The glowing review from 2 years ago fooled us into staying here, since we wanted to ride the bike trail along the lake. The park is very convenient for that, plus water sports. Some of the sites on the lakefront have shade trees, although they are narrow sites and you might get a stupid neighbor. The older couple next to us decided to pull forward instead of backing in for the proper hookups. Since their electric cord was too short (duh), they just plugged into our power pole. We were on the 30amp, so they used the 20amp. And our voltmeter dropped to the danger zone, below 110. Luckily, we had not turned on the AC yet, though it was very hot. Told the neighbor to plug into his own power pole ! Things got more hectic as 2 rental trucks showed up with tents and supplies for a bike excursion company that took over the grass tenting area, and some 30 or so cyclists arrived, mostly families. They proceeded to trash the one restroom/shower house, which was pretty nasty anyway, since it's open to ANYONE. We were happy to be on the trail but not in these conditions. If you have a big rig and they can fit you in and you don't use the shower, you'll be better off...but good luck with the steep driveway into the park. At least the cell and internet worked fine on Verizon. By the way, that solitary shower takes quarters only. Can't believe we paid $35 plus shower money for this dusty parking lot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a gem of campground! Right on the Lake of Coeur d'Alene with marina, a small beach and the 70 mile bike trail of the Coeur d'Alene's located beside it. Hospitable camp host and beautiful scenery! There is a sewer dump on site. It is about 1 hour from the city of Coeur d'Alene and, if towing, best to access via I-90 and highway 3. The scenic route highway 97 is very narrow and winding for towing but gorgeous view for a drive. We will definitely return and have recommended the campground to family and friends. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
