We ended up staying at Sugar Creek Glen as our attempt to stay at another park was awful. We had a week of 90 degree heat and found ourselves running the motorhome generator much of the day. Moving down the street to Sugar Creek Glen upgraded us to electric sites along with site water. While this was our second stay at Sugar Creek Glen we were glad to see new owners this year. This is a gorgeous park alongside a creek which just needed some TLC to make it spectacular. The new owners were just what the park needed. They went out of their way to meet our request for a site right on the creek. This was important as our two girls enjoyed playing in the stream. It was nice having the kids in our view throughout the day. It also made it easy for the whole family to enjoy our daily walk up the creek to the multiple falls. We also enjoyed the weekend activities of Christmas in July. This presented a visit by Santa, small gifts for the kids, and a large camp fire. We enjoyed the time talking to all of the campers. Comments by the seasonal campers were very supportive of the new management and maintenance of the park. Our impression of everything was similar. We certainly look forward to coming back again next year to see further updates to a wonderful campground. Roads were slightly narrow matching previous reviews; however, we could easily maneuver our 35 ft motorhome without difficulties. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I wish I had a smaller pop-up like rig to navigate the place. Everything is absolutely beautiful, except some of the seasonal sites. And the inside of the bathroom. Still for $25 a night, it's a good place to hang out for the weekend or more. It's not a resort, but then again the resorts are asking you to pay 3 times as much. Moral: You get what you pay for. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stay in the non-electric sites so that we can be next to the stream. There are several waterfalls and fantastic creek walking. The new owners are friendly and working hard to improve the campground while keeping the rustic feel. This place is a favorite of ours but, If you are looking for an RV resort, this is not your place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The road to get to this campground is very rough and off the beaten trail. The roads at the campground are very narrow. Sites are small and the bathroom is very "Rustic". This is a campground that hasn't changed in years. It is not a RV park it's a campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

When I made reservations here, I was very specific about the size of our rig. We have a 29 foot 5th wheel. The site was certainly deep enough for the rig, but the roads were unbelievably narrow, twisting, with trees leaning into the roadway. The owner gave me the vaguest of directions ("oh, go down there, follow the loop."). Many friendly people (in varying degrees of intoxication) came out to help us. We did eventually manage to park the rig, but not before the truck and I were both pretty overheated. The glen is indeed lovely. The kids enjoyed the playground. There are many permanent sites at this park, some of which are terribly junky. Our neighbor across the way seemed to have quite a relationship with his leaf blower. Go figure. The really worrisome part was that the pumpout area seemed to be over-full and possibly leaking. There was a lot of liquid around the pumpout, running down the nearby hill (right toward a number of campsites). Nice gorge, but we won't camp there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Gorgeous setting in a Glen with 5 waterfalls. One waterfall is very easily accessible and is lit at night. The Glen culminates in a beautiful double waterfall. Nice playground. Has a Rec Room. Only one main bathroom with showers (only 2). Other areas have Latrines with incineration that wasn't as bad as I imagined. A lot of nice sites by the stream for tents. This was a nice quiet, relaxing campground that had friendly happy seasonals and many nice families. Beware during rainy season, the Gorge floods and the stream runs fast and furious. Would go back but another bathroom and some updating would bode well for this campground. Some sites are very small but staff seems to be well aware of this and assigns sites accordingly. Road is windy and may be difficult at times for large rigs to turn. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
