OK, all the previous reviews are correct. Scary part of town, so we didn't even grocery shop at a nearby grocery store while we were here; will do it when we arrive at next destination. Bathrooms were old but surprisingly clean. If you want a close destination to French Quarters and don't mind HWY noise, then this is an okay place to stay for a couple of days if you are careful and also do your grocery shopping before you arrive. It also rained two days really hard while we were here and the drainage is good. Should have been $20 a night not $30!! There were only about 4 RV travelers in the whole park; the rest are permanent workers that park their RVs there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Whoa. This is a scary place and a cat breeding ground to boot. The pool is filthy. The amenities are old and gave me the heebie geebies. Really nasty part of town, near the hwy, and train tracks. And, it is definitely located on the wrong side of those tracks. I wish I hadn't booked and paid before seeing it. I actually considered leaving and camping in Walmart but then felt I would prefer to have the gated protection of the Riverboat. Later, I wondered who I was being gated with? Felt uneasy the whole time. Kept everything locked up tight. Couldn't wait to leave in the morning. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is a small gated parking lot. No frills here however all the services worked well, I felt very secure and the owner is friendly and helpful. For anyone stopping to sight see New Orleans, it is a perfect stop. Right off the I-10, city bus stop right in front and grocery store right down the street. If we come back to New Orleans we will stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The owner is SO nice. He help us with the area and gave us tips where to go and what to do. We knew that the area was not the safest place on earth but the entrance is always close and you need a card to open it. We've been told by some locals that it's not safe to take bus after 9pm, take a cab instead. It cost 3$ round trip per person to go in French Quarter. Take it, parking is expensive there. The only issue I had with the site was the sewer is located at the end of each places so my sewer pipe wasn't long enough to connect it. Good choice overall. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was renovated by the owners after Katrina, the restroom/shower house was remodeled this year. The campground is clean and luckily close to the French Quarter, safety was not a issue as the park is enclosed and the owners are always around, additionally it is a comfort to know a New Orleans policeman lives on site. The Food plus store on site has everything you might need. The swimming pool is sparkling clean and well maintained. The owners are pet friendly but do expect you to keep the dogs leashed and pick up after them. The place called city park is just a few miles away if you wish to take pets for a long walk. For the price this place is my choice in New Orleans. Basic rate is 30 per night except when Special events are going on such as Jazz fest, and that rate is for any size bus or RV. The owners welcome AAA and Good Sam for a 10% discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is definitely not a family park. They are a Passport America park also. It has a working salvage yard on the west side, US10 and a Super 8 Motel on the east. It is fenced with a high Cyclone fence but that does not keep the noise out. It does have a swiming pool but it was filled with green slime and tadpoles. They offered the Passport America discount and than charged for cable TV and sewer hookup after the discount. It is located in what has to be the worst neighborhood in New Orleans with lots of Goverment housing around the park. Once you get in the park, you have to disconnect your toad to get turned around. Several full sized mobile homes at the south end with engine hoists and junk cars and engines laying around. Also several year round residents in those trailers. Stay away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not much there. It is a Good Sam Park, but it is in a very bad area, and it backs up to I-10, therefore it is very noisy. About five miles to downtown, and the French Quarter. Not much to look at. Not much choice in New Orleans proper. There are three other RV parks within three or four blocks of Riverboat RV Park. None of them looked any better. I wouldn't get out and walk the streets in that area of town. We camped here in a camper.
