Good overnight stop. Manager was very helpful. Park has a beautiful view of the Pacific. We had a pull-through site that sloped quite a bit and we had difficulty leveling our rig. Needed to run it up on front blocks to get near level. There were several folks here that came regularly, and other sites did not appear to have the degree of slope ours did. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Older, smaller park. Lots of permanent residents. Office was closed when we arrived mid-afternoon. Went to office next day to pay and was told they are no longer members of Good Sam (made reservations 5 days earlier). Also not told they charge per day for electric at site. Site was large enough marginally and small side to side. Would not stay here again due to their lack of honesty and not informing me of paying a daily rate plus electric. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Mainly is a permanent RV Park now with some pretty old trailers. Manager wife is rude, is friendly sometimes and mean with foul language most of the time and can be heard through most of the campground. Husband is great, friendly and a great guy. Not kid friendly as the manager does not relate well. Never did get a sewer hookup as they are taken up by the permanent residents. No privacy. Only stayed here a few times because other campgrounds were full, unfortunately. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is the first RV park we have departed without staying for more than enough time to reserve a site, pay with a credit card and get a refund immediately. Sites were close together and appeared to be filled with full-time campers. Sites were cluttered and not attractive. Person in office was kind enough to contact another RV park in Fort Bragg to be sure that we had a site to stay four nights. Unless you need a site for a night and nothing else is available in Fort Bragg, I would suggest avoiding this "rv park". We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground offers easy pull-through spaces which is convenient. However, the campground is flat and open with no privacy between spaces at all. There are trees surrounding the campground but very little vegetation by the sites. Good cell service and close to town. If you are looking for easy access and set-up, this is a good campground. If you want privacy, there is little to be found here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park has tremendous potential, but too many permanents makes the place look run down. The sites are gravel and most are close to being flat. The interior roads are paved. Fire rings at every site. During the long holiday weekend, many fishermen and abalone divers occupy the park and make for a festive atmosphere. Great big open field in the park for kids to ride bikes. Very friendly staff. I'd give it a higher rating except for the permanents. Right on highway 20 and only a few minutes from the ocean and downtown Ft. Bragg. We camped here in a Motorhome.
