This is an acceptable RV park depending upon your expectations & rig. The park is close to the national park and has a popular restaurant, pool, car wash, live music on weekends, putt-putt, and laundry. But I think the park focuses more on the restaurant & other enterprises than the RV business. Pulling in the busy parking lot, you have no clue where to park your rig to check in. At the check-in desk, the lady was more busy taking pizza orders than attending to my RV. Then there’s a tree that literally blocks the north entrance with small limbs that hang to 5 feet off the ground. I asked for them to trim that tree…48 hours later nothing had happened. There is a south entrance that is tree-free if you are small enough to wind through the tight aisles. When you first enter, you don’t know about your options and the led me right to that treed north entrance. My spot was an 80’ long back-in, level, grassy, and satellite friendly on the north end. Hookups were at the rear and uphill making the sewer connection dicey. The south end of the park would only be suitable for small trailers as they park literally inches apart in short sites with cars partially blocking the roads. I saw slides open to within 6 inches of neighboring RVs on the south side. This park is suitable, even for bigger rigs, as long as you get a north side spot and they trim that tree at the north entrance. On the plus side, the park is very family friendly. We were there over a holiday weekend and the park was full. Free wifi only works in the restaurant. Rogers cell coverage was good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Signage to campground good. Area to park to register OK. Office efficient, very friendly and helpful. Access road to sites good to newly extended part of campground with big open aspect back-ins sites with full hook-ups. Had experienced very heavy rain which had made the sites very soft due to their newness. Overtime these sites will be fine to accommodate 'big rigs'. The campground owner was superb in sorting out where we could park in the campground and still have full hook-up without getting bogged down on a site. The electricity was solid and water pressure good. WiFi excellent. The customer attitude of the owners was superb. This is a good base particularly if you have a 'big rig' to explore the Riding Mountain National Park as you are less than half a mile from the entrance gate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
