Directions to the FamCamp were wrong! Wound up scraping the fender when directed by MP to move out of line at the entrance to the base. This FamCamp does not adhere to the 14 day limit. Sites level, but all back in. Interior roads paved, but narrow. Wi-Fi was not coming in at our site. We had to walk up and sit on a concrete picnic table to get a connection. Grass in the FamCamp appeared to not have been mowed for weeks. Despite the negatives, we would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Stopped here for a few days to tour Oklahoma City en route to Grand Canyon. Nice Park. No reservations available but we called prior to arrival regarding availability. Host was great and helped us back into the site. Level concrete site. As with most military campgrounds, it was a little tight. Nice walk around the lake in the morning. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate reflects military rate. Level, paved sites. Interior roads paved, but slightly narrow, saw one big rig having trouble getting into site. With-in walking distance of shopping and Noble Roman's pizza. Across base from BX/Commissary complex. Friendly/helpful staff. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Camp host on site was very gracious. The sites are back in only, but we had no problems with our 27' travel trailer nor did my parents in their 42' motorhome. Sites were paved and level and amenities were easy to hook up to. We shared a power supply box with our neighbors, which wasn't a problem and our cord reached just fine. Very quiet. The laundry was very clean with magazines to read (many current within past few months), television, and books left by other campers. I was shocked that it was only .50 to wash and the same to dry! That was probably my favorite part. Domino's delivered to us in the park and we had a nice time. Note: they don't take reservations. It's a first come/first serve basis. They do have overflow with no amenities, but lots of room. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very clean and well maintained military campground. The laundry facility was clean and had 3 washers and 3 dryers which cost $.50 each per load. Parking and maneuvering is quite tight. The only improvement that would make this campground any better would be cable TV. No reservations are taken and Military/Reserves/Guard/DOD Civilians are on a first come first served basis. We got the last site available at about 1530 hrs. There is an overflow area if you get here after all sites are taken. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is for Military members only. All sites were back in. We camped here for three days. Separate parking for toads by campsite. Well kept campground, secure, and clean. Shower has three stalls with changing stall. Did not use laundry but looked in, very clean, two machines (washer/dryers). Shopping next to campground. Entrance is through truck gate, easy in and out. Railroad nearby but only heard one train during our stay. Midwest City is next to Oklahoma City with I-40, I44, and I-35 nearby. Close to OKC museums, Murrah Building (Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum) a must see. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
