool and club house are beautiful. The sites are very roomy and there is an escort to your site. Everything is grass and concrete. We were requested not to stab yard decorations in the ground because of the sprinkler system. We expessed concern about ants and other critters and they came right out and sprayed "just in case." If you don't have a tow car, grocery shopping and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The only drawback: this place is right on the freeway. The noise is somewhat noticable but certainly doesn't stop normal conversation. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park has been designed to include incredible details that make an RV stay a special treat. My husband particularly enjoyed the on-site massage he scheduled with the front desk. I'm not sure if the dog wash or the pool was my favorite feature. It is truly a beautiful park and should not be missed if you are in the area! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent facility, I would give it a 10 but the noise level from the nearby freeway was very distracting both inside and outside of the RV. We would not stay here again for that reason. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is extremely clean and very nice. We stayed 3 nights. Each site has a level concrete parking slab surrounded by grass and small trees. The site we had faced the water fountains which were illuminated by lights at night. Some sites face the river which is nice also. The pool was clean and well maintained. The temps in Red Bluff, in the summer, can be very hot. So we used the pool a lot. The only small negative with the park is that the freeway is very close and a little noisy. Still not too bad. Grocery store and restaurant within walking distance. The park is more like a resort than an RV park. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park, very clean and well taken care of. The sites are very long and wide. The park is right off the freeway but you do not hear the noise. They are very pet friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have stayed at many RV parks and this is the best overall park we have visited. If we could rate it higher than a 10, we would. The showers and bathrooms were perfectly clean. The layout of the park is excellent with plenty of room for our motor home. The staff and management were the best. We had a wonderful experience and will stay at this park again. The pool and jacuzzi are pristine. The gas fire pits and walking path along the river are a wonderful touch. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Go for the sites by the river the views are exceptional. The cable TV on the property is one of the best we've had to date. The satellite and Verizon air card work well. The sites are pretty level and they have a very cool feature the hook ups are on both side of the rig. There is no shade. The bathrooms have a spa feel. The laundry room is clean. At night, they close the gates and you need an entry code. There is a supermarket, video store, drug store and restaurants within a 5 minute car ride. Bring your boat/kayak definitely a lot of water to explore. We would camp here again!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not only have we stayed here but we also worked here. Great care is taken to make the guest comfortable and happy. Nothing has been spared to make this a top rated resort. From the guests point of view, it is a great destination, with lots of things to do in the area. From the employees point of view, management cares deeply not only for their workers but for the guests total experience. Great place for groups or clubs or for just a little relaxation. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is one of the most beautiful and complete campgrounds we have ever stayed in. Front office is very nice and escort you to your site. We camped at one of the sites on the river with lots of lawn. This place has it all pool, spa, clean laundry facilities, dog wash, RV wash, beautiful rec. room with fireplace, grocery store within walking distance. Highway noise was not an issue for us. We will definitely be back to camp here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a beautiful park. It's very new so the trees are still small and there's no shade from them yet. The pool is very nice and the ponds are pretty. It's an easy location from the freeway and plenty of room to maneuver. If we travel through the area again, we'll definitely stay here! Great value for the money. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. It was hot when we were there (103 degrees). Not only is there a good sized pool (with some adult only hours), there is also a large air conditioned club house with leather sofas, large screen TV, and a soaring gas fireplace. The staff is very accommodating. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
One of the newest campgrounds we stayed at on this trip. Very, very nice park with sites away from highway noise. The Club Room is large and accommodating. The staff is so helpful and great to talk with. Many river sites on premises. A must when traveling in Northern California. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Probably the Best RV park of Northern CA on I-5. Brand new and nothing is spared. Management is very helpful with escort to assigned site. Wi-Fi is very good after you figure out the configuration. Will only be staying here a couple of night but would be a very nice place for a group gathering. Lots of clubhouse space and places to walk along the Sacramento River. Noise from I-5 is not too bad. We stayed at site 114 at the rear of the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The other reviews I have read for this resort are right on the money! The amenities can't be beat! We registered for our stay as a club because there were several of us celebrating family members becoming US citizens. We had approximately 60 people in all. The staff was so accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay an event to remember; and it was! This is our favorite RV park, and we have become regular visitors. We highly recommend it to everyone! Thanks for all your efforts! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice place but they are very picky. Extra charge of $3 per person for over 2 people which gets too expensive for families with teens. The monthly rate is way too high at $525 plus electric which can cost a lot in summer where it gets over 100 degrees regularly. The worst looking site with too much stuff outside belongs to an employee which is odd because no one else could get away with that. We stayed for a month but wouldn't stay that long again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is my first ever 10 rating! We had a premium spot right at the river and it was great. The sites are large, level, and concrete. First time I've been to a site where fivers can back in and motor homes pull in and still get the river view! Landscaping is beautiful, as are all the facilities. It is spotlessly clean and well managed. We'll certainly stay here again. The only minor negative was freeway noise but it was low enough to be covered by running a fan. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed for 11 nights and used our AAA discount. Our spot was a pull-through long enough for our 40 foot RV and our SUV. It was very hot during our stay in Red Bluff and I sure enjoyed the very large swimming pool with 2 lap lanes. The main club house had a computer, large screen TV, gas fireplace, several nice card tables and lots of beautiful leather overstuffed chairs and sofas. Adjacent was a dining area with kitchen for groups. The showers and bathroom were clean, The laundry area was also clean with Maytag appliances. The only down side to this park is its proximity to Interstate 5. While you couldn't hear the highway inside the RV you sure could outside. Nevertheless we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here in our 33 foot 5th wheel for 4 nights during their "Grand Opening" weekend. All of the planned activities had been canceled but we still received a 25% discount. There was a heat wave with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees but never a power problem. The resort was nearly empty most nights so don't know if it would be the same should it ever fill up. Wi-Fi and cable both worked great, staff very friendly and park very clean. It is a new park so all of the trees are very small. The design of the park is perfect for even the largest RV. The biggest negative is the highway noise - but we never heard it unless the windows, vents or doors were open or all was quiet in the RV and we were in the bathroom or near the door. We were on the opposite side of the park from the highway. If highway noise bothers you this park isn't for you. We also heard the train several times but it did not wake either of us. We missed the turn off on East Ave. but were able to drive through the shopping center to the park. Apparently many people don't see the street sign hidden behind a tree and miss it. The road into the shopping center looks like the road you are on and East Ave. looks like an entrance to the shopping center. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a well maintained resort style RV Park with very reasonable rates with all they offer. They don't take Good Sam, but they do take AAA. Long wide sites with easy access. Designated dog areas and well kept. Very friendly staff. Well lit at night with beautiful water fountains. Our only issue was the weekend we stayed here, there was a civil war reenactment nearby, across the river. Our dog didn't like the cannons. We would definitely stay here again. The pool looks spectacular. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We had to stop at this RV resort due to some motorhome problems, they were very helpful, polite and the RV park itself is fabulous, including a dog spa. We will certainly stay here on the way down south next season, but will stay for a week or 2 before heading on. The RV park is spectacular We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a great place to stay. Definitely a resort atmosphere. Beautiful lodge with a fireplace and coffee in the morning. The staff was very friendly and all the amenities were great. The patio overlooking the river was a great place to sit around the firepit and relax in the evening. I can't wait to stop back this summer and enjoy the pool. All the sites have full hook ups and are very roomy. You have beautiful landscaping every where you look. In Red Bluff, who would have thought. Durango did a great job! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a lovely new park, close to Highway 5. They have all amenities, and a nice walking trail along the river. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. It is a good overnight stop if you are travelling, or a nice destination resort to explore the area. The staff is very helpful. Restrooms are immaculate, as is the pool and hot tub. The only distraction is the noise from the freeway. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This beautiful resort has everything -- but is about the noisiest place we have ever stayed. The amenities are terrific -- beautiful large, level concrete sites with well maintained grassy areas between each site. The trees in the landscaping are brand new, but will be quite nice when they grow a bit. Roads are beautifully paved, and wide enough for the biggest big rig. Big pool and spa, indoor meeting rooms, small store, close to stores and restaurants. But it's also right next to Interstate 5. We had to speak very loudly to each other at any time we were outside during daylight hours to be heard over the incessant highway noise. And as an added benefit, right across the river are apparently some railroad tracks, as we were awakened throughout the night by no less than 5 trains. There was a break in the highway noise about 3:00 am, but the trains continued all night. It's really unfortunate that such a lovely resort was so poorly placed. And since the I-5 bridge over the river is elevated, there is absolutely no way this lovely resort could build a sound barrier tall enough to block out the highway din. We are not light sleepers, but the constant noise at this resort will keep us from returning. Too bad. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was an excellent park. It was very clean, and people in charge were very friendly. The pool was beautiful and there was a nice fire pit in pool area. We really were lucky, as there was a wonderful guitar concert in the recreation room. It was a special treat. The location was just off the freeway and very convenient, although there was a little freeway noise. We would give it a 10 if it had an exercise room. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a first-class RV park. Trash and recycling are picked up at your site daily. The staff was very polite, and we were led to our site upon check-in. We are light sleepers, but the noise from the interstate did not bother us at night. Our site, 140, was about midway between the east and west borders of the park. Sites on the east side are close to the interstate. We stayed a week in the park, and will definitely be coming back in the future. For good food and great service, try Shari's (just outside of Durango) and Luigi's (one block from Durango). Asking at the desk will get you permission to wash your rig at your site, but please don't do what our neighbor did. He had obviously driven through snow and slush. When he was through washing his Class A and toad, there were many pounds of road dirt left on the new concrete site pad, which he did not bother to rinse off. When he left the next morning, I hosed off the pad. Being able to wash your rig at your site is rare, and actions like his could spoil it for more considerate RV'ers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an absolutely beautiful park! It is brand new, hence not a lot of shade, but who cares, it is perfect in every way. Very clean, long concrete sites with lots of grassy area with concrete patios. We went for the river sites (pull-in) that are directly on the river with a beautiful water view through your front window. There is a beautiful clubhouse and huge pool and every amenity you would find in a 5 Star resort. The location is very convenient to the 5 freeway, although you really don't hear a lot of noise. This is the consummate RV resort! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stay here at least once a month and plan to stay for two months starting in December. The staff is unsurpassed in both helpfulness and friendliness. The amenities I didn't see listed in other reviews were the computer in the clubhouse for guest use, the putting green and the ability to wash your RV and car/truck as well as your dog! Also no sprinklers to get water spots on your rig or get your lawn chairs wet as they are all underground. Plus, trash pick up is done at your site every morning. This park is also very safe and secure with a keypad coded gate and assistant managers who patrol the park 24/7. If you plan on staying often, get a Durango card as it will save you 10% which is the amount of the occupancy tax. When they say this park is handicapped accessible, it truly is, as it even has a chair at the pool that can lower those who are handicapped into the pool. A new thing they are doing now is serving free coffee and danish in the mornings in the clubhouse. They do charge $3 per person if you have more than 2 adults or guests that spend the night or use the facilities. If you want to stay in a true RV RESORT this is the place! It is our home away from home and we love it, worth every penny! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Wow! We had a lovely riverfront pull in site. We were looking right at the Sacramento River! It was beautiful. The sites are spacious and level. We had plenty of room for our motorhome (38 feet) and room for our toad, with space to spare. The only drawback to this park is the fact that 101 runs along side, so you do have traffic noise. They have planted many trees and shrubs, so once those are matured that should help buffer the sound. We would definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stopped by here on a lark on our way home from a two week road trip. We had originally planned to boondock, but thought this might be a nice stop before the last push home. We are delighted that we did. This is a first class resort from the second you drive through the gates. As some one else stated, they spared no expense in this park. All it took was a the walk from the rig to the office to decide we would want to come here again. The price is a little higher than we are use to paying , but the beauty of this facility goes a long way to make up for that. We were only here for the night, but we had a chance to check out everything. The meeting rooms, the store, the dog wash, the river access, laundry the whole shooting match. This resort is second to none as far as we are concerned. The laundry works great (at $3.00 a load, $1.75 wash, $1.25 dry) and even the jeans dried the first time around in the drier. There are two dog walk areas where you can let your pooch off leash to take care of business, then there is river access to let them go for a run if you like. If they get a little mucky, there is a first class self service Dog wash area ($5.00) that will let you clean up your pooch just like at a groomers. The pads are nice and level as well as long and wide. The staff is very friendly. We tried out the pool as well as the hot tub and just fell in love with this place. The bath rooms and showers are very nicely done and well maintained, though we always use the facilities in our rig for the most part. Though there aren't many street lights, there is adequate pedestal lighting so that you can safely walk around the park at night. Though we won't make this our only RV destination, as we like to stay at state parks on occasion, we will be here a number of times each year, despite the 170 mile trip one way. We look forward to our return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
WOW! What a great Resort. A true big rig, pet friendly resort. Brand new and sparkling clean. They have all the amenities you could ask for. Pool, spa, tennis, basketball (half court) lawn bowling (soon) 2 laundries, large meeting rooms and an outdoor river viewing deck with comfortable chairs. They even have a pet wash area. There are also 2 enclosed pet exercise areas and walking paths around the park and along the river. Our pet felt as welcome as we did. No problem if you need a site and want to stay hooked up on a brief stay. The sites are not only long but wide. The river sites have dual hook ups for either front-in or back-in. The also have buddy sites. The staff is first class. There is a grocery store, video rental, card store, laundry and much more in walking distance. If there would be one negative, you are near I 5 and there is some road noise, though we didn't hear it inside our coach. Of course being close to I-5 is also a plus for accessibility. The Wi-Fi is strong. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a brand new park along the Sacramento river. Very nice spaces & landscaping. Wide spaces with all the room for a very big coach. This park caters to handicapped also. It is right next to the freeway which means there is some road noise but that didn't bother us. It doesn make it easy to find though. Our price was a little high but we were right next to the river. They said it was the best spot in the park. It was ! We will stay here agian. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV park is as good as it gets. We half time and stay in a lot of parks and these people have spared no expense. They just opened two weeks ago and the park is beautiful. Great staff and a short walk to grocery and drug store, etc., yet has the feel of being in the country. We have a 41' DP with toad and the pull throughs are really wide and long. Industrial strength Wi-Fi and 127 volts on the 50 amp. They have a really large, beautiful pool and hot tub. The clubhouse facilities for clubs are first class. You can tell that we will be staying here every time we go up and down I-5. We camped here in a Motorhome.
First of all, the rate I listed is for a prime location - riverfront space. There are many sites available for $38. This resort is truly a resort. They have an excellent massage therapist available at a very reasonable rate. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and "green" with drought-resistant landscaping and water conservation practices. The pool is huge with roped-off lanes for swimming laps. There is also a hot tub and an lovely area for BBQing with a large group. The clubhouse is elegant with huge leather chairs, a large flat screen TV, a big kitchen and dining area for parties. The laundry facilities and showers have a balcony that overlooks the river with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. There is a small basketball court, a pet area, and easy access to the Sacramento River with areas where dogs can swim. The sites are level and very wide. The staff is so kind and helpful, more so than any other RV park we have visited. It is located very close to a little shopping center for groceries, movie rentals and such. There are several espresso shops nearby as well. This resort was so welcoming that we stayed extra nights in spite of a tight schedule. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a preliminary comment, rather than a review. We were looking forward to camping at this brand new RV resort in late June 2008. According to their website, they opened June 15th. Good thing we called for reservations; they were not expected to open for at least another month. The host I spoke with said there was still "lots" to do. Our motorhome club is booked to stay at this resort in Spring 2009, so we were offered a tour (wearing hard hats) if we liked. Looks great on the web; hope someone reviews this as soon as they are allowed--be sure to call first! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We visited the park to determine if this was indeed a place we would like to possibly camp. The campground itself is nice, however the location is not. It sets in between the freeway a residential neighborhood and a shopping complex. This gives it more of a "RV park" feel rather than a "resort" feel. The location in relation to the river is right next to the freeway bridge overpass and there is no boat launch at the park. After viewing the website, We expected more scenery and quiet seclusion. I would not be interested in visiting the park anytime in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
