Adjacent to a national forest, camping here is the same as camping in the forest. It is a nice, clean, well-managed campground, but the trees sometimes make it tight to drive to your site, if you have a long rig. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms in the downhill section, where we were, are acceptably clean, but could be better. For example, mopping has left a lot of dried, spattered muddy water on the baseboard heater. We recommend this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We camped here while attending Geowoodstock in the Warren area. We enjoyed our stay and we are very pleased with the management and facilities at this KOA. There is a wide variety of sites, most of which will accommodate big rigs. There are sites in the trees that offer lots of shade and other sites more in the open that are satellite friendly. The owner manages the daily operations and he was friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was only available near the office, but we had a good 3G signal on our Verizon Zoom. This is a great KOA and we will return next time we are in this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is located in the Allegheney Mountains and is great if you are an outdoor person. We were able to hike or bike someplace different everyday. The park is clean, the owners were nice. The road through the park is very rough and needs some gravel, we also thought that the price of propane was high . No cable or Wi-Fi at our site, I had to go to the lodge for Wi-Fi. For the price per night, compared to other KOA's we think that this campground is a bit pricey. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We got a very nice welcome. The desk clerk recommended a site where we got satellite. It is a quiet park, but pricey for what you get, in our opinion (no 50amp, no cable). Lots of things to do in the area. Fall leaves were beautiful. There are good gravel interior roads, grassy sites, lots of trees. Wi-fi was at our site but some people had to use the pavilion near the office. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is very nice. The kids loved the little playground. It is also very close to Kinzua Dam. The pool was beautiful, although it was too cold to swim in it the weekend we were there. Some sites were deep in the woods, others were out in the open. I had to guess on the number of sites because I think there were a lot more in the woods that we didn't see. There was a bear that visited the dumpster nightly, and once during the day. Needless to say, I did not let the kids wander at all. I did not see that any activities were planned other than a pancake breakfast. This would be a very nice place to stay if you were in the area for a different activity and just needed a nice quiet place to sleep. We camped here in a Motorhome.
