This was a good stop on our way to Texas. It is close to the freeway unlike the other state parks on Lake Eufaula. There are several campgrounds inside the park. Not all the campgrounds have been updated, but the Turkey Creek campground has been upgraded with gigantic concrete slabs, BBQ and picnic tables that no private campground can compete with. No need to disconnect the tow vehicle, several pull-through sites available. Camp host comes to your site for payment. Showers take quarters, did not use. If you visit Creek Nation Casino, and Choctaw Casinos, you get $10 free play. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place must have been updated since the previous review. It looks brand new with large concrete pads, BBQ grills, and despite the drought, the grass was green. While there are lots of trees, most of them are not at the full hookup sites. We stayed 3 days and enjoyed walking along the lake shore and cooking out in a brand new never been used grill. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This review is for Turkey Flat campground only. The pads are grass, all RV sites were in the middle with very little shade. No fire rings, grills were full of debris. A little run down and in need of maintenance. I did not visit the restrooms so I don't have an opinion. It was a nice quiet camp but would be quite busy on a summer weekend. Good place to stop for a night, not for an extended period. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I am only reviewing the Turkey Flat section of this CG. There are about 40 sites with a mix of back-in and pull throughs. The pull throughs are dual sites and some have full hook ups. But oddly, one side has 30A and the other 50. There was no host and the map is useless to determine site utilities. Stop and look around. Picnic tables and grills are on some sites but not others. No fire rigs. Bath house was clean, voltage and water was good. Pads are grass and there were tire ruts which indicates a possibility of getting stuck in wet weather. Not much shade unless you are around the perimeter of the campground. There is no boat ramp in this section, but a golf course is nearby. Discount available for the disabled. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I suspect this park is very busy when the weather is warm. It is right on Lake Eufala. There are sites to suit just about anyone; pull throughs, equestrian, groups, primitive tents. It was quiet. Most of the traffic seemed to be going to the Choctaw Lodge and Casino or the golf course. Staff was very friendly. Fellow in the office was very helpful. My only complaint was the signage. You had to select and make a turn before seeing a sign letting you know whether you were correct or not. The office is at the back of the park so you have no idea what Turkey Flat or Echo Ridge mean until you find the office. There is a lot of literature available in the office covering everything the park offers. I'll be back next spring for the fishing. They are looking for "State Park Partners" to do maintenance and building projects. Might be fun to volunteer for a while. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We spent one night here on the way to Missouri. It's a big park with equestrian trails, marina, swimming area, hiking, boating, and fishing. Nobody was around for directions so we picked a spot in the RV section. It was a pull-thru, full hookup, 30 amp. A couple of hours after arriving, a ranger came to collect the camping fee. I would have like to see better instructions and directions on how to get a site when the ranger is unavailable. We camped here in a Motorhome.
