We stayed at the main RV park near the marina on base. The marina offers boat rentals. The small beach at the marina is not suited for swimming and a camper next to us cut his foot on a shell requiring stitches. However, the emerald water of Panama City Beach is just a few minute drive from the RV park. The sites are way too close together leaving you practically on top of your neighbor. The RV sites do not have fire rings, but there are some community fire rings in the pavilion area. The bathrooms are nice and clean. Each bathroom has its own toilet, sink, and shower and offers privacy. The staff was very nice and they towed our dolly to the storage lot and assisted us in getting into our site. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a beautiful park with water views. The sites are small and tricky to get into with our 38 foot fifth wheel. They also have an off base campground that we drove past. It has larger sites, easier access, but has no view. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
