Access to the park is via a 3 km fair paved road off highway 97. Good paved park roads. Water is available from a tap situated across from the campground hosts. Restrooms and showers are nearby. A few electric sites located in the parking lot. Our site was a fairly level gravel back-in. Good view of Kalamalka Lake as campground sites are on several terraced loops. No Wi-Fi available. I didn’t check TV, although there should be a couple of channels available off the air. I couldn’t get any Telus cell phone coverage. Some noise is noticeable from the highway above the park. Even so I would still return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Situated on Kalamalka Lake this campground is located about 2 miles off highway 97. Access road is old and crumbling pavement at first – watch for potholes. Park roads are good pavement. Sites are all gravel back-ins located on three road loops. There are 3 electrical “sites”, but they are located in the southwest corner of the parking lot. Our site was fairly level. Like the rest of the regular sites on the loops there are no utilities, cable TV, or Wi-Fi. It had a typical BC Parks cedar table along with a fire ring. There is no shade as the trees are still fairly young. The view of the lake was spectacular as most of the sites are on terraces. Wildflowers on the terraces and around the sites make this an attractive park. Water is available from a tap across from the campground host. There is a restroom/shower house near site 20, but I did not inspect it. A bird nest set up nearby had an osprey family. This is a good park for just getting out in your chair to relax or take a hike on one of the trails. There is also a playground for the kids and a boat ramp (have to cross train tracks) for those who want to fish or ski. Even with train tracks nearby I never heard any go by. We would return to this park. Out of 72 sites there are 50 reservable and 22 first come first served. This park fills up very quickly in the summer. The 3 electric “sites” aren’t on the reservation system yet. We camped here in a Motorhome.
