We camped here late August midweek so it was not crowded. We were in the area for State Fair. We were surprised that it was not more crowded. Our site was on the water and we had some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The beach was closed, which was disappointing since I thought it was still going to be open since it was before Labor Day, but it looked to be very nice. The bathrooms were clean. You do have to drive to get to the showers as these are near the beach. Only complaint was we arrived after 6pm and were unable to obtain the code to open the door to the restroom. Had to leave a message on the campground phone line but they did eventually respond. Just wish they would let people know that if you arrive late this is something you need to be aware of. i did feel safer knowing that there was a code for the door though. Sites were open but shady. Site were OK in size..you might feel a little crowded during peak season. Lots of places to walk our dogs. We camped here in a Tent.
Sites are wide, some are not very deep; most are level. Bathrooms were clean enough, but could have been better. Nice spot for our Golden to swim in the lake. Good location to visit family and locations on the north or west side of Syracuse. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice county park. Only 3/4 mile from route 81. Has a boat ramp, playground and beach area with life guards. Ice and firewood is available. Sites are a little small, however most will accommodate a 40' foot motorhome. Park is located on Oneida lake, the site of many bass fishing tournaments. We camped here in a Motorhome.
