We have camped at Mineral Springs Lake Resort, at Peebles, Ohio, for 26 years. We spend at least 4 days a week at the lake from April to October. We have never had problems with any staff at the park. They have always been helpful and capable of doing a good job. We have noticed more ATV traffic each year. The present manager is working on this problem. He had a specific area for them but they do not stick to those areas. I am sure that the problem will be taken care of. We're looking forward to going back April 2009. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is very run down. Roads are very poor and not maintained. The staff is very unfriendly. The campground allows off road 4 wheelers which run around all day and most of the night and are destroying the place. Ruts in the road are so bad my camper drug the back jacks off of the unit pulling in to the dump station. When I talked to the owner his response was, "Too bad." The water pressure was so low we could not use our shower. I talked to other campers, and they all told me that since the new management has taken over the place has fallen apart. With the high 4 wheeler and golf cart traffic the place is not safe for the kids, and I would not advise anyone to stay at this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is very crowded. I had heard great things about it and was very disappointed. The amount of traffic is unbelievable. They have every type of atv driving through the campground. Some of these are able to go in excess of 40 mph and this does not go well with children running around. There was an unbelievable amount of alcohol consumption in plain view, including the beach area. This is without a doubt a "party place" and more for the permanent campers. The sites are packed in side by side. You can tell that making money is a very important factor here. The overnight campers don't seem to be considered important enough at this campground. The scenery is beautiful. The lake and surrounding trails were very nice. But they were so crowded with people driving excessively fast and drinking that it was hard to enjoy. They were supposed to be golf cart, bicycle and walking trails, but, once again they were overrun by larger polaris rangers and similar vehicles that made you think twice about going on the trails. It was a disappointment, because we had heard good things from people that had been there in years past. It seems that this campground has had a tremendous increase in the number of sights in recent years and it truly has affected the atmosphere of the campground. It is not a place for families looking for a quiet weekend. It is more for weekend parties. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
