Hi, I stayed at site #172 which offers a nice view of the Valley. The trade off is that this site has no shade. There are lovely raised fire capable barbeques and wood is provided free of charge. The dump site has a flush hose provided--but has no male threads on it. The Electric is 30 amps--but exhibits great stability with almost no voltage drop. This might be because I arrived on a Sunday night and the campground was almost empty. The seasonal sites had RV's in them, but there were almost no other folks around about. There are also 20 amp plugs, so I used an extra shore power cord for just my converter. The washrooms and laundry facility were clean. Part of the park near the lake is flooded. That includes the mini golf facility, the beach and the picnic spots near the lake. My Sasktel GSM data modem worked extremely well at this location. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
First off the provincial policy toward non resident campers, including non resident Canadians stinks. They charge 8.00 per night extra if you are not a Saskatchewan resident. For that reason alone i would not return. Sites are spacious and nicely laid out. There is 30 amp power only at the site. You must water up and dump your tanks at central locations in the park. i would expect if this non friendly policy toward visitors keeps up, the parks will be largely used by Saskatchewan residents. We camped here in a Motorhome.
There are several campgrounds within Echo Lake Provincial. Park. We stayed in a tenting area up on the top of the valley. The views were incredible! Challenging hiking paths, be prepared for very steep hills. Saskatoon bushes were heavy with fruit all around the campground. The sites do have some shade but are more open. Good for cool breezes, but not so good if you want seclusion. The beach has lawn areas, playground, volleyball, and good sand. Water is a little green, but toughen up and make like a pioneer and make the best of it! A very enjoyable campground, and the town of Fort Qu'Appelle is a short drive away, for supplies, and some interesting shopping and restaurants serving this cottage community. We camped here in a Motorhome.
