This campground has a great location near the Hot Springs and shops. It was nice being so close to the river and having grassy areas to play sports. Also the staff was friendly. Only downfall was some of the louder group campers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Pros: A friendly front desk, convenient shuttle service to the hot springs, shopping, golfing, clean pool for the kids, good running (jogging) location. Cons: Was very little water pressure in less than pristine showers, the free WiFi is only available at sites very close to office. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The only downside of beautiful Spruce Grove is that the free WiFi didn't reach to our site on the river. We had plenty of room to back into our site, and loved walking our dogs through the grounds. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is perfect: the hot springs are only a 5 minute drive away, and half-price ($5 Canadian) for the last hour of the day, 9-10 p.m. This is a great overnight park on the way to Banff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Fairmont Hot Springs is much less crowded than Radium, so it's a good place to relax. This park is right on the highway, so expect some noise. Night traffic is very modest, so it is livable. All of the W\E\S hookups are right by the road, but there are many sites well off the road and very quiet, very private. Internet works well in the several sites near the road, but not the more remote ones! Would stay again for a short stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Excellent family campground. Pool is right behind the office and is nice and looks clean. The office staff are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking space and access to the sites in the front area of the park. The back section next to the river looked at little bit cramped for large rigs. They don't seem to have many full hook up sites. Water pressure isn't bad, and the sites are clean. The free WiFi was fast and worked at our site which was directly in view of the office, but was told that it didn't reach all sites. Very convenient access directly off the highway - traffic noise was a little bothersome at busy times, but not too inconvenient. They have fire pits and grassy sites, with gravel pads. There is a small playground area for kids. Overall, I would recommend this park as an economical alternative in town. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
