We arrived to a full campground on Sunday of Memorial weekend, and on Monday everyone but ourselves, the camp host and two other trailers left. It is a beautiful campground right on the lake but close to the store, restaurant and ice cream. Our site (#23) was rated at 30 ft., but a 35 foot trailer could fit. Many of the sites are fine for larger rigs. As one reviewer wrote, be careful because a lot of the sites are double driveways and not good for a solo RV. We looked at all the campgrounds on the lake and like this one the best. College also looked nice. This is a very nice area for fishing, hiking and generally hanging around. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Love camping here. We have been camping at Deer Creek for eighteen years. It is a great campground if your are into sailing. No showers, but that's okay with us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This small campground is right on the lake and is just a walk away from the boat ramp. Great place to stay if you are bringing a boat. Sites aren't particularly private, but lots of tall Lodgepole pines give it shade. Short walk to Lakeshore restaurant, bar and market. Campground near lakeside road for great bike riding. Good departure point for day trips to Florence, Edison and Mono Hot Springs. Mostly tent campers, but we brought our 5th wheel and got a double site, and selected a premium site which took our rate up to $48 per night. (A little high for a site without utilities: but still nice.) Roads a little tight for the bigger units. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Huntington Lake is a pristine and beautiful lake. This Forest Service campground is our favorite and we book a long time in advance to score a spot. So well maintained. While not totally private, spaces are far enough apart to remember you are in the wilderness. Some spots are actually two driveways with camping on either side. So avoid those if you don't want window next to yours. Our favorite site is Number 7. It's a double spot and cost twice as much, but backs up to the forest and accesses a wonderful walking path across streams. This spot normally fits a 25 ft vehicle in it. But by angling our big 5th wheel in, we fit great. Why am I telling you this? We don't want you here!!! But it's truly a gem! Hosts always helpful and accommodating. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
