Leonard Harrison state part has a rather small campground. A campground map is available from the Pennsylvania State Parks web site. All non-electric sites are among trees. Sites 12, 14, and 19 are among some tall pine trees and are great for hammocks. The electric sites (except for 23 and 25) are in the open. Avoid site 6, it is right next to the pathway to the bath house. The bath house is fairly new. There is only one shower in each of the men's and women's rooms. There is a family rest room that also has an accessible shower. We camped here in a Tent.

This small state park is reached via some narrow and hilly roads out of Wellsboro. There are only about 6 sites with 30 amp service, and the rest are dry camping sites. The rate shown is for an electric site with a senior discount (do not need to be PA resident for the discount). There is one bathhouse for the campers. Sites were on grass and our site was a convenient pull-through. In early June, the area was quiet and very laid back. The developed overlook with views into the canyon is free and spectacular. This is an excellent spot to stay while bicycling (or hiking) the 60+ mile long Pine Creek rail-trail in the bottom of the canyon. We biked to a couple of pretty villages in the bottom on a stone dust trail. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind staying again sometime. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean state park. The bathroom facility has a "family bathroom" which is wonderful when camping with two small kids. The playground was nice too. Also we had issues with our electric and the ranger was very helpful, even though it turned out to be a problem with our trailer and not the site. I would return another time. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

One of this full-timer’s favorite parks. It’s well off the beaten path and has only a half-dozen electric hookups. Water is obtained from several shared standpipes, so bring your own or many lengths of hose. The solitude and gorgeous scenery at this state park, which is located on the rim of the “Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania” more than make up for these minor inconveniences. If you enjoy the outdoors, this park’s for you. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful, small state park on the east rim of the Grand Canyon of PA. Pine Creek Gorge is a 5 minute walk from the campsites. 2/3 of the sites are non-electric, and 1/3 of the sites have 20/30/50Amp service. Water standpipes are numerous, but none are dedicated to any one site. Bath house was clean, and cleaned daily, but only 3 showers total. The scenery is fantastic and the sites are level and large. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
