This is a national forest campground and is a primitive facility. Meaning there are very clean pit toilets and lots of available faucets for drinking water. Otherwise there are no added amenities. This is basic camping in every way. The campground is perfect. We will definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived after Labor Day when no reservations accepted but plenty of sites open. Our 40' motorhome would fit in about 10 sites, although the trees need trimming over the entrance road for high RVs. The vault toilets were clean. This campground is at 7800' elevation on the Crystal River. County Road 3 comes into Hwy 133 at the north side of McClure Pass and is easy to miss. County Road 3 leads to Marble. The campground is one mile off Hwy 133. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This has been our favorite campground for a very long time. The problem is you need to make a reservation well ahead of time. Waterfront sites were not available and the area seemed overtaken with tall grass and shrubs, but that could be from a lot of rain. Camp hosts were excellent and the restrooms were always clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

White River National Forest campground - beautiful views, plenty of shade & privacy, more than half of sites are riverfront. Typical of national forest, there are no amenities, but the hosts keep the chemical toilets clean. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
